One week has passed. Jian was still comfortable with his sleeping position. Perhaps it was because of Zhu's extremely warm healing energy.
It had been one week, Neo had only taken the time to accompany Jian in the room. During that time, he was preoccupied with healing his wounds. Pun Jian was not allowed to visit for a while after they arrived from the Yellow Blob Forest.
"Jian, I'm finally seeing you again." Neo tidied Jian's hair. This was the first time for him to communicate with Jian this close.
"I'm sorry that it pushed you away alone. Other than being forced into circumstances, maybe your fate would be even worse if that day you did not enter the portal, Jian. Now that I'm relieved, you're fine, because you're indeed very strong."
Neo's smile grew thin, he stared at Jian's beautiful face. It was also the first time for him to stare at Jian from this close distance.
"You are so beautiful, Jian. All this time, I just realized it," Neo chuckled softly, "I feel lucky to be your only male best friend."
"Today, I have a lot of things I have to hide from you, Jian. Until anytime, you can't find out. Especially Rui. Ah, he's so scared. If you and Rui find out, I can't imagine what you'll do after knowing that."
Neo sighed softly. Suddenly he remembered all their travels since they had just arrived in Pubu City.
Before venturing out together, Neo hardly ever expected that he would be friends with one of the strangest female students in his class.
Never mind just being friends, Neo never expected the relationship of the two to be so developed in the midst of this very absurd situation.
Ever since keeping the secret alone, Neo had always tried to consider himself lucky enough to have had friends as good as Jian and Rui.
If thought about, where else could he test whether a friend was sincere or not other than on this trip.
Neo always tries not to regret what he has chosen. Neo is always trying to make every choice profitable for his friends.
Because for him, there should not be no Jian and Rui in his world. Neo only needed those two people to accompany him at all times.
"Jian, you've been asleep for a long time. Aren't you tired?" Neo chimes again.
"Today Rui went with Zhu to the top of the Eternal Ice Mountain again, Jian. They are there to return the Candle of Eternity that you have taken. He said, The hourglass can also be returned to its place. But I forbid them to go to Dixia Academy without you, Jian. I know you want to thank Win, Yets and Bim directly. So I asked them not to return it until you wake up."
Neo was silent for a moment, then he laughed so crisply, "The thing is, I've missed Win so much. I want to tell him immediately how I killed Ruu twice. So, can you get up soon, Jian? So that we can quickly go to Dixia Academy together. How's it?"
The atmosphere in the room was quiet again. Neo snorted, "You're so arrogant, don't listen to me talk so long."
Neo stood up, "I go first, Jian. I'm hungry." Neo stepped his foot out of the room.
A few minutes after Neo left, Zhi came to enter Jian's room to check on him again. This examination of healing energy is carried out periodically.
Zhi smiled broadly, "Thank God, Jian. You're getting better."
...----------------...
At the peak of the Eternal Ice Mountain, Zhu easily made a portal to enter the cave that was previously filled with a gigantic labyrinth.
"I didn't know you could open the portal directly to this place, Zhu. Last time, we relied on the map you provided," Rui smiled widely.
"That map was made by my ancestors in the Cursed Village. Of course I know. The lesson of this Guardian of Heirloom teleportation portal, was taught by generations. Zhi and I were chosen by the villagers as the third generation."
"For so long, you're the third generation?" Rui asked in wonder. Hasn't it been thousands of years?
Zhu chuckled, "I and Zhi are very old, Rui. We are a thousand years older. Already this old, these heirlooms are even older than us."
Rui was interested in this discussion, "What about the ghosts in Dixia Academy?"
Zhu nodded, "They are just as old as us. Even more know than us. They were magical beasts that placed his soul within the body of his dead master. They live relying on their individual soul bottles that store their true forms. That's why they're called Ghosts."
Rui nodded in understanding, they flew low around the vastness of this cave. The former battle had long been snowed.
"I can imagine it, Rui." Zhu suddenly cursed.
"Imagine what?"
Rui smiled happily, "Actually, Zhu, if it wasn't for me and Neo fighting, maybe the portal wouldn't have opened."
"Arrangled?" Zhu was sitting on the snow, his body slightly glowing, he asked wonder why Rui and Neo could get into a fight.
"Eh, we fight almost every day actually. But the quarrel that day, was really a different quarrel than usual. But because of the intense quarrel it was also the portal became open," Rui chuckled, "After that the storm came, and after the storm subsided, the portal opened. The three of us entered the portal. And it shows up in that labyrinth."
"I heard that the labyrinth has a lot of ferocious beasts in it, is it true?"
Rui nodded, "First in, we were even greeted by a polar bear that could not be hurt. After that we passed the wolf, a deer that ran very fast, a herd of crocodiles, fierce dogs, and some other obstacles."
Zhu sighed, "If you think about it, your journey in search of the Candle of Eternity is very risky. Why not just back off and ask for our help?"
Rui shook her head firmly, "Can't, Zhu. We have to go through it ourselves. After all, traveling that far, there was no time to retreat for a while. Even without retreating, we still managed to get through it. And met the greatest danger at the end of our journey. We should have been more careful." Rui smiled faintly. Recalling the sudden appearance of Rux had the three of them in a huge accident.
Zhu patted Rui on the shoulder, "It's okay, Rui. We will help you in any way. You helped me concentrate the energy inside the cave," Zhu placed his hand on the snow bed, he had just inserted an Eternity Candle into the bottom of the cave. The light all over his body was centered under his palm that touched the snow.
Rui followed him, sticking her palm over the snow bed.
The absorbed energy somehow made all the snow that had accumulated in this cave melt away. It then freezes into blocks of ice that form a particular pattern.
The newly formed labyrinth. The beasts that had previously disappeared again appeared.
"The "candle of Eternity has returned to its place. We can get out now, Rui." Zhu smiled with satisfaction.
"Do you think Jian is awake, Zhu?" Rui asked origin.
Zhu shrugged, "We'll know when we get home later."
...----------------...
They arrived home just after sunset. Rui entered the house feeling happy. They hunted some snow rabbits.
"Neo! Can you take care of these rabbits? I'm hungry!" Rui shouted as she entered the house.
Zhu let out a big laugh, "For so long living in my house, it has been able to shout at will."
Rui suddenly stopped yelling at Neo, he stood staring at the door of the house. No more screaming.
"What's up, Rui?" Zhu asked why Rui suddenly fell silent like that.
"Dian, I missed you!" Rui ran while throwing the rabbits that she had caught so hard.
He immediately hugged Jian who was sitting in a wheelchair.
"When did you wake up, Jian? Why didn't anyone tell me?" Rui cried, still hugging Jian tightly.
"I woke up a few hours ago. Being bored, I asked Zhi and Neo for help to take me around." Jian smiled widely.
"How are you, Jian? Are there any parts of your body that feel uncomfortable?" Zhu smiled as he held the rabbits that Rui had just thrown.
"I'm fine, Zhu. Thank you so much for taking care of me."
"Jian, where are Zhi and Neo?" Rui looked inside the house, not finding the two people.
"They're cooking in the kitchen, asking me to wait here for a while. He said Rui and Zhu will be here any minute. And you guys really came sooner than I thought." Jian chuckled.
"You go to the room again, Jian, your rest is not enough." Rui pushed the wheelchair, about to bring Jian back to the room.
"Eh, Rui! I'm tired of sleeping in my room. Now just wanting to chat with you alone," Jian grinned wide.
Rui laughed as she hugged him again, "You really are fine, Jian!"
