The next morning, Rui woke Jian who was still fast asleep. "Jian, it's six in the morning! You should shower immediately and change your clothes with magic school uniforms!"
Jian shuffled to sit. Rubbing her reluctant eyes open, "What time is it, Rui?"
"It's six in the morning, Jian. You should shower immediately. Look, there's a hostel chef delivering us breakfast!" Rui pointed to a table and chair that suddenly appeared in her room a few minutes ago.
"Breakfast? I thought we were going to have breakfast at school with the other students," Jian stared at the delicious dishes on the table.
"Say, it only applies to dinner and lunch. Breakfast is always delivered to each student's room. Take a shower, or we'll be late."
"Rui, you seem excited," Jian looked at his friend who was already wearing a magician uniform.
"You know, Jian. This is more amazing than what you see in the comics!"
They walked down the empty corridor. Jian and Rui had already seen the disciples of the Hudie Academy gathered on the academy grounds.
"Where do you think Neo's room is, huh?" Rui asked Jian. Look at every door they pass. All the doors were closed, he could not see inside through the glass window.
"Neo must be sleeping, Rui. You know for yourself he's never been interested in magic school. He used to make fun of me about the comics I read."
"But since arriving here, I guess Neo's starting to like it. You saw it too, right? He spoke more as if he was becoming interested in this world," Rui denied it.
Jian nodded his head, "So, he doesn't even want to go home."
The two laughed as they walked through the corridor, "Did it leave him sinful, Jian? He's gonna be late, right?"
Jian waved, "Leave it alone, after all the punishment will not be heavy. He used to be late at school, right?"
They decided not to approach Neo who they thought was still in the room. Arriving at the academy grounds, Jian and Rui looked for a suitable place for them to stand.
It seemed that these magician children did not like newcomers, their faces were sinister for Jian and Rui.
"Where should we stand, Jian?" Rui elbowed Jian's arm with a scared face.
"Dian, Rui!" someone exclaimed.
"Jian, there can't be anyone who knows us, right?" Rui's panicking.
Jian chuckled, "That's Neo's voice, Rui. Let's join him." Jian who saw Neo waving his hands far in front of him decided to join Neo.
"Hey, I can't believe you're awake," Jian smacked Neo's stomach.
"Hi, Neo's friend!" the two witches next to Neo greeted.
"Eh, is he greeting us?" Rui nudged Jian's arm, "What did they say?"
Neo put a device in Jian and Rui's ears, "I forgot this, guys. Queen Hudie gave this last night, asking me to give it to you as well in order to communicate with the other disciples. But I forgot," explained Neo, scratching his nape.
"It could really get us to communicate with them?" Rui whispered to Jian.
"My name is Tomu, I'm a first-class witch, just like you guys. So, we're just friends!" Tomu stuck out his hand.
"I'm Sue," the short-haired girl beside him reached out.
"So we're all in first class, huh?" Jian asked.
"All the disciples gathered in the field were new students," Sue helped reply, "Whose name are you, Neo's friend?"
"Eh, we're not Neo's Friends, my name is Rui, he's Jian," Rui shook his head loudly as Sue called him Neo's Friend.
"So they're not your friends, Neo?" Tomu looked at Neo.
"We just happened to know each other. Even though two years of living in the same class, they weren't really my friends. Just a classmate." Neo justifies the word Rui.
"Neo, how can you go without us?” Jian objected to seeing Neo already had a friend.
"Aren't you also intending to leave him, Jian?" Rui whispered, Jian told him to shut his mouth.
"Eh, I couldn't sleep all night because I couldn't wait. I went around and watched the High-class Magicians practice the night. Then I met Queen Hudie and she gave me the device. He said it would be good if we could be friends with the other students. It doesn't look too weird." Neo told Jian and Rui, "I then looked for a disciple with an identity who had a white color like ours, it just so happened that they were passing by me, so we were friends."
"Then why didn't you take us?!" Jian and Rui exclaimed simultaneously.
Neo held his breath, "Eh, I thought you guys were sleeping because Jian scolded me when I visited your room" Neo immediately looked for an excuse to keep Jian and Rui from scolding him.
The two chose not to talk to Neo anymore. It was too annoying, Jian more often scolded Neo because of his random behavior, Rui more often asked and got a stupid call from Neo. Really depressed.
Neo pulled out a pen and a small journal book. It was the book he had previously taken out while still at the edge of the yellow blob forest.
"You want something else?" Jian looked at him lazily.
"Otherwise? Of course, I recorded my agenda. Today is my first day of magic school. It's fun, if only my phone was alive, I would have photographed everything in this school and uploaded it on my social media account. I must be famous in the near future." Neo laughed a little. "This journal will be useful."
Jian rolled his eyeballs, "This kid never acts normal."
