Maple High School Academy Hidden Year 1
The Vision from the Sky - Smile

Smiles

“STILL REMEMBER THE TIME I said what a person does can be 180 degrees different from what he thinks?” Amara spoke while putting a cup of masala chai in front of Shalima. “I think it applies really to the case of the Thann.” Amara sat down on the chair in front of Shal and spoke while playing the lip of her cup.

“At the moment he absorbed your energy, his mind became a little unawares. I briefly entered his mind, but perhaps because he was trained to be vigilant in every condition, I have not managed to read his mind perfectly.” Amara then sipped her maghrebinya tea while still watching Shal who was stirring his drink while contemplating.

“Which is clear, he has no intention of hurting you, Shal. He only wants to warn you, but the way is too late. I guess, she did hide something.”

Shalima still remembers when Thann looked at her gently so consciously that Shalima had another unique ability. The man was happy for her. In fact, thanks to Thann, Shal was able to better understand his body. The girl felt that not only could her body cells regenerate, but her energy as well.

About Thann, he can not only absorb energy and do energy shots, but also can absorb something else. Whatisit? Clearly, Shal's body gave him a danger sign.

Don't always believe what you think. Open your mind to other possibilities.

If Thann thought Shalima was stupid, he should have spoken clearly. The girl was now so confused by Thann's riddle.

“I think it's true Zovras said, you have to be careful with Thann and his family. Well, we can't judge people at will, but being vigilant also doesn't hurt.”

As soon as Zovras' name was mentioned, Shal got nervous. He actually took Amara to the Bread & Butter Cafe to advise the girl about Zovras. However, Shal was still confused starting the conversation.

Suddenly Valfred sat down beside Amara while throwing a sinless smile in all directions. Instead of being upset or confused, Amara instead said that she had ordered Valfred's favorite butter cake.

“When did you guys make up?” Shal looked at the two with a probing look.

“Three days ago,” Valfred replied with a big smile, “Sorry that I'm so annoying. I think it's about puberty werewolf.”

“That's important you guys are better. That’s the only thing matters.”

“Well, fighting is not good, but that does not mean there is no benefit,” said Amara. “I certainly lost you guys, but I got along with other students, who I had even obviously shunned because of prejudice. It turns out it's fun to taste the minds of diverse creatures! I learned that creatures are complex and that we can never judge them fully or judge them fairly. Creatures consist of many shades.”

Shalima is amazed by Amara who can learn valuable lessons even from bad events. What we think is bad is not entirely bad. There is always something to be learned from the life that goes on.

“I agree! Because yesterday there were no wise men around me, I moved with the instincts of wild animals. At first, I thought being rejected by Elle meant doomsday. It seems ordinary, really! Playing with adrenaline is fun! I think that youth should not be wasted on being tied to just one person. Have fun to the max, guys!”

Shalima not only gawked at Valfred's lesson, but also because Amara seemed to agree with it. Both of them are doing high five in the air. Yesterday's feud seemed to really bring about a great change for both of them.

“After all, twenty-four hours after being rejected I was able to move on, kok,” show off Valfred.

“Twenty-four hours? I moved on from you like not enough six hours, deh,” pout Amara.

“Move on from whom, Am?” Shalima asked Amara to repeat her words before sipping her masala chai. Amara and Valfred realize that Shalima doesn't know anything yet.

“I used to have a crush on Valfred, Shal,” Amara said casually. Masala Chai who entered Shalima's mouth so sprayed out, fortunately not hit anyone.

“Quiet, Shal. I just realized that it turns out I'm very easy to fall in love. Just need to know for a moment, I can already have a crush.” Amara spoke leisurely while looking at Valfred. Whether possessed by demons from where, the two even compactly embrace each other while saying, “The youth should not be wasted to only bond with one person!”

“Wait! Aren't you dating Zovras?” sergeant Shalima told Amara, making the Elf girl spout tea from her mouth.

“Gosh! Behave, ladies! Behave!” Valfred warned his two female companions while helping them wipe away the table full of liquid spray. “Aren't you the one who updates frequently with Zovras?”

“Iya! Didn't Zovras say he wanted to get closer to you? After you've spent so much time together, how can you still think he's interested in me? She obviously likes you!” amara's Cecar.

Not to forget, Shal also felt guilty to Zovras. He once considered the man a player for playing Amara. Apparently, there was nothing between the two of them.

