After taking a walk, Claire returned to the hotel because it was late afternoon. He should be getting ready to attend the party tonight. "Wild, thank you for driving me."

"Yes." Yeah." Wild smiled then gently rubbed Claire's head without Claire being able to avoid, "come in."

Claire nodded with a forced smile. Wild's sudden movements while rubbing her hair, made Claire a little awkward. He turned around and walked towards the hotel lobby, but just a few steps, Claire stopped and turned around. "Wild," called Claire when she saw that she had already stepped away.

Wild stopped his steps and turned to Claire. "Thank you for giving me such wonderful memories as long as I'm with you. I hope you can let me go and not be stuck forever with our past." Claire smiled and then turned to leave Wild who seemed to stand staring at his disappearance.

Claire, don't thank me just yet because my fight isn't over. I've just started. I will create even more beautiful memories, if you come back to me.

Wild turned around and left the hotel.

Sean's mother approached Claire's room after she finished preparing. The show is about to start, so Sean's mother immediately invites Claire to come down after Claire finishes her pecking herself.

Tonight, Claire is wearing an ivory-white sleeveless dress with thin straps hanging on either side of her shoulder. Her appearance is very graceful and beautiful. The aura of a classy woman, could not be separated from her, even though she was only wearing a simple dress and not too much detail.

"Claire, you're so beautiful. The one who saw you for the first time, must not have thought that you were from the village. You look like you come from a rich family" Sean's mother said as she walked into the recently opened elevator.

When he realized his wrong words, Sean's mother immediately apologized. "Sorry Claire. I didn't mean to offend and insult you for coming from the village."

Claire smiled softly as she did not feel offended at all by her mother-in-law's words. "It's okay, Mother. I see what you mean."

Upon arrival at the party, Claire walks side by side with her mother-in-law. Before greeting the host, Sean's mother first invited him to meet with some of his acquaintances. Proudly introducing Claire as her daughter-in-law.

She no longer cared what her son said to keep her marriage a secret. After chatting for a while, Sean's mother then met the owner of the show. "Jeremy, meet my daughter-in-law." Sean's mother set her eyes on Claire with a warm smile.

Both Mr. Jeremy and Claire looked surprised, but Claire greeted politely and bowed for a moment. "Mr Jeremy, introduce my name, Claire."

Seeing Claire introduce herself and be formal with him, Mr. Jeremy seemed confused for a moment and then said, "Yes, nice to meet you, Claire."

Mr. Jeremy is not a fool, he understands that Claire is hiding something by pretending not to know him.

"So Sean is married? Why haven't I heard any news all this time?" Mr. Jeremy asked Sean's mother with an astonished face.

Sean's mother smiled awkwardly. The relationship between the two families is very good. She felt bad about not being able to tell Jeremy's family anything.

"Yeah already. Sorry I couldn't invite you. We don't have any events. Sean is busy, so he hasn't had time to prepare for the party and hasn't been able to tell the public."

Mr. Jeremy got a sign of understanding, then he turned to Claire. "Sean is very lucky to have a wife like you."

"Thank you for the compliment, Mr. Jeremy," Claire said politely.

When Sean's mother was chatting with Jeremy, Claire said goodbye to go to the toilet, but had not yet reached the toilet someone pulled her. "Claire, we need to talk." The woman pulled Claire out of the party.

"Gloria, what are you doing here?" Claire was surprised to see Gloria at the same party.

"Claire, do you know where Wild is right now? He left home 2 months ago and said he wanted to find you. Have you met him?"

Claire frowned. He had just met Wild this afternoon, but why did Gloria ask him about Wild's whereabouts? Though Wild was also in L city at the moment.

Could it be that Wild came here without Gloria's knowledge?

"I don't know where he is. I don't have any relationship with her anymore" Claire replied nonchalantly.

"Claire, there's no way you don't know where Wild is. You must be lying to me, right?"

He used to be very close to Gloria, but now everything has changed. The originally close like brothers turned into enemies in an instant.

"I'm not lying to you. I don't really know where he is right now. Anyway, I'm not her boyfriend anymore. It was you who ruined our relationship" Claire replied tightly.

Gloria could not reply to Claire's strict attitude to him because what she called was true. "I'm sorry, Claire. I had to do it. My son needs a father, Claire. Please understand," Gloria said with a guilty face.

Claire glanced at Gloria's already enlarged stomach. "But the boy is not Wild's son. Why is he responsible for what he never did? You should have asked the father of the baby in your belly to take responsibility instead of ruining my relationship with Wild by setting her up."

Gloria's tears began to pool in her eye sockets. "I know, I was wrong Claire, but I don't know where this baby is in my womb. At that time, I was drunk at the bar and when I woke up I was already inside the hotel. That man just left me and left his seed in my womb, Claire. I also didn't expect that I would get pregnant because we only did it that night."

Claire seemed to throw a sideways glance with an indifferent face. "I was so confused when I found out I was pregnant. All I had in mind at the time was to find a surrogate father for my son."

Claire then turned to Gloria with an annoyed and angry face. "Gloria, you shouldn't have framed Wild. You should take responsibility for what you've done, not destroy the lives of others to save yourself" Claire said.

"Over now, Wild hasn't been good to you? When we were studying abroad, he always protected you just like he protected me. He always takes care of you from a guy who's bad at you. If you're having trouble with anything, he's always helping you. He also always takes you out of the country with us because he feels sorry for me who has no friends other than me and Gretta. When your father's company almost went bankrupt, he helped your father until your father's company returned to the house again. While your father's company is underfunded, Wild is also the one who helped solve the financial crisis in your father's company. There's so much good he's done to you and your family that I can't name them all one by one."

Gloria's tears spilled instantly. "I know, I was wrong. I regret it too, Claire. He was the only one I thought of at the time."

"You're the meanest woman I've ever known, Gloria. All Wild's kindness to you, you countered by ruining his life. You really don't have a heart. How can you ruin a man as good as Wild?"

Gloria immediately sat down limply on the floor. "I had to, Claire. This kid needs a father and I loved Wild a long time ago. He's the man who's fit to help me."

Instead of pity, Claire was even more upset to hear Gloria's words. "I just wanted to ask her to marry me until my son was born, Claire. After that, I can divorce her. He should be able to do that for me, right? All this time, he's been helping me. Helping me once again, definitely not difficult for him, right?" gloria asked as she grabbed Claire's hand.

Claire's anger grew even more after hearing Gloria's words. His head was hot from holding back his anger earlier.

"Gloria, my only real regret in my life is introducing Wild to you. I really regret it. You should be thankful that Wild didn't destroy your family after what you did to him. Better not bother him again. Don't ever dare ask her to take responsibility for your pregnancy."

Claire then looked down with a glare of sharp eyes. "Stay away from Wild's life and live your life in peace. It was my last pardon to you for the baby in your womb. Never look your face in front of Wild or me again, otherwise I will crush you to the lowest point until you can't get back up."

Claire pulled out her hand held by Gloria violently after which walked into the party.
