"Why are you sitting here by yourself?" Wild approached Claire who was sitting in a floating restaurant on the edge of the river while looking pensively.
Claire looked over and smiled. "May I sit here?" wild asked as he directed his gaze towards the seat in front of him.
"This restaurant isn't mine, you're free to sit anywhere."
Wild smile. "You following me?" claire asked after Wild sat down before her.
"No. I did plan to come here and accidentally saw you sitting alone."
The restaurant was one of the places they frequented every time they went to the city of L. The restaurant left many memories for both of them. "Wild, I met Gloria last night" Claire said in a low voice.
"I know."
"You see us both?" claire asked with a surprised face.
"Yeah, after that I'm gone."
Wild took out a pack of cigarettes from his pants pocket and took out one stick and burned it. Before Wild could smoke the cigarette, Claire first took it and then turned it off.
"When do you smoke?" ask Claire quickly.
"Not long." Wild turned his gaze to the side to avoid Claire's sharp gaze on him.
"Wild, I know you don't like cigarette smoke. Why do you suddenly smoke?"
"After you left, my life ruined Claire. I wanted to take it out on alcohol, but when I remembered that you hated that drink, I broke my intention and tried everything else. Many say, smoking can relieve stress. At first, I just wanted to prove the truth, but strangely, I didn't feel anything when I tried it. My memory is always on you every time I suck it."
Wild smiled, then the look on his face turned sad. "After your departure, I lost Claire's direction. I don't know what my life purpose is anymore. You don't know how ruined my life was when you found out you were married to another man."
Claire's chest was painful to see the sadness on the face of her ex-lover. "Wild, I'm sorry. I didn't know that ...."
Wild immediately turned to Claire when she heard her voice tremble. "It's not your fault, Claire. Don't apologize to me." Wild tried to smile so Claire wouldn't feel guilty anymore.
"Wild, I'll be home tomorrow. I hope you return to City A after this. Don't look for me anymore. Your parents must be worried about you."
Wild was silent while staring down like he was thinking and after a while Wild raised his head. "Claire, if your husband betrayed you, what would you do?" wild asked as she looked towards Claire with a serious face.
Claire played her fingers while thinking for a while. "I don't know," Claire replied in a soft voice.
"Come back to me, Claire. Marry me. If our parents don't approve of our relationship. Let's leave the country. We can go to far away places, where, no one knows us. I'd be willing to leave everything for you. We start from the bottom again. As long as I can live with you, I'm willing to do anything for you."
"Wild, I really can't go back to you, even if I part with my husband. I'm not the old Claire anymore. You can get a better woman than me. I don't deserve you. Please understand, Wild," Claire said with a frustrated face.
"Nobody deserves me better than you, Claire. I won't force you now. You can think about it again. Your husband, don't trust him too much."
Wild is very different from Sean. Wild cares about her a lot, unlike Sean. Wild is willing to do anything for her, but Sean, he's always been cold to her. Remembering that, there was sadness in his heart.
"Wild, I don't want to think about anything complicated. Because tomorrow I'm going back to S town, how about tonight take a walk. As friends, just friends, how?" Claire asked with a smile.
Seeing the expression on Wild's face that had looked sad, Claire felt a little guilty. That's why he wanted to comfort her for a moment.
"alright. Doesn't matter. Friends aren't bad for me either."
Wild then stood up and asked Claire to get out of the restaurant. He took Claire on foot through the crowded streets filled with many people. The river located in the middle of the city is indeed one of the famous tourist destinations in the city.
"Where do you want to go?" wild asked as she continued walking side by side with Claire.
"I'd love to try the food at the end of the road. I haven't enjoyed this town's food in a long time."
"alright. Tonight, I'll treat you. You're free to eat whatever you want."
"really?" Claire seemed very enthusiastic after hearing Wild say, "are you sure?" asked Claire with a big smile.
"Yes. I'll buy you anything you want" Wild replied.
Seeing Claire look happy, Wild felt happy. "Remove it, I don't mind."
As Claire was about to step up, Wild stood before her. "The wind is very strong. Wear this." Wild took off his jacket and then draped it over Claire's body, "I don't want you to get sick." Finished putting the jacket on Claire's body, Wild walked first.
"Hurry up or I'll change my mind later" Wild said, looking at Claire, who was still in her place.
"Yes." Yeah." Claire caught up with Wild at a quick pace as she looked at her body further and further away.
They finally arrived at the culinary center that Claire meant. In that place a wide variety of food is sold at low prices and tastes also delicious. It was one of the places they used to visit as well.
"What do you want again?" ask Wild while following Claire's steps after buying some spicy snacks that are very in her tribe.
"Look at that, I want to try that?" Claire pointed to one of the typical L-city foods that Claire had never tried.
"But Claire, you used to say you didn't like it. You always refuse when I ask you to try."
"That was then, now I want to try it. Let's hurry." Claire walked over first leaving the Wild standing with an astonished face.
Finished buying the food she wanted, Claire returned to buy another meal. "Erin, you can get a stomachache later if you eat too much."
Wild felt worried when he saw Claire who had not stopped eating. There were so many meals that he bought, ranging from snacks to heavy.
"You're afraid your money's gone, aren't you?" Claire didn't care about Wild looking at her without blinking.
"Not that. You can vomit if you eat too much. Your stomach won't be able to hold all the food if you don't stop now."
Although Claire bought a lot of food, but she only ate it a little, after which she tried the others so she could still enjoy some more food.
Claire looks indifferent. "Wild, I want that. It's been a few days, I've been dying to eat that food, but no one's selling that food in S town." Claire again pointed to spicy food that is very liked by Claire.
"I'll buy you, but don't eat here. You can have a stomachache, Claire."
"You said you wanted to buy me anything I wanted." Claire showed her face to Wild.
"Alright, but don't blame me if your stomach hurts later." Wild finally gives up and complies with Claire's request.
After finishing browsing the culinary center and trying everything out, Claire stopped and decided to go home. "You why?" wild asked when she saw Claire holding her stomach earlier.
"My stomach doesn't taste good. As would ...."
Not even finishing her words, Claire immediately ran to the side of the road while covering her mouth and before long Claire crouched down and pulled out her entrails.
They were just about to go home when Claire complained that her stomach was not feeling well. "Don't I tell you. Don't eat too much. You can puke." Wild crouched down near Claire with an anxious and irritated face.
Claire is seen still trying to remove her entrails until she finally stopped after she removed all her entrails.
"Do you feel good?"
Claire picked up the tissue in her bag and wiped her mouth. "Yeah." Yeah."
Wild stood up. "You wait here. I'll be right back." Wild walked quickly and returned with the water running through the bottle. After unscrewing the bottle, Wild gave it to Claire. "Drink."
Claire picked up the bottle and drank it slowly. "I'll take you back to the hotel" Wild said after seeing Claure finish drinking.
Claire did not refuse because she felt weak and a little dizzy. Arriving at the hotel, Wild drove him to the hotel lobby. "Come in. Bring this." Bring it." Wild handed Claire 2 boxes of food. Before returning home, Wild had deliberately bought more food for Claire.
"Get some warm water after that refill your stomach."
Claire nodded. "Thank you."
Unbeknownst to them, someone photographed them secretly from a distance as Wild repaired Claire's jacket. When viewed from the point of view of the person it looks like Wild wants to hug Claire.
Seriate....
