Journey In A Fantasy World

Journey In A Fantasy World
The Peaceful Pubu City

The next day, Win immediately invited us to witness the process of creating a self-contained seal for the Magic Sand Clock.

He said the intact and powerful seal for the Magic Sand Clock could only be made using the energy of the lunar eclipse.

But that eclipse happened months ago. Even we ourselves made the seal break while it was being updated.

We're not. Sorry, I forgot. It was the Rux. But still, we're involved, right?

So today, Win specifically asked Zhu and Zhi for help to absorb the moon energy to strengthen this self-sustaining seal formation. At least if it enveloped him with moon energy, the seal would only need to be renewed once every half a year. Without the moon's energy, Win said it might take every month to renew.

Our arrival has really made it difficult for them. We have to help contribute energy to them as an apology and thanks.

After the creation of this new seal was completed, Win immediately brought us together again. This time it's not to entertain us.

Instead of talking about important things related to our departure back to our home world. This meeting between the Door Guards seemed to be quite serious. My friends and I did not dare to speak, only to hear their opinions.

"We have to make a plan in case something unwanted happens," Win stared at the meeting participants one by one.

"Anyway, this is the first time we've taken that crystal out of its place. It is not a good thing" Yets chimed in.

Zhu nodded, "Fearless, there are irresponsible hands trying to seize it as we look for time to activate its great energy."

"What if our worries are right?" Zhi also made a sound.

Win nodded as well, "Fearnestly, escorting these children to enter the portal is not as easy as we thought."

Hearing this conversation of theirs, it seemed like this was not an easy matter. Then we really had them in trouble for having to bear the burden for as long as we were in Pubu City.

Me and my friends stared at each other, whether to talk, or really just listen to them talk. They just shrugged, choosing to listen to what these Doorkeepers were talking about.

"We should not worry too much first, make these children afraid, it makes our journey even harder. Come, drink the tea," Win poured more tea in the small cups in front of us.

"Win, if I may argue, I have a perfect way to solve our problem. Are you ready to hear it?" Neo started to make a sound after finishing the third cup of tea.

The Door Guards nodded, willing to listen to Neo speak.

"Although this is too risky, but it should be worth a try, Win."

...----------------...

Before escorting us to Hudie Academy, Win took us to the city center for a bit. He said, would be very sorry if you go without buying souvenirs typical of Pubu City.

Although our journey later is through a different dimension, it also does not mean we are not allowed to choose souvenirs to take home.

Hearing Win's plan that was taking us to Downtown, Rui was a little anxious, he said it wouldn't be inappropriate if we wandered around Pubu City on the second day before heading home?

"Don't worry, Rui. It's a priceless experience, you're strolling downtown with these legendary Door Guardians, it's certainly a lucky thing to make memories." Win smiled as he patted Rui's shoulder.

"The legendary "Guardian of the Door? Are you guys like that?" Neo asked curiously.

The five of them were silent for a moment, as for Zhi instead immediately laughed out loud, unable to hold it in anymore. Zhu immediately rebuked him for silence.

"What's wrong?" Neo stared with an innocent face, making them unable to hold back any more laughter.

"Neo, our age is five thousand years. The other citizens of Pubu City, were lower level magicians who were only less than five hundred years old. Of course they consider us to be legendary ancestors. Even only one in ten residents of Pubu City knew of our whereabouts. You're lucky." Win explained it proudly.

Neo immediately waved no matter, "Don't talk about luck, Win. We're still unlucky as long as we haven't crossed that dimensional portal," he snorted.

Win laughed loudly, "Alright. Something honorable can get you back home." Win chose to give in, showing us a polite attitude.

I smiled, however, knowing that this vast world was certainly a fortune to us.

"I want to see that shoe store, Win. Can we come by for a minute?" Rui pointed forward.

The three of us were allowed to go around as much as possible, and told us to regroup in front of the inn before dark, tomorrow we would have to go back to Hudie Academy.

We can play as we like, to any place we want to go. Behind this Neo always brings up the entertainment industry in the world of magic.

So we were looking for a shopping mall that might have a cinema. Could there be a movie theater in the world?

"It's like a brothel—"

"Don't say, Neo!" Rui instantly shut her mouth before Neo said more.

"It seems, this world hasn't changed since thousands of years ago. When the earth is competing to create the best entertainment industry, here it is still like old times. Just relying on a few small machines to support the citizens who do not have high magic abilities." Neo sighed in concern.

"I think living like this is better, Neo." I chuckled, staring at the buildings of houses that were so unique, the streets were clean, the air was fresh, and the citizens were friendly.

Neo nodded, "Could time be slower here than on our earth, Jian?"

I paused for a moment, what other theory is this? Why did he suddenly ask me something I couldn't answer correctly?

Neo smiled broadly, "I'm not forcing you to answer him, Jian. Silence is okay, too."

I snorted in annoyance, this guy really wants to piss me off, huh?

"If it's a matter of time difference, it seems impossible. Our location is not necessarily far from the sun, right? Every day the sun rises so warm. So the most reasonable thing was ...," Neo hung up his lines, looked at us one by one, just curious.

"What, Neo?" Rui asked impatiently.

"We're really moving into the past."

Rui and I looked at each other, "I mean?"

"Yes. We arrived at Pubu City in more ancient times." Neo nodded steadily.

"Cannot be. Their age is very old. There's no way we're still in the past!" Rui laughed while denying it.

Neo laughed back at him, "You don't get too serious, Rui. I'll just say what I think is possible."

"What's possible?" Rui still could not accept Neo's thought.

"Yes it might be. Although they were already five thousand years old, the age of the Earth was much older. Millions of years older!"

Rui threw her face away, starting to feel uncomfortable with the boy's bullshit. We decided to walk ahead of him to the shoe store up ahead.

We picked some good shoes. But have not found a suitable one to buy and wear.

"This is all." Rui picked up a pair of jet black shoes that looked elegant. The shoes she chose could be worn by anyone.

"Why don't you just choose women's shoes, Rui?" my many.

"For Neo to have it too."

Neo and I looked at each other, still not understanding what Rui meant to bring us to buy shoes in this store.

"Dians. Neo's. We've been through life together. We go down the same path, have the same goal. If we have the same pair of shoes, then we really only have to go hand in hand with each other. Can't go too far apart. Remember, right?" Rui grabbed both of our shoulders.

Hearing this, it made me so moved. Rui is my best friend, the worst, the weakest, and the strongest. He became what he is now, apart from being forced into a situation, also because of our presence protecting each other with him.

Neo and I nodded, immediately wearing the shoes chosen by Rui. I'll always wear these cool shoes.

We laughed loudly as we stepped together on the quiet streets of Pubu City. Our move sounded more resolute after putting on the new shoes. I have never been as happy as I am now. With my friends, no matter the threat anymore. The way home is in sight.

"Murid Jian, Disciple Rui, Disciple Neo. How are you doing? We specifically got an assignment to pick you up back at the Academy. Please follow us."

Two guards in the uniform of Hudie Academy appeared behind us. Neo refused and said we were still waiting for a friend.

But they did not want to leave, but forced us to come with them.

"Master's orders, we can't delay."

"Then can you come with us to pick up our friend?" Rui asked gently.

"You go first with us, your friend's business, we'll take care of it once you get to the Academy safely."

I looked at my two friends in turn. What's the matter? Isn't that not according to the previous rules?
