"It's okay. Coincidentally today is my birthday and let's just say I'm celebrating with you two."
"So it's your birthday?" V nodded. "Happy birthday, yeah. May you achieve all that you aspire to."
"Yes, may you also live a long, healthy life always and happy."
"Thank you for the prayers of both of you. I also hope that you both achieve your goals."
"Thank you, V. V, why don't you celebrate with your friends?"
"I'm actually kind of hard to be friends with someone. I'm in my college there are no schoolmates and that's what makes me hard to get along with the new neighborhood even though I've been there a few months."
"But why not with us?" ask Denna.
"Maybe it's because you guys have something in common, Denna. You also don't get along easily with new people."
"Oh yeah? You do too, Denna?"
Denna poked her shoulder. "I don't actually feel that way, it's just that I don't have many friends because I'm his son who likes to be alone or just with my family."

"Denne." Diaz nudged Denna's arm making Denna who was spending her drink shocked.

"He's handsome too?"
"Yes. Diaz, you're getting married. You don't cheat on Mas Rio. You can shake your head."
"Who would cheat? I want to marry Mas Rio. I can't possibly cheat with anyone else."
"Then?"
"I mean you fit in with him."
"Why do you like to match people. Me and V just got acquainted and he seems like he could be a good friend."
"Yes-yes, I know that you love Dimas the same, but don't know what Dimas is?"
Denna looked at Diaz. "Then he told me about his ex, they broke up because his girlfriend's parents didn't like him, and when I asked him if he still loved his ex, he didn't answer."
"Well! Don't let him still expect her even if he treats you sweetly."
Denna paused for a moment to digest the words of her best friend. "Maybe I'm the one who hopes for her too much, huh, Diaz? I'm a disgrace."
"You're really in love with Dimas?"
"It seems, Diaz, but if Dimas really doesn't have feelings for me, I can't force him."
"Just look for the good and handsome like V." Diaz chuckles.

Denna's college is over, she's still waiting for Dimas in the parking lot.
"Denna you haven't come home yet?"
"I was waiting for my car to come. You go home first."
"Well, then I'm leaving because I want to buy something at the traditional market before it closes."
"Traditional market? What are you buying?"
"Today I want to make my brother's favorite meal to celebrate my birthday like every year we always do."
"You cook?" Denna was a bit surprised.
"Yes, I've loved cooking since I was a kid."
"Wow! You're a great guy. Prospective doctor and good at cooking."
"Obviously. I'll invite you and Diaz to my house sometime to taste my cooking. How's it?"
"May be."
"I'll excuse you then. Bye, Denna." V drove his bike away from there.
Not long Dimas came from the opposite direction. "Sorry, has Miss been waiting for me for a long time?"
"Not even Dimas. Where are you from? Are you having any important business?"
Dimas shook his head and they left from there. "Dimas, you've had lunch"
"I'll eat at home, Miss."
"Oh yeah, that's it."
"Will Miss Denna eat? I'll drop you off?"
"I had lunch in the cafeteria. You shouldn't be late to eat so you don't get sick."
"Yes, Miss Doctor." Dimas smiled. With Denna.
Denna told Dimas to go home because he had no need outside the house. Dimas was very happy because he could help his sister make dishes to celebrate her sister's birthday.
The newly arrived dimas smelled the aroma of a very tasty and delicious cuisine. "Happy birthday, V. It's a gift for you." Dimas immediately gave the gift he had bought this morning after delivering Denna to the hospital.
"I, right, told you, Brother. Brother doesn't need to give me any gifts because I'd rather Kak Dimas keep Big Brother's money."
"It's okay.Last year Brother didn't buy you any gifts."
"I didn't ask for a gift, brother. I can celebrate my birthday with my sister is happy. What else if there's a mother, it's gonna be more fun." V lowered his head.
Dimas approached and pulled his sister's nape to put V's forehead on his shoulder. "No need to think about our mother. He was happy there."

V opened the gift of his brother and he was very surprised to see a watch that he had wanted all this time.
"Sister, isn't this expensive?"
"Son't saved up to buy that hour. Do you like it?"
"Very. Thank you, Brother." The two brothers hugged each other. "Sister, I promise to be a successful doctor and I will make Kak Dimas proud and happy for Brother."
"Don't think about it too much. I will not demand anything from you. I just want you to be successful and my promise to our late mother can be made."
That night the two handsome men looked very happy celebrating a simple birthday.
"Who's Dad how many days are in San Francisco?"
"Maybe it's about a week or so until your dad's job is done."
