Journey In A Fantasy World

Journey In A Fantasy World
Win Refuse

Rui and I have arrived at the front gate. We saw the three beautiful men laughing. They must have something funny being talked about.

"Hi, Win, Yes, Bim!" I greeted with a bright face.

"Hi! You guys enjoying the banquet?" Win waved his hand, sliding his butt so we could have a seat.

"Rui, sit down," I asked Rui to sit beside Win, she must be very happy, just look at her red face. I smiled holding back the laughter.

"What do you need?" Win asked Rui who was now sitting next to him.

Rui fluttered to the point of almost choking on her own saliva, "Eh, that, Jian asked me to accompany her, so I didn't know what she needed."

I patted him on the forehead, why is he so bad? I gave him a chance, why did he just miss it?

"Well, Win, I actually have something big enough to need your help. But can you keep this a secret? I'll tell you something that you guys can't believe" I sighed, hoping Win would agree to it and believe my story, that we came from another world.

"What's that?" Win asked enthusiastically.

"Actually we had a certain purpose to come to this place, Win." I started my story, "That we are from another world, we are lost and want to go home, and that we are lost, Queen Hudie said we had to find three heirlooms to find our way home. One of them is your heirloom," I bowed deeply.

Win stared at each other with two other friends. They definitely don't believe my words at all. Anyway, that still sounds absurd.

"It seems a little difficult, my friend," Yets replied, The tall man has a flat face. I doubt he'll give us that heirloom.

I lowered my head, really unable to expect anything more, we had to find another way for them to allow us to borrow Dixia Academy's heirloom items.

Rui looked desperate, she gently touched Win's hand, "Win, I beg you to let us borrow it for a while, we need the thing to go home. I, I've missed my parents so much ...," Rui held back her tears.

I feel that sad, the three of us are teenagers lost in another world, we have family at home, can't keep wandering around Pubu City forever.

"I've heard of dimensional passers before, so you don't have to keep that a secret" Win said softly, "To be honest if I can tell you a bit, my master is a dimensional passer. He said he came from a world far different from Pubu City," Win told me.

"Your master is a dimensional passer like us?" Rui momentarily forgot our miserable fate.

"My master's name is Xing Xing. He arrived at Pubu City about a thousand years ago, he was not surprised to meet this strange world, he said his country is not much different from Pubu City, they also have expertise in magic, they are, most of them used swords as weapons. When he came here, he immediately mastered the technique of summoning a magic entity, I became his spiritual beast for hundreds of years until he finally died," Win said.

"Win, didn't your master return to his world?" hearing Win's story, it seemed that Xing Xing came to Pubu City during the Chinese imperial period, judging by his name and world setting, similar to the colossal Chinese comics I often read during the empty lesson hours.

"Unfortunately, my master is too consumed with obsession. He couldn't collect three heirlooms. He had almost died three times trying to collect three heirlooms for the sake of returning home, but he ended up dying in this place," Win lowered his head.

"So, Win, are you worried that our fate will be like your master?" Rui who seemed to understand the meaning of the story Win finally decided to ask.

"True" Yets replied, "Taking three heirlooms out of their place is no easy feat. Must have a sincere heart and great sacrifice. The human heart is always full of obsession and hate. I can't help you if you keep forcing your loan," This is the first time I've heard the Yets speak so much.

Maybe the Yets are right, every human being always has regrets in his heart, those regrets cause hatred, and every human being always has an obsession with something. When we were desperate not to go home, we could have walked alone for the sake of that obsession. Oh my God, what should we do?

"Dian, Rui. Not that I doubt your sincerity, I've seen it firsthand, Neo falls among the fox herd to save Rui. Jian risked his life against Bim alone for the sake of his two friends. The three of you help and protect each other while fighting against us in front of the gate, we know your heart sincerely protects each other. But we can't let you do it." Win looked at us one by one.

"Why, Win?" Rui asked with dewy beads, she would definitely want to cry alone if we really can't go home.

"We cannot let you be wretched" said Yets with his flat face.

"For thousands of years, there have been many dimensional passers-by recorded in the history of the city. And none of them managed to collect three heirlooms. I don't want you to join the passers of that dimension," Win explained the intent of Yets.

Rui and I looked at each other, "Why should it be like this?"

"Win, can you allow us just once? We promise not to abuse it, we just want to find our way home. Can you just let it go?" Rui lowered her head again, her sentence was now trembling due to a deep feeling of sadness.

The three of them looked at each other, like discussing something heavy. This is not easy. Neo was wrong to guess that this meeting would go smoothly, we even had to beg in tears for Win and Yets to show his compassion.

"Well, guys," Win smiled broadly, "We'll help you get our magic heirloom," followed by a big smile of Yets and Bim.

Rui and I immediately rounded their eyes so happy, "Is it really?"

"Of course, but I have to gather all my friends first, since the heirloom belongs to the entire Dixia Academy, we have to ask everyone's opinion, do you mind? Take it easy, if anyone disagrees, we will persuade them" Win explained.

"Does that have to be?" Rui first objected before I nodded, "Isn't it hard to come to a mutual agreement? Moreover, there are countless people in Dixia Academy."