“I had a crush on Zovras, anyway. Who tries not to be smitten with a man of a million talents like him? But for a long time I got tired of reading his mind. It contains if not celestial objects and paint, yes Shalima,” racoo Amara. “He could even know Shal was sleep deprived when his face looked fine. Oh yeah, the moon rabbit ointment I gave you back at the time was actually from Zovras. He asked for this to be kept a secret, but if it's wet like this do it again covered up.”

You're happy, aren't you, Shal?

Shalima tried to divert the conversation by asking Amara, “Kok can you be a crush on a lot of guys? Didn't you say loyalty is a basic manner?”

“Of course! Therefore, before linking the heart to someone, it is better to expand the association first in order to choose well. Like tasting food before you actually eat whichever you like. How, huh? This seems to be understood only by the mind-reader. Anyway, everyone has their own side of pulling. When it is like food, the human mind is rich in taste. Some are bitter like coffee, but that doesn't mean it's not bad, right? Some are spicy like chili, but that doesn't mean you don't want to enjoy it. So, confused also if you have to determine which one you really want to eat,” explained Amara. The Elf girl chuckled as soon as she read Shalima's mind full of question marks.

“Naksir does not mean you have to date. Anyway, right now I am in a happy phase ‘tasting’ the thoughts of the creatures. So far, at Maple Academy, there's only one that I think is phenomenal.”

“Who?”  shal and Valfred asked at the same time.

“Pak Headmaster. He once let me into his mind. For the first time I could see the beautiful scenery through mind-reading, but usually only through sound. Our principal is cool!” Amara spoke while propping up her chin. I don't know what sight the girl saw in Mr.'s mind. Navarro, but looking at Amara's current expression, it was like the girl was completely amazed.

Suddenly, Amara smiled to herself. The graceful label that had been clinging to him yawned already.

“Actually there is one more ...”

“Who?” Shal and Valfred asked at the same time. Looking at Amara, it seems this one is special.

“His thoughts are difficult to explain in words. On the one hand his mind was full of ambition and loneliness, but on the other, his mind was brilliant, lively, and full of ideas. If I were to describe it, his mind was like a colorful fireworks that exploded in the night sky. There's the pulling side.”

Shal and Valfred try to guess who the fireworks guy is that makes Amara blush just by thinking about it. However, their guesses were always wrong.

“If you talk fireworks, I remember the Levi,” joked Valfred who was lazy to guess. He diverted the conversation by discussing the events of the beginning of the school year. Shal laughed in response to Valfred's joke. A wise noble daughter is paired with a reckless mad scientist. It is not a romance, but a satirical comedy.

A few seconds later the atmosphere became awward because Shal and Valfred instead saw Amara smiling again with a red tinge on her cheek.

Zovras handed a large envelope to Shalima. It contains images related to Shalima's dream. The man asked Shal to examine the images again, before they could do a dream interpretation through astrology.

“Image of the cave hole is missing. I'll look again, yes!” Zovras.  He took out two bracelets from a leather bag in his hand. “I also have a gift for you.”

Unknowingly, Shalima raised her right hand, allowing Zovras to put the bracelet there. Zovras smiled and put one of the bracelets on Shal's wrist.

“This bracelet from amethyst stone, prehnite, blue chalcedony, and lapis lazuli. These stones can ward off nightmares. Think of it just in case.”

Shal was amazed to look at the colorful stone coiled around his wrist. This was not a matter of stone, but Zovras' attention to him.

“If this one is from lepidolite stone, black tournaline, and rose quartz,” explains Zovras while pairing the second bracelet on Shalima's wrist. “This is to make you sleep more soundly and deeper into the dream realm.”

Zovras played Shalima's hand while watching the bracelet that was coiled there. “When I was a kid, I had a dream about a bunch of moon rabbits. Turns out, it was a clue that I was looking for Eloysa. So I thought, maybe what you're having is not a nightmare, but a revelation or a vision.”

Revelation or vision? Sounds so cool!

“This is not certain either. Hopefully by getting into the dream, you can get a clearer picture. My advice, if you dream again, try to communicate with the dragons. Who knows it could give you another clue.” Zovras smiled as he let go of Shal's hand.

Shal nodded while twirling the stones on his bracelet. He smiled back at Zovras. “Thank you, yes. I don't think my dreams are that bad. Precisely because of dreaming, I get to know you more deeply.”

There were birds singing on the trees. For a while, Zovras and Shalima just stared at each other and threw smiles. Zovras patted Shalima's head gently, “Didn't you have to intern at the school clinic any minute? Come on, let me take you!”
