Those few weeks, Jian and Rui really never met Neo again. On several occasions, they had deliberately come to the Palace Hall to see how hard Neo trained.

Jian acknowledged Neo's great effort to prepare everything to protect him and Rui on the long journey.

"Jian, I think we should go up to him and talk to him." Rui persuaded Jian for the umpteenth time.

"Leave it first, Rui." Jian stepped out of the Palace Hall.

Rui was confused as to how to make Jian and Neo make up again. Rui had always understood Jian. If he didn't want anything, Jian would oppose him at any time. Moreover, just a Neo, Jian did not like Neo since he was in school. Alright. Rui will just shut up and wait for the wind to deliver a nice greeting to them.

They are no longer high school kids who only know how to read comics and learn Science. They even had magical powers that they managed to master after weeks of practice. Jian has Jilly to control the wind. Rui has Riu to control the fire. But they don't know what Pru has to help Neo stabilize his abilities in certain elements.

In order not to disappoint Neo's efforts, Rui occasionally invited Jian to repeat the lesson this morning. Jian was also earnest with his training. He said, just to protect himself.

"Jian, a few more days of monthly exams. Have you prepared it?" Rui asked on the sidelines of training.

"Is Rui with my group?" asked Jian.

Agg thought a little, looking at Rui's face, "Ah, I didn't notice the other faces on the Monthly Exam Board. He wasn't in your group, so I didn't find his face. Your other two group mates are Fu and Jez."

Jian looked at Rui with a dejected look, "We're not one group."

"It's okay, Jian. I will encourage you from behind," Rui smiled broadly, "You better accompany me to see that Monthly Exam Board, I also want to know which group I'm in."

"Thank you for the info, Agg. Hopefully you can give up on me in the exam later," Jian exclaimed as he left the front yard of the dormitory.

"I need to consider first, Jian." Agg laughed, "Ah, she's so sweet."

Far in front of the courtyard of the Palace Hall, Neo noticed a man who had just come to the dormitory to meet Jian.

Neo had already seen Jian's facial expression while talking to the high-class mage.

The exams finally came. Jian gathered with Jez and Fu. Rui's group friends are Neo and Sue. But Neo hasn't joined his group yet, Rui worries why Neo hasn't joined.

Jian had a glance towards Rui's group, Rui saw it, Jian must have felt it too. Why hasn't Neo joined?

"Where have you been, Neo?" sue asked, "The test has already started, we are in group 2, going forward after this."

"I know, after all, they're just starting, right?" Neo waved his hand. He looks relaxed.

On the stage, it was seen that the first group disciples were fighting against the other upper-class brothers. Jian saw Agg standing opposite him. The man looked impatient about to fight with Jian on stage. Jian did not realize that Neo was observing him and had always observed him since the two of them did not rebuke each other.

Now it was time for Rui, Neo and Sue to take the fighting stage. A woman named Flo with a golden identity card was already standing on stage facing her underclassman.

"Hey, White Card, you ready?" Flo looks proud of her ability, "I heard that guy was the chosen single student, huh? How could Master Hudie be interested in you, son? You look weak."

Neo ignores him, but Sue hopes Neo will hit him on the spot, but it seems that Neo knows the rules better than when he was in school.

The bell rang, "I can start the attack, right?" Neo looked at Flo sharply. Without a cue, his body disappeared and appeared in front of Flo, just a few cents away from his face. Neo didn't even take out his wand. Just relying on the magic card in his body to teleport a split second without the need for a portal. Without giving a gap, Neo punched under Flo's chin. The girl fell to the point of almost falling off the stage.

"Look at that arrogant boy, who fell down when I did not cast any magic. Should we just fight boxing?" Neo reached out his hand helping Flo stand up, "I did it because you're senior in this matter. I can't be disrespectful."

Flo brushed Neo's hand. With an annoyed face he pulled out his magic wand, the wand flew by itself and moved to and fro trying to hurt Neo and Sue. Flo was only silent while crossing her arms in front of her chest, all that was visible was that she concentrated on controlling her magic wand in order to have a chance of repelling Neo.

"What'sthis? That's cheating! I didn't even take Pru out at all. You stand still and rely on your staff!" Neo called out for protest.

"Why? You mind? Or you haven't mastered it yet? Huh! Sure oes. Your magic card is still white, there is no power in you that can control a magic wand as powerful as 'Golden Cards' like me. After all we are allowed to unleash all our abilities to make you lose!" Flo makes her magic wand fly faster and more accurately. Neo couldn't avoid that many attacks. Sue makes a transparent barrier to avoid herself, Rui and Neo get hit by Flo's crazy stick punch.

"What should we do, Neo?" Rui asked worriedly.

"What magical elements have you mastered, Rui, Sue?" Neo asked seriously.

"Eh, we only master the Fire Element." Sue replied, "But you don't know what you're really good at. You practice separately with us. So maybe your magical powers are more special."

"Nothing special, I'm just overtime. Must master a one-year lesson in just one month. It turns out it's still no better than Flo's magical powers!" Neo came out of the barrier Sue made, "Bake him with fire thousands of degrees centigrade, Rui! Sue, make the concentration break so that I can easily destroy the formation of the stick. Use a basic illusion spell to get him sidetracked for a few seconds."

"What spell?" Sue smashed her own barrier, Rui was already moving, flying high to unleash the super-hot flames that she was already able to control.

A wind blew out of Neo's hand, right on Flo's forehead standing silently watching without realizing what Neo was going to do to her, the rest of the force crashing into the tree, made the tree sway and dropped some fruit.

Sue immediately moved to help Rui who was already preparing to let out a fire. Neo looked up, himself looking surprised, "Hey, Rui! Are you seriously going to grill it? I don't mean him, but the stick! Leave the girl to Sue. Sue, you just hit her chin. Rui, you come here! This stick is still hard to deal with, when Sue breaks her concentration, let out your fire to bake this damn stick!" Neo exclaimed out of patience as Rui misunderstood his explanation.

Rui just immediately left from a high location, "Sorry, but you didn't say anything about the stick."

Neo patted his forehead, "It's so stupid!"

The joke-filled fight ended in Rui, Neo and Sue's triumph. At the end, Sue asked how Neo could master Basic Illusion Magic. Neo said he just happened to have it.

"Neo will definitely soon become a Silver Card." Tomu who greeted them below replied.

"Next month, you may have switched classes, Neo. I'm glad to hear that." Sue smiled kindly.

"Ah, but I don't want to." Neo waved, "There's something more interesting to explore than living in second grade."

Yep. It was a journey looking for the Hourglass, Candle and Key.
