Nara's New Life
A few days passed. Nara spends her days accompanied by Jacob and his family. He tries to forget Jaden, who Nara also forgets.
"Nara, are you ready to start your college today?" asked Jacob who looked neat with a bag on his lap.
"It's ready Mr. Lecturer."
"Ahahah! Don't call me sir, I feel old. Just call me Jacob as usual.
"What can? Others will think I'm being disrespectful."
Jacob's hand pulled Nara's two hands and held her. "It's okay. I'm the youngest lecturer there anyway."
Nara looked at her hand held by Jacob. "Yes, we're leaving now. I want to say goodbye to both of your parents."
Nara pushes Jacob's wheelchair into the living room and they see Jacob's parents who are also going to the office. Mama Jacob will go to charity events as usual.
"Nara, I hope you can adapt well on campus. You take it easy, if there's a problem there, you just tell me with mama or Jacob, we'll solve it soon. No one there can bother you or the donations we have given so far will be revoked if there is something that troubles you there" explained Mama Miranda.
"Nothing will happen, Ma. You're sure they're very nice people like you."
"Oh yeah! Next week there will be the biggest social service event that the mama foundation will hold. Mama and dad will invite Jacob and surely you Nara to come to attend the event. Do you want to?"
"A-i? But I've never been on a show like that." Nara looked confused.
"Therefore you must be present at the event because you will be introduced as our future daughter-in-law, Nara."
"What's? Prospective son-in-law?" Nara's eyes were wide.
"Ma, it's too soon, Nara and I haven't talked about this."
Nara looked astonished and confused. He looked at the direction Jacob was in front of him. "You've been too long Jacob. Nara should know if you liked Nara when you first met."
"Jacob already liked me when he first met?" Nara once again looked at Jacob with an astonished look.
"Nara, I'm sorry to surprise you over this matter, but it's true what my mama said. I've liked you since I first met you, and a few days with you, I'm even more convinced that I love you."
Nara really did not expect that Jacob would have more feelings for her.
"Nara, but this need not be a burden to you. I'm just talking about how I feel, even if you can't accept me, I won't force you and you won't feel bad about me. I know about this situation of mine that maybe you can't accept me."
"Jacob! You don't say that." Nara sat down at Jacob's feet. Nara held Jacob's hand. "I never thought you weren't perfect just because you couldn't walk. Not like that, but--." Nara was silent for a moment.
"But what, Nara?" ask Carlos' father who is afraid that Nara will talk about her relationship with Jaden.
"It's too soon for me. I don't know you any closer either."
"I understand Nara. We better not have to talk about this first. Let everything go as it is."
Nara just gave her little smile.Nara left for college with Jacob
Upon arriving there, the arrival of Nara and Jacob immediately became the center of attention of people who were none other than Jacob's students. Moreover, Jacob was quite famous in that campus. He was the youngest and most handsome lecturer there despite teaching them in a wheelchair.
"Who is he? Why would he come with Mr Thomson?" A little girl with blonde hair.
"I don't know, but that girl is pretty sweet. Maybe he's Mr. Thomson's girlfriend. Waw! It turned out that she already had a lover," replied the man with her plontos head.
"Team, I want to greet them and find out who that girl is. Do you want to come?"
"Of course Grace." The two men who were medical students approached Nara and Jacob.
"For Mr. Thomson" said a girl named Grace.
"For Grace, morning Tim. Did the task I gave you guys finish well?"
"Of course, Mr. Thomson has nothing to worry about. Mr Thomson, who is he? Is she your lover?"
Jacob looked at Nara who was standing behind him. "She's Nara, and she's my best friend who's going to college here with you. Nara, this is Tim and Grace. They are my smartest students in class, you can learn a lot with them."
Nara kindly and politely invited them to meet, and they were very happy to get to know Nara.
"Nara, will you sit close to me? Let Tim move sit with you."
"I don't care if Tim wants to."
"Of course I don't mind." Nara quickly gets familiar with them. Nara is very happy to have two very good friends.
Grace takes Nara to the cafeteria for a meal. "Nara, is it true that you and Mr. Thomson are just ordinary friends? You guys have no special relationship. Mr. Thomson was very handsome and kind, although he could not walk."
"Jacob and I are just friends. Jacob's family has been very kind to send me here and invite me to stay at his house." Nara tells how she got to know Jacob's family. Nara doesn't want to lie to Grace about why she ended up in Canada.
"Wow! The story of your life really makes me not believe, but you are grateful that your life and future can be well secured."
"Yes, sometimes behind a disaster there is a beautiful blessing."
"Right is what you said. It's great that I get to know such a strong and patient girl like you, Nara. You don't hesitate if you need my help because me and Tim will be ready to help you. Yeah, right, Tim?" Grace turned to Tim, but the plontos man was instead busy with games on his phone.
Nara chuckled little looking at Grace's annoyed face. "She didn't care about us before."
"Yes, I get upset sometimes why should I have a friend like her?"
"Friend?" Nara remembers her best friend in high school once the Paijo. What's his fate now?
Nara picks up her phone and she still remembers Paijo's mobile number. Nara wants to talk to Paijo.