"Master is here!"
Jian and Rui fixed his line, Neo stood in front of them, busy stuffing the small book and pen into the pocket.
"The clothes will also be expensive if sold in our city, Rui," Neo suddenly turned around back and whispered to Rui.
"really?" surprisingly, Rui served the origin of the speech.
"Yes, Neo. We could be rich, carrying one pair of uniforms wouldn't be considered stealing, would it?" Rui asked innocently.
Neo chuckled lightly at her, "Maybe it won't."
The plot!
Jian pointed at Neo's head, "Can you shut up? My Rui can't just be you jahili!"
"Huh? You're rainbow guys, huh?" Neo showed his made-up surprised face. Jian glared and shook his head firmly to answer Neo's strange question.
Up ahead, Queen Hudie was already standing while holding a long stick.
"Take out your witch's identity card."
Jian, Rui and Neo took it out of his pocket and raised it up high. But the other disciples took it out using magic, and floated above their heads by themselves.
Jian, Rui and Neo held their breaths, "Can we do it too?" Rui whispered to Jian.
"Our goal here is to learn magic, Rui. They do it easily because it comes from the descendants of witches, whereas we are just ordinary humans, having to learn from scratch." Neo happily explained it.
Jian clucked, "There's no need to trust his sentence too much."
"Jian, you can do it now, too" Sue said, "Once we have our names on the magician's identity card, we can use basic magic to bring up the little things we already have a bond with." Sue was even more kind to explain.
"really?"
Sue nodded, "Try it. Put your card back in your pocket, then concentrate, snap your finger, it'll show itself."
Jian started to concentrate, then flicked his finger, an identity card actually appearing in front of him. Jian exclaimed happily, immediately asking Rui to give it a try as well, "Look, Neo's words aren't entirely true!"
...----------------...
Already learning the basic magic to bring up and eliminate bound objects, Master Hudie handed out each one stick to one student.
This wand was not like the magic wand Jian saw in the comics. The stick was long and heavy. There are many beautiful carvings at each end. Jian exclaimed in amazement as soon as he held his magic wand.
"Give a name for your magic wand. It's not just magic level, it will help you fly, help you fight the beasts, help you heal wounds. In order for him to bond with you, give him a name that you can easily pronounce." The directions from Master Hudie had already sounded in Jian, Rui and Neo's ears.
"I'll name my wand Jilly!" Jian exclaimed happily, hugging the staff happily.
Jilly suddenly glowed brightly, Jian reflexively took it off and put on a surprised face. Seeing that, Master chuckled, "Jian managed to have a bond with his staff, a good name, Jian!"
Jian was delighted to receive praise on his first day of school. The world is not as scary as Neo thought.
"What's your scepter name, Rui?" Neo asked.
"Hm .. name of my wand, Riu." Rui replied short, Rui's wand following the glow. The master is happy for them.
"If my scepter name ... Juju!" Neo exclaimed with confidence.
Almost all the disciples laughed at the name. Jian and Rui could no longer hold back their laughter, "Sorry, Neo. We can't be polite in front of you! That name is so bad!"
Neo scowled and ignored Rui's sentence. "The wand is mine, so the name is up to me!"
Neo's wand didn't give off light, but Neo threw it and said he had just been hit by a big electrical voltage.
"Neo's wand disliked the name, so he refused by stinging his master with a large electric. You should try it again, Neo, give me a name that your stick can like." The master explained while holding back a laugh.
Neo put on an annoyed face, "So you don't like my given name, Juju?" Neo approached, picked it up again and threw it again.
"Damn! He electrocuted me twice?" Neo glared in annoyance.
"I have to get you!"
"Eh, Neo. You better not hurt your stick, he won't get along with you. Better get a new name." Tomu patted Neo on the shoulder and tried to raise his heart.
"Well, I'll give you a new name. But if you still don't like it, I'll sell you!"
Everyone waited for Neo to give a name for his wand.
"How about Piu Piu?" Neo raised his hands high.
People are silent, it's not as bad as the first. But Neo is a man, why name a magic wand with a feminine-sounding name?
Ddrrr!
"God! You still don't like it?" Neo throws his wand a third time.
"It looks like you're bad at naming, Neo." Master finally could not hold back his laughter anymore, "In my opinion, he would be a perfect match if called Pru.
Neo scolded, "What name is that? It's bad" he disagreed.
But Neo's wand immediately stood upright and glowed very brightly. All the disciples laughed at him, "Master is indeed very good at giving names to weapons! Don't doubt it, Neo." Sue gave her advice.
"Alright, Pru! Getting close!" Neo exclaimed firmly.
Pru instantly approached his master, his light slowly dimming, and not electrocuting Neo anymore. Jian and Rui heaved a sigh of relief.
"Neo's wand looks grumpy."
