Pendekar Batari Mahadewi: The Journey to Find Your Self
Episode 161 Arrives on Ice Island

The sky on Luma Island looked dark. Thick cloudy cover the sunlight. Batari Mahadevi and Nala had been living on the island for several days to recognize new things and on the cloudy day they should both be leaving for the island of Ice. The money they have is exhausted they donate to the humans Luma looks needy.

“Are we leaving today?” ask Nala.

“Yes, although we do not expect the sky will turn dark and maybe soon the storm will fall. But that's not a problem, is it?” answer Batari mahadevi.

“What's wrong, anyway if we fly at full speed, we can avoid that cloud.” said Nala.

“Maybe we will fly for a few days to be able to reach the island. It is located at the end of the world three months.” Batari Mahadewi.

“Let's go, it's raining, and your food will get wet from it.” Nala.

The two warriors from the one-moon world shot rapidly into space, then flew south at the full speed they had. The bodies of both emanate a veil of energy light and when viewed from the island of Luma, they both look like shooting stars traversing the world, leaving behind a tail of brightly colored light.

The two young warriors did not intend to stop by again on the other islands they crossed. After five days of travel, the two felt a fairly drastic temperature difference. The more they approached the Island of Ice, the colder the air temperature became. And the sunlight just feels like a dim torch light.

The Island of Ice was visible. The sky that houses the island looks colorful with star decorations that are clearly visible scattered throughout the sky. Batari Mahadevi and Nala landed on a land that was all white and cold. Both must continuously emit warm air so that their bodies do not freeze. As far as they could see, all they saw was a stretch of snow and ice mountains.

“Do you think there is life on a cold island like this?” ask Nala.

“Yes, I can feel a thin radiance of energy. I think human settlements are far from here. Before continuing the journey, it helps us recover energy first. We don't know what we're going to experience on this island.” Answer Batari Mahdewi.

“Your interior is so much better than what I have. I haven't even been able to feel the radiance of energy from the inhabitants of this island.” Nala.

“What will be difficult is to find the location of the main energy source on this island. If the source is in the cave as we found on the island of Fire, then what we will do may be much more difficult. I know why we must absorb fire energy first before absorbing energy on the island of Es.” said Batari Mahadewi.

“If not wrong, when we are still absorbing the energy in the cave, Zotha's grandfather had asked for help on this island. But help did not come, and he thinks there must be something happening on this island.” Nala.

“Beliau also said that the number of residents on this island is not much and finding their existence is not an easy thing. He said, their bodies resemble this white snow.” Batari Mahadewi.

“What is certain, I believe the inhabitants of this island are tough humans.” Nala.

After both of them finished recovering the energy, the two continued their journey in a flying manner. Only in that way could both of them easily find the human settlement of the Island of Ice. Almost a quarter of a day is the time it takes them to reach an iceberg shaped like a clear crystal. On the walls of the mountain there are stairs that branch from the bottom to the top and each branch will be connected to large holes that are formed in such a way.

“I don't know, and I don't feel the radiance of energy in this place. It is better we check by entering one of the holes.” said Batari Mahadewi.

The two approached the mountain, landing on a staircase that turned out to be wide. The two walked closer to a hole that shaped like a door of the house and on the walls there are sculptures that form beautiful carvings and some of them are ice sculptures that will never melt.

“Excuse.” Batari Mahadevi said a greeting before he and Nala tried to go inside.

“It looks like this place has indeed been abandoned its residents.” Nala said, “there's no harm in us trying to get into.”

Batari Mahadevi and Nala went inside. Inside the room it turned out to be designed in such a way as to be a comfortable residence. There are various furniture such as tables, chairs, and others that are the same shape as other islands, just that all the furniture is made of clear ice that is very hard and will never melt, he said, unless it is being carried by heat.

“I didn't think there was a place like this. How could they live in this way?!” batari Mahadewi.

“That makes me wonder why they live in a place like this. There should be a reason, and one of the most reasonable reasons is, they can only live in a cold place like this, somehow.” Nala.

“Let's just go from here. I don't think we'll find anything here.” Batari Mahadewi. Both step out. But when they were about to move and slide into space, the figure of an old grandmother with an all-white body came out from one of the houses on the mountain. The grandmother looked at the two with an astonished look, then waved her hand towards Nala and Batari Mahadewi.

Batari Mahadevi and Nala came to the grandmother. His form is the same as humans in the world one moon, but his entire body until his hair is white like snow. Even his clothes were made of snow that seemed to be stuck just like that on his body and did not want to escape. The grandmother could not hide the charisma of his strength even though he did not emit energy at all, so Batari Mahadevi did not suspect that the grandmother was there.

“What are you guys doing here?” the grandmother asked when Batari Mahadevi and Nala were close enough to her.

“We just arrived on this island, grandma, we previously from Fire island and stopped for a while on Luma island then finally we came here.” Answer Batari Mahadevi.

“But it seems like you are not a Fire island man even though the shape of your ears and your fire energy courtship is the same as the people there.” The grandmother said while trying to read the two young people in front of her. “Let's go inside, it's not safe if you're outside.”

The three then entered the grandmother's house. The grandmother who walked bent over because she was too old allowed her guests to sit on a cold ice chair. There are no dishes available.

“Grandma said that it's not safe here, what's going on Grandma?” ask Batari Mahadevi.

“It has been a year, everyone evacuate to the city center. A creature named Vauran has risen from the dead. He was the most feared monster on the island since thousands of years ago. Her shape was actually not scary, she was a beautiful princess with a body filled with white feathers and she had a pair of wings on her back. It's just that, behind her beauty, she is a dangerous monster, at least for men. Vauran only eats male humans on the island of Ice. So be careful.” The grandmother said as she looked towards Nala.
