Maple High School Academy Hidden Year 1
The Vow in Ginkgo Forest - First Mission (with Her)

The First Mission (with Her)

“Hei!” Chalia half-runs after Thedon. “Can't your step slow down a little?” his gerrick.

“This is slow,” replied Thedon without turning a head.

Chalia snorted without any intention of replying to the reply of the man who had now returned far in front of her. The red-haired woman turned her head briefly to Red, her pet's red-haired fox.

The problem is that one footstep is equal to three steps, Chalia complained to Red.

The complaint that only answered the ruckus by Red. However, that rarity could only be heard by Chalia. Thedon only heard the fox's shrill that was bothering him.

“Can you walk fast a little bit? Don't be slow!” Thedon called for Chalia. “And tell your fox to stop snorting!” continued. And the rarity sounded longer.

“I'm fast. You're the one who's too fast.” Chalia doesn't like to be slow.

“Hah, who told you to be short now,” whispered Thedon slowly. He was sure no one would hear his whisper.

Suddenly a pebble smashed into the head of the Main Prefect of Maple Academy. Thedon nodded and looked back. He saw Chalia just crossing her arms while looking at him nyalang.

“You hit me with pebbles?”

Chalia did not answer. He walked over to Thedon. The woman looked up at Thedon's eyes.

“I'm not short. You are too towering for the Elf race.”

Thedon was silent looking at Chalia's greenish eyes. The snoring resuscitated his daydream.

“Yes done, don't bother with it.” Thedon broke eye contact. He then returned to continue his steps. “We have to hurry to Sunmarket.”

Chalia who saw the way Thedon looked away from her was just grieving. He looked at Red, What the hell is he?

She's nervous about you

Bizarrely.

Never mind, quickly follow him. You'll have to scold again, Red reminded. Chalia simply shrugged and sped up her pace with half a run.

“You already have a guess who took the book?” chalia asked as her footsteps began to align with Thedon.

Thedon did not answer. They just got to the Sunmarket door. He then said, “I suspect the same people who helped me?”

“Who?”

“Entah.” Thedon shrugged his shoulders. “What I remember is only three people whose height is not far from me. All men with beards. And their smell is like the smell of pirates.”

“Hah?” Chalia did not understand Thedon's final sentence.

“They smell of liquor,” obviously Thedon makes Chalia nod her head.

“Kita split. You go that way.” Thedon pointed to his left. “I'll be looking in the opposite direction.”

“Why should it split?”

“Let's fast, Short.” Thedon grinned slightly at Chalia who snorted from being called short. “After all I have given their description. It's not hard for you to find it.”

“OK. We meet again here in half an hour.” Chalia then hurried to leave Thedon.

Chalia leaned against the wall in one of the shops. Thedon who was standing next to him also sighed. They are tired of going in and out of the store. It turns out not easy to find ‘si peran’.

You seem disappointed, Red said. He chose to speak telepathically between the employer and the pet contract.

Yes, it turns out this mission is even like alone.

Hence, don't expect too much.

Whahuh?

You still like him, don't you?

Shhsttt…

Whahuh?

Quiescent. I heard something suspicious.

Chalia sharpened her hearing. He closed his eyes. His pointed ears seemed to be swaying. He began to pick out some conversations that had popped into his ear. The focus was on listening to the conversation about books and the students of the academy.

Thedon who saw Chalia's behavior also seemed to be preparing. He watched the girl.

“After the bookstore,” Chalia said as soon as she started opening her eyes.

“Which bookstore?” asked Thedon, though he was suspicious of the bookstore he had visited with Miss Therenia.

The heart of Thedon. It is a Bibliophile store. He should have expected it.

The two students were rushing towards the direction Chalia pointed. As Thedon was about to enter the store, Chalia held him. She shook her head.

“Not to it.” His finger pointed at an alley next to the shop.

“You sure?”

Chalia nodded her head. His hearing couldn't have been wrong. Especially with this close.

Followed by Red, the two of them walked slowly. Getting into the alley, the two heard the conversation of many people. The voices sounded very hoarse and old, interspersed with laughter and some growls.

Once at the end of the alley, both Chalia and Thedon were flabbergasted. They did not see three adults with large stature, but six Dwarves who were drinking.

“Academy Students!” One of them shouted at the presence of Chalia and Thedon. That shout made the other five Dwarves move quickly. Without being prevented, all the Dwarves dashed running. They split in all directions.

Thedon and Chalia went after the Dwarves. Chalia chased after some Dwarves who jumped over the wall at the end of the alley. Chalia's small posture makes her agile after them.

While Thedon chased two Dwarves who ran towards the big street of Sunmarket. Thedon pursued both. He threw the rope and aided by the wind movement he controlled, the ropes instantly moved towards the Dwarf's second leg.

Both fell at the same time. They overlap each other. Thedon immediately approached the two and began tying them with the one rope he had used to scuttle.

The two Dwarves who were on their backs also started to shout.

“Let us go!”

“What right do you have to catch us?”

“You're just a small student?”

“We didn't take anything!”

“We've sold everything!”

“Release us!”

Tired of hearing the scream, Thedon then pressed the nape of the two with a thumb. The two Dwarves fell asleep.

“Now much better,” he said with a grin. Not long after, he heard Chalia's scream.

Thedon immediately darted away from the two Dwarves and moved towards the direction of the sound not far from the wall that Chalia and the other Dwarves were jumping on.

When Thedon had crossed the wall, he saw Chalia's arm shed blood. The female elf herself appeared to be holding a wound on her left arm with her right hand.

Looking at the dripping blood, Thedon could not help his anger. He then unleashed his strength and punched the air in front of him. The gathered air then punched the Dwarf who was holding the dagger. The Dwarf was blown away with a single blow. His dagger fell down and Red immediately bit him, taking him away from the side of the Dwarf that was sprawled by the Thedon's wind fist.

“You okay?” ask Thedon who approached Chalia. His face looks worried.

“I'm sorry,” said Chalia.

“Why apologize? I asked, are you okay.”

“They all ran there!” Chalia ignored Thedon's question. He pointed in one direction with his injured hand.

“Do not move much. You're hurt!”

“I should have been able to hold them. Now those three Dwarves have already escaped.” Chalia was still raving about the Dwarves running away.

“Hei, Chalia. Look at me!” Thedon held onto both of Chalia's shoulders. “You are currently injured. We treat your wounds first.”

Chalia brushed off Thedon's hand. “No. We'll go after them!”

“How do you chase them if you get hurt!”

“It's just a small wound.”

“We're back at the academy. Your wounds must be treated first. Madam Polina can definitely treat you.”

Thedon then heard a ripping sound. Chalia tore off the tip of her skirt using the dagger Red delivered.

“I can cough up my wounds with this.” Without saying much, Chalia bandaged the sabetrical wound with a rag tear from the end of her skirt. Thedon could only see the girl acting first aid on herself.

First mission with him and get him hurt. That's great, Thedon!  thought the man.

“If you are not busy, can you help me tie this?” Chalia dashed Thedon's daydream. The prefect immediately made a knot. The bandage of the alakadarnya already tied neatly.

“Thank you and come on!” Chalia ran immediately.

“Better we return to the academy!” exciting Thedon.

“We better catch up with those Dwarves immediately and complete the mission! Or your punishment could be more than just chasing a thief!”
