After everyone sat in Claire's room, Sean's mother immediately opened her voice. "Now explain to mom, why are you in this hotel room with this guy? What's your relationship with him?"

Hearing that, Helena interrupted immediately. "Aunt Kate, she can't possibly admit to her affair with this man. He's gonna lie."

Sean's mother turned to Helena for a moment and said, "Helena, let Claire speak first. I want to hear from him."

Helena seems upset that Sean's mother still wants to give Claire a chance to explain everything. "Mother, I have nothing to do with him. Sean also knows who Jack really is. He's like my brother."

"Auntie, don't believe her words. He must be lying" Helena said.

"Claire, speech without strong evidence is just a figment of the thumb. Everyone can make up a story if they're in a state of urgency."

"Claire, let me explain. You just shut up." Jack could not remain silent any longer seeing Claire being cornered constantly.

"Mrs Kate, introduce, my name is Jack. I'm from town A and I work in Mr. Zeno's family. You must have heard that name, right? I guess that name is no stranger to you."

Sean's mother frowned when she heard Claire's father's name. "Mr Zeno, the owner of JK Group?" guess Sean's mom with a face on her face.

"Are you not?" Helena stared intently at Jack, but was ignored by him.

"In addition to Sean and his grandfather, who else knew?" ask Sean's mother again with her calm face.

"Felix," Claire replied quickly.

"So you're the girl Sean saved as a kid?"

Claire looked down with a guilty face. "Yeah, Mommy. I was that girl. I'm sorry I didn't tell Mom first so it made you misunderstand."

Sean's mother did not reply, but instead stood up and left Claire's room. "Feel that. You've cheated aunt Kate. He won't forgive you." Helena then goes after Sean's mother after saying that.

Before the door closed, Claire walked quickly and passed Helena just like that. "Mother, I'm sorry. I know I was wrong. You have every right to be mad at me, but please don't silence me" Claire said, grabbing Sean's mother's hand.

"Claire, I'm not mad at you. I'm just disappointed in you. I've looked at you like my own son, but you've kept something this big a secret from mom."

"Mother, I will not seek justification for this mistake of mine. I was wrong. Please punish me if I hurt you."

Lately, they have been very close and it makes Claire feel like she got a replacement for her mother after a long time away from her parents.

"Claire, go back to your room. I am tired and want to rest. We'll talk again tomorrow."

Claire finally no longer prevented the departure of her mother-in-law. He decided to go back to his room. "Eat before going to bed. Don't get sick. I'm going first. Call me if you need anything" Jack said.

Not long after Helena and Sean's mother's arrival, the food ordered by Jack also came. Claire simply asks the hotel clerk to put her on the table after which asks her mother-in-law and Helena to talk inside her room.

"Thank you, sister," said Claire with a lethargic face.

After Jack's departure. Claire went to the bathroom and came out after 30 minutes. Feeling tired, Claire goes to bed and checks her phone. There was no message from Sean.

After hanging up last night, Sean hasn't called him or just texted him. In fact, Sean has never sent a message to Claire since they were married, and vice versa. They never communicate, unless there is interest.

After pondering for a while, Claire finally calls Sean's phone, but it's off. Finally, Claire decided to go to sleep.

Claire rang her mother-in-law's room bell after reaching her doorstep. She wanted to know if her mother-in-law was still angry with her or not. "Mother" greeted Claire gently as the door opened.

After breakfast, Claire returned to her room and contacted someone. "Kenz, why can't Sean's phone be reached?" claire asked after her phone call was picked up by Sean's assistant.

Done calling Sean's assistant, the phone rang. "Hello Carl, how about?"

"As Wild said. He was in Uncle Sam's country with a woman. He was staying at the hotel next to the woman's apartment" the man who spoke to Claire on the phone said.

"What is that woman, the same woman I asked you to investigate?"

"Yeah." Yeah."

Claire closed her eyes for a while while taking a deep breath. "All right, thank you. You don't have to investigate anymore." Claire disconnects her phone call and is pensive for a while.
