"Claire, how dare you betray me. Don't you know that I'm ...."
Sean's face drew closer, Claire immediately closed her eyes. "I ...."
After that word, there was no sound of his voice. Her body had already collapsed on top of Claire.
"South." Claire finally opened her eyes while calling out her name when she felt Sean not move anymore.
Several times he called, but there was no response from Sean. Feeling claustrophobic, Claire throws her husband's body to the left until his body is freed from Sean.
Claire wakes up from her sleep and turns to Sean and sees that her eyes are closed. "Claire, how dare you ruin my life." Sean was back with his eyes closed.
"What's wrong with her? Why are you suddenly drunk?" After Sean stopped messing around, Claire looked at Sean's face for a moment then walked out of her room.
*******
Sean opened his eyes slowly. He swept his gaze across the room, figuring out where he was right now. After she found out that she was in her apartment room, she then woke up from her sleep.
Just as he was sitting on the edge of the bed, the door of his room had already been knocked from the outside. "You awake?" Sean looked towards the door that had just opened.
Sean only glanced at Claire, then massaged the temple because he felt dizzy. "I brought you some soup. Be eating. This will ease your hangover. There's medicine there too."
Claire placed a tray with a bowl and a glass of water on the nightstand. "Why am I here?" Sean finally opens his voice when he sees Claire leaving his room.
"Kenz brought you here" Claire replied, turning to Sean. "If you still feel dizzy. Better rest at home. Don't work yet."
Sean was silent. He tries to remember the events of last night, but all he remembers is drinking together with Nicko. Furthermore, he did not remember at all.
"Sean, sorry I can't take care of you. I have to go."
Sean immediately raised his head and asked Claire. "Where are you going?"
Claire turned to face Sean. "I have a job interview today. I can't stay here without working."
Sean just remembered that Claire would be interviewing at one of his subsidiaries. "Go."
"I'll go home right after I'm done. If you need anything, just call me."
Because Sean was silent, Claire finally stepped out. After the door closed, Sean grabbed his phone and contacted someone. "Have you cleared up last night?"
After hearing the answer from there, Sean spoke again. "good. Make sure there's no news of anything last night."
The man answered again and Sean said, "He's on his way there. Make sure he's Valery's secretary and not Felix's secretary."
After the call ended, Sean walked to the bathroom. Even though he still felt dizzy, but he still went to work.
*******
After the job interview, Claire went straight to her apartment. By the time he got there, Sean was already nowhere to be seen in his room. She actually felt anxious for him because she looked so pale this morning, but she didn't have the courage to contact Sean first.
That night, while eating dinner, Claire heard the door open. He frowned for a moment. In that apartment, other than Sean, no one knows the password or has the apartment access card. If anyone comes in, it means Sean's coming, but Sean's never slept in that apartment other than last night.
While he was busy with his thoughts, Sean walked in and looked at the dining table and turned to Claire. "Do you want to?" Claire offered Sean the instant noodles she had just made because she saw him staring at her bowl earlier.
Sean put his hands in his pockets and said, "Offering me a food that has a lot of preservatives like that, you want to make me die quickly?"
Claire, who was excited to eat instant noodles, suddenly became lost in taste when she heard Sean's words. He almost forgot that no good words came out of his mouth when he was talking to him.
"Then don't eat."
Claire lowered her head, brought the bowl closer and grabbed the chopsticks, intending to continue the delayed meal, but came back to a standstill when Sean pulled the chair in front of her.
Earlier, he wondered why Sean had suddenly returned to his apartment. As she sat in front of him, Claire was even more astonished. Normally, Sean had always avoided her and did not want to be in the same room with her, but today she was acting strangely. He came home to the apartment suddenly, even he was sitting in front of him willingly.
"My stomach hurts. I haven't eaten."
Claire looked up her head in surprise at Sean for a moment and said, "I'll order you some food. What do you want to eat?" Claire grabbed her phone and typed something.
With his indifferent face, Sean replied, "Make me food."
Claire raised her head again and met a glance with Sean. "I can't cook. After all, there's no food here."
Sean frowned. Claire's words were very strange. Usually, people from the lower classes are accustomed to cooking because they cannot buy food outside in order to save money. Supposedly, he could cook because he came from the lower classes, let alone he came from the village.
"Make whatever you can." As a result of drinking too much last night, Sean felt that his stomach was still not good and he was a little dizzy.
"There's nothing here, other than instant noodles."
As Sean was about to open his mouth again, his apartment bell rang. "Who?" claire asked with a surprised face.
Sean immediately stood up, it seemed like he knew who was coming night and night to his apartment. "Go to your room."
Sean then walked forward. Secretly, Claire opened a little of her bedroom door to hear the sound of people coming through the night.
"Why are you here?" Sean is shocked when he sees Helena coming to his apartment.
Helena did not answer immediately, but went straight into Sean's apartment and sat in the living room, while Sean seemed to not move from where he stood. He's still near the door. He seems reluctant to go from there.
Seeing Sean was just her while staring flatly at him, Helena then said, "I went to your house and met your mother. He said you were here."
"What am I saying you're here for without telling me first?"
Helena smiled sweetly at Sean. "I came here because I was worried about you. Your face was pale this morning. I'm afraid no one's taking care of you so I'm here to see how you're doing."
Sean walked towards the sofa and stood in front of Helena. "Go home. Don't ever come here again without telling me."
Seriate....
