Episode 3 The Snake Demon
After his encounter with the forest tiger, Batari Mahadewi underwent a change in many ways. Although he did not fully understand about the power stored in him, but he knew that he was different from other children at his age.
From then on, he had never again set foot in the forest because Nyi Turmeric forbade him. He was not afraid, and was curious. He just wants to keep his mother feeling.
At the age of 7, Batari Mahadewi looks much more mature than his actual age. The first seal that has been opened at the age of 2 years also automatically affects the ability of Batari Mahadevi in absorbing knowledge around him.
Sometimes he feels sad and lonely. He never really had any friends. He could not enjoy the game of children his age like Rangga son Nyi Santan or children from other neighbors. Sometimes when playing with his friends, he prefers to pay attention to them, teach them something they don't know yet, or warn them to be careful.
Batari Mahadevi is a brave child.when other children do not dare to play in places that are considered haunted, he actually even came there, look around, feel a certain energy, feel a certain energy, and learn the characters that appear in those places.
Batari Mahadevi was very thirsty for knowledge. Unfortunately, Nyi Turmeric and the people around him were not people who had extensive knowledge. They are just ordinary people so there is not much that can be learned by Batari Mahadevi except things in everyday life.
He learned more from nature. Little did he understand that animal gestures were a readable signal. Once he occasionally tried to communicate with animals, but unfortunately he was not able to do well. He could only understand the behavior of animals.
He could also sense that plants also had far more senses than humans and were much different in shape. If man could use his ears, nose, tongue, skin, and eyes to feel the world. One part of a plant such as a leaf has dozens of different senses, but its basic function is the same, namely to live and feel the world.
Strangely, this plant can record events that occur around it, so that basically the plant can reflect back everything that has happened there.
Batari Mahadevi has not been able to read the markings, for example on large trees that hold a long history. But he can easily learn and then read characters, both human and stealth characters. It just flows. But because of the limitations of characters that he can meet in his environment, there are not many things that he can read.
That is why, when Batari Mahadevi is alone, he will walk around the trees, looking for large trees that are tens or hundreds of years old, he said, to learn to read the history of the past recorded in the trunk of the tree. Later when he matures, he can fully interpret all the signs recorded in the trees, rocks, and everything that radiates energy.
Batari Mahadevi never tell this beyond reason ability to anyone. He thought that no one would believe him.
Once upon a time, after playing with his friends in the river, he did not come home soon. It's almost afternoon. He was sitting on a boulder, looking up at the sky that was beginning to cast orange streaks, hearing water flashing, the sound of birds, and feeling the unbroken whirling wind on his body. He then fell asleep.
In his sleep, he did not notice the presence of a large snake that moved very slowly approaching him. Of course this snake is not just any snake, but a hundred-year-old snake demon. Then the energy from the first seal that had been opened could not yet sense the arrival of the snake.
The walls in the empty space were filled with stealth characters whose shapes were much different from the characters he often saw in his surroundings.
The demon script in that empty space was all knowledge that contained the serpent's stealth. Every demon would store his knowledge in his body. From inside the snake's belly Batari Mahadevi studied stealth characters for the first time.
For seven days Batari Mahadewi was in the belly of the snake demon and during that time he learned the stealth script and learned all the knowledge of the snake demon.
Then what happened after the snake demon swallowed Batari Mahadevi? The serpent demon felt a great abdominal pain because it could not digest and absorb Batari Mahadewi and also could not vomit it. He did not expect that he would choose the wrong prey.
Instead, Batari Mahadewi's body continuously absorbed the energy from the snake demon and he himself could not stop it other than feeling like a huge energy was entering his body, flowing in his blood.
After fully mastering the knowledge of the snake demon, then he absorbed all the energy from the snake demon and then
it took out a large amount until the demon's stomach exploded. This was the first time Batari Mahadevi had studied martial arts and learned how to manage energy; absorbing, storing and expelling it with a certain power.
Within seven days, the villagers of Cemara Seribu were in an uproar because they heard the story of Batari Mahadewi's disappearance. They searched all corners of the village and the results were nil. Nyi Turmeric limp and had lost consciousness several times and was unceasingly crying over his lost son.
After coming out of the snake's stomach, Batari Mahadewi rushed home. From afar, Nyi Turmeric who saw his arrival immediately shouted in welcome, “Ankkuuuuu....Where are you son?” exclaimed Nyi Turmeric while crying as she pleased.
“I'm sorry mom, these few days I got lost in the forest.”Answer Batari Mahadevi. “Oh my son, why are you still playing in the forest? Didn't mom forbid you?” balas Nyi Turmeric.
“Already mom, don't be sad. The important thing is I survived.” Batari Mahadewi answered with a smile to calm his mother. He did not want the person he loved the most to be too worried for his safety. Don't you remember in the woods that day? Not even a tiger could hurt me. So you don't have to worry about me. I will definitely go home and meet my mother. Until I'll take care of mom."
Nyi Turmeric could only be silent and relieved. He knew very well the miraculous power of Batari Mahadevi and he never told anyone about the incident when he and Batari Mahadevi met a tiger in the forest at that time which became an experience that would not be he ever forgot.
