Trick and Attack

“DO NOT NOISE, LATER we get caught.”

Two green-robed humans sneaked closer to the wall on the inside of the animal cage. One of them who looked shorter tightly hugged his friend's wrist. Turning his head in alarm, he said, “I'm really scared. The ghost of that woman always makes a sound as I pass through the hallways at night. Whereas other students have never experienced it, huh!”

“Psstt .. I told you, keep your voice down. That's because you're too timid.”

The two humans, who were none other than Lily and Maya had been standing right in front of the warehouse door. They revealed the green hood robes they were wearing, robes that only the four students in the academy had. The four students are gangsters who steal curfews to get out of the dorm, Lily, Maya, Efron, and Jace. The pride robes they had been using since the first year, only when they wanted to escape. However, this time they did a mission during the dinner hour, where everyone was still passing by. Also without Efron. Because the Wizard man has a task that is no less important.

“You have the key?”

“Faith. I already dupliknya after Venalu told me to tidy up the warehouse earlier.” Lily showed the blue crystal in the shape of a pentagon proudly.

“Alright, let's start the mission this time.” Lily stretched her palm against the green painted wall, then whispered an opening spell that Venalu had previously taught her. Instantly the wall shifted, featuring a narrow hallway at the end of which was a round and serrated iron door. The room is a strong room or room that is specifically designed to be fireproof and not easily entered by just anyone.

When approached, in the middle of the jagged door there is a pentagon-shaped curve. Lily put the crystal key she carried into the indentation, then turned it around until the sound of iron friction from inside. In an instant the door opened and the two schoolgirls disappeared behind it.

 “Where are Lily and Maya? I don't seem to have seen them since.” Venalu put the vegetable tray for his dinner menu on a long table. Before sitting down, he took the time to keep an eye around to find two troublesome schoolgirls who lately made him dizzy.

Efron sweetened and shook his head slowly while answering, “I don't know.” His gaze then scrutinized the Venalu food that only contained vegetables and fruits— as usual. “You don't eat meat?”

Venalu shook his hands with an expression of wanting to vomit. “I didn't eat that. Know it? I always imagined that my own flesh was served. It sure doesn't taste good.”

They continued to eat dinner with small talk and occasionally throwing jokes at each other. However, behind the small talk, Venalu felt that there was something Efron had hidden.  It seems that the Wizard is not good at acting in front of Venalu. I don't know why, since then his mind could not calm down and felt something strange. So after finishing his meal, he asked, “You're not hiding something from me, are you, Ef?”

“A-what? Me .. Of course I'm not hiding anything from you. What am I going to hide?” Efron tried to cover up his nervousness by smiling so sweetly.

“There. If you hide something, surely the answer is ...,” Venalu deliberately paused his sentence to see Efron's reaction as he cleaned up his cutlery, “your friend,” continued Venalu full of emphasis.

Efron remained silent, neither denying nor justifying Venalu's words. This made Venalu sigh violently. Must have been right. Given the behavior of the two schoolgirls he meant was very chaotic beyond the row of rune letters that he had to learn. “Come, come with me!”

“To where? We're about to enter curfew. We're not supposed to be wandering around these nights, are we?” prevent Efron, but keep up with Venalu's quick pace.

“Yes. And neither of your two friends should be wandering around at night. You should have talked this to them,” Venalu quipped.

Venalu stopped suddenly. His chin lifted causing the pair of pale and bold neutrals to collide with Efron's pair of glaring eyes. “No need to talk if only bragging!” After saying so, Venalu immediately turned his face away and stepped back in haste. Too long staring at Efron is not healthy for his heart. He also did not want to look wrong in this situation.

It didn't take long, they had now arrived at the cage of magical beasts. For some reason, feeling Venalu directed him towards this place since earlier. When I entered the room, nothing was suspicious. Everything looks fine as usual. However, as he walked further inward, a faint-hearted voice sounded. “You really lied to me apparently,” hissed Venalu when he found that there was no wall blocking the secret passageway to the strong room.

“You didn't lock it, huh?”

“This is beyond my estimation. Nobody should have come in here.”

The voice was heard more clearly as Venalu approached. The serrated door opened in half and displayed the shadows of the two people inside. Impatiently, he opened the door wider until the two women inside jumped in shock.

“So, what are you doing with all this?” venalu asked slowly, but so piercingly.

It's so fucked up in there. The food of the animals that should be neatly arranged in separate lockers is scattered. Some things are also scattered. Lily and Maya who were nervous also looked confused.

“Oath, not us,” Maya rebuttal.

“I can't believe.” Venalu took a step back with a judgmental look. “This cannot be allowed. This time I will report you guys,” he added before turning around to leave the room.

“No! You can't do that because it's not our fault!” lily shouted as she ran after Venalu.

“Be quiet, Lily! I'll still report.”

Hearing Venalu's words, Lily's body immediately stopped moving as if it was frozen. His mouth was also tightly closed. Damn, the curse of Miss Elafir!

Seeing Lily stop moving, Venalu turned back around. However, he had yet to step up, he closed his eyes and felt a negative energy being nearby. Slowly, the circular mark on his forehead lit up making him undo the intention to get out of the animal enclosure.

“What a creature it is!” yelled Maya while pointing upwards. The creature with the body of a bird and the head of a beautiful woman was not far from them. They all retreated, except for Lily because Venalu's orders completely kept her quiet like a statue.

“Lily, move!” venalu's orders that make Lily move again.

Lily held on to her position. Staring at the strange creatures who were also staring wildly at them was like bloodthirsty. “Harpi,” murmured after trying to remember something.

Harpi, the creature has been told several times by Miss Aimer when studying Mythology. It shouldn't be too dangerous, but what they saw this time was far from what they learned. At least that was what was on the heads of the four of them before the creature swooped down about to attack.

“Lily, beware!”