"It's okay, Rui. As long as we ask him politely, they will understand what we need," I smiled holding onto Rui's shoulder.

"Jian, but I'm afraid we really can't go home," Rui lowered her head.

That was when, Win immediately grabbed onto his shoulder, "Don't worry, Rui, I will help you at any cost. I know what it's like to live away from your parents, you're still a dozen-year-old, of course this thing that you're going through is very hard for you.

"You guys come to the hall this afternoon, huh? I'll gather my other friends."

We went back to our room, Neo came in and joined us, asking how the outcome of the meeting was.

"At the beginning it was a little complicated. Hardly worked. But eventually they agreed to it, but had to come to a mutual agreement from all the ghosts inhabiting Dixia Academy," I sighed.

Neo was silent for a long time, "Good. It's easier than I imagined. I thought you guys should be her errand boy first, or be a free cook, I did another heavy job first as a payday for—"

"What are you talking about? And who let you in? Go there! We are tired of wanting to rest," Rui cut off Neo's chatter, driving him away in a tart tone.

"Why is this?" Neo frowned at me. I just shrugged my shoulders. Rui is still as sensitive as possible.

...----------------...

The afternoon finally arrived. All the ghosts gathered in the Great Hall. Win stood on stage to convey that to the others.

"So, guys. I'm planning to bring out the Magic Sand Clock to help our guests. They needed it to be combined with the other heirlooms that were on the Ice Mountain of Eternity. Can you agree to my plan?" Win asked with a steady-sounding tone of speech.

"So, are they dimensional passersby?" Rux asked a question.

Win nodded, "They accidentally found a portal into our world, friends. They're lost and want to go home."

"Then do you remember what happened to your master, Win? You're going to let those kids go through a long, deadly journey to collect those things?" June spoke seriously to Win.

"I know, June. But they really need it. I just want to help you once. They might have a great chance to come back home," Win defended us.

"What if they abuse it? I don't agree!" another ghost exclaimed furiously.

"Yes! We disagree!" others chimed in.

How'this? I had expected this wouldn't be easy. They don't know us as closely as Win, Yets and Bim. They must think badly of us.

"What if they can't keep the Magic Sand Clock well, Win? Even if they are just innocent children, can we trust those important things to them? What if it's gone? Or worse, what if it falls into the hands of a bad person?" Paw added.

"Sorry, Win, instead of us not caring about those kids, we just feel wary. You also understand how scared we feel every night of a lunar eclipse. We can't hand over an heirloom object as easily as you planned," Kie nodded Paw's explanation.

Finally, none of the Dixia Academy's ghosts approved of Win's plan and his two friends.

Alright. I exhaled a long breath. We have to think of other ways to earn the ghosts' trust.

Win sighed disappointedly, "I'm sorry, Jian. It's hard to make people believe what I say. But I understand them. It's not easy to gain the trust of others in this situation."

I smiled, trying to brace myself, "It's okay, Win. I also understand. In that case, we'll go back to our room," I shuffled, pulling Neo's arm that still didn't accept the outcome of this meeting.

"But, Win. Remember, we will not give up, we will try to gain everyone's trust so that we can borrow that thing from you. I know, rich people always get everything they want because of money. But we will get what we need because of the hard work. Don't forget that, Win!" Neo exclaimed as he stared intently at Win who was still showing his guilty feelings.

In my room and Rui, Neo kept grumbling that the ghosts had no conscience, "Maybe they don't feel sorry for these lost little children. After all, we only borrow, when we are no longer needed, we will return it, right? Why should they object so much?"

"Already, Neo. You said it yourself, we have to work hard. We just need to stay a few more days, make some approaches. They might change their minds," Rui tried to calm Neo down.

"I thought they had a bad memory of a dimensional passer. They call us that, right? It's actually about their tenderness. They don't want things that happen to other dimensional passers-by to befall us either. It is also about how they carry out their obligatory duty in guarding the heirloom. We can't force, we can only wait for the right time" I exhaled softly.

"But, Jian. If not tonight, when will we do it? Lunar eclipses are not natural events that occur every day. Even in this world in the middle of nowhere, the sky above was still the same. We don't have much time!" Neo denied.

"I know, Neo. Just think about it first. The most important thing at the moment is to gain their trust, if it's fulfilled, then we figure out how to unlock the new seal without waiting for the next lunar eclipse," I stared at him sharply, looking at him, can he think straight once?

"If you want to hurry, why don't we just steal the heirloom?" Neo suddenly thought of such a bad idea.

Rui directly poked her head, "That's no good! We have to earn their trust, why are you even thinking of stealing it? Lucky if we succeed, what if we fail? There's not gonna be a next chance for us!" Rui got so angry.

"You lost, Neo. Rui and I don't agree with your stupid idea! You better never talk about stealing again."

Neo didn't say anything and just walked out of our room. I don't know. I feel dizzy. I just hope Neo doesn't continue his thoughts about stealing heirlooms.

Hey, isn't he a Chosen Single Disciple? He should be able to think that stealing is not justified.

...----------------...

The night of the lunar eclipse, whether or not I can still trust Neo again...

The heirloom was completely gone from its place, and everyone accused us of it.
