Maple High School Academy Hidden Year 1
Levi Strauss and the Journey to the North - West - Scorpion King

Scorpion King's

“HOW DO WE FIND Gold Asteroid fragments in this desert in the middle of nowhere?”

They had just landed in a very strange place. Unidentified location in Northwest. The desert was barren as far as the eye could see. There is no visible life, except for the shadows of palm plants or cacti. Levi put on his glasses. The glasses can be zoomed in so that he can see far away parts. “I just saw the sand dune and .. wait. Is it a lake?”

“Fatamorgana.” Lord Betelgeuse retaliated after he returned the chariot to the snake boa. He looked at the scorching sky. The sun is right over their heads. “Tch! I don't fit in with daylight. Levi, take out one of your useful tools. We're not going to linger like people get lost here. I began to feel the energy radiating from a distance.”

Levi opened his hardcase and picked up a radar watch. Lord Betelgeuse told the boy to wear it while he was chanting something to the watch. Levi sensed the energy that flowed into the watch. Energy that feels cold. When he finished, Levi looked at his watch with a gawking face. He felt nothing had changed. “Now, that radar can detect the presence of asteroid debris. The closer we get, the clearer the radar will be. Right now, the waves still haven't detected, but as we move you'll find out.”

“Learnest. You don't even use the methods of quantum physics.”

“Of course because I'm a lord.” Lord Betelgeuse puffed out his chest. Shortly after, he told Levi to get ready because the man was going to call a new vehicle. Two mystical komodo tails. On the backs of the animals are already attached chairs and small tents that are made of cloth as if it were their clothes. “The olive is called Juliet and the dark gray is called Romeo. They're a couple of lovers.”

“What the fuck?!”

Lord Betelgeuse immediately played his index finger towards Levi and made the boy not protest by flying him over Juliet's back. His head was bumped into one of the seats, angering him up into the crown. He was about to throw another syringe at Lord Betelgeuse in succession, but the intention was undone when he saw the Fallen Angel was instructing something to the Komodo dragon. Strange language that he did not understand. One thing is certain, the Komodo dragon suddenly moved quickly in the front direction.

“We will search for a hidden kingdom. Invincible Kingdoms. Asteroid Gold is stored there. Merely, the existence of the place was truly like the wind. However, we need not worry. The energy I've given your watch will react when it collides with the asteroid's radiant energy. In fact, now that energy has begun to feel, even though it is weak.” Lord Betelgeuse spoke loudly.

“Ah, I was expecting to end up boring. After all, you could have gone by yourself, Lord. Why need my help?”

The man laughed out loud. “Of course because I want to help you, Stupid. Your abilities will come in handy when we get close to that asteroid fragment,” he explained while winking one eye. “Again, I honestly don't like being alone.”

“Your reason alone, Your Majesty,” rebut Levi. “Say you're bored and need a talkative!”

“You turned out to be a fan who understands his idol, yes,” his god. Without waiting for the explosion from within Levi's soul to come out, Lord Betelgeuse continued his talk. “Only, you're one of those things, Levi. Although this place is deserted, it does not mean there are no enemies. You should realize, this desert is like the ocean. The horror is in.”

As Levi thought of the Malice Island ruler's words, something rang from his radar watch. The watch detected a presence near them. Levi's face instantly as young.“I found something. We're close to the splinter.”

The Eyebrow of Lord Betelgeuse. That can't be happening. If they are close to the asteroid debris, their energy will be absorbed and feel an uncomfortable sensation. However, he had not felt anything right now. Something is wrong. “Say where it is.”

“Dodging!”

The warning sound made Levi flinch and reflex jump. He witnessed how a giant claw split the bodies of two mystical dragons who did not even have time to issue a reaction. Like paper. There was a blaring angry growl accompanied by sand scattering like a storm during the day. Levi put on his glasses so as not to get dust and tried to survive the strong impulse. After that momentary sandstorm subsided, he looked up at the face with an undefined feeling. In fact, his entire body felt trembling. A big creature. The upper part is a burly human, but the arms and lower body are black scorpions. Its tail is very pointed which harbors deadly poison.

“Monster this .…”

“King of scorpions,” Lord Betelgeuse makes a sound. “I didn't expect him you'd face.”

“I?” levi asked confusedly. He turned back, not finding the man by his side. “Lord Betelgeuse, where are you?”

“Above you, Nak.”

Levi's two eyes glared at the sight of the man sitting leisurely on the floating throne chair. He waved at Levi with a psychopathic smile. Just then, Levi realized Lord Betelgeuse had deliberately left him alone with the scorpion demon. “Sneaky basics! You deliberately become a spectator.”

Lord Betelgeuse laughed, satisfied. Then he clapped his hands. “Consider this punishment for daring to harm me, Levi Strauss,” he explained. “After all, the monster won't wait for you to stop getting angry, you know.”

Levi gritted his molars. He wanted to vent his true anger, but the words of the fallen angel were true. The scorpion demon again howled loudly. In the blink of an eye, the monster galloped towards Levi with both claws opened. “Sial, I have no choice,” said Levi, he pulled his suit. With adrenaline ridden, Levi activated the button on the alchemy glove and immediately placed both of his hands onto the sandy floor. “Transmutation Activated!”

The radiant glow of energy made the surrounding sand gather, solidify, and turn into a violent object. Like stone. “Stone Wall.” A fairly large stone wall blocks the deadly claw attack of a stealth scorpion. The collision that occurred caused a great vibration. Levi held back so much that the claw did not penetrate his defenses, while above the sky Lord Betelgeuse presented a black parrot that was currently shouting cheers like a cheerleader. “Bacot! Even your pets are just as annoying!”

The stone wall defense that was expected to fend off the scorpion's sabitan, did not last long. A crack is created that directly gives Levi painful impulses. The boy was pushed back quickly. While enduring the pain, Levi did not run out of sense. He pointed his hands towards the sand, turning it into a foothold so that he could jump higher. Then, he created a giant sand fist. With a tempestuous cry, Levi struck the scorpion's claw. Collision inevitable. However, the power that the demon possessed was greater than what he thought. Levi's sandbox broke, making him bounce back. Like a falling meteor, Levi hit the ground. He grimaced in pain as he got up and stood up. Levi threw out a spit. “There is no other way, I will use that,”.

Levi flicked his suit and opened a pocket on his waist. The boy took a tube containing a green compound. Alchemical gloves drain the energy into the tube, and Levi throws it quickly into the scorpion's stealth. “Wind Creation: Isomer 35 Type I.”

When the tube breaks, the green compound turns into a windstorm. The wind swarmed over the scorpion who roared furiously. Levi smirked in between his pain. He created a whirlwind. Although not too big, at least the wind managed to devour the body of the monster. At least that's what Levi thought. However, when he realized that there were no visible howls and reactions, the boy soon realized something was wrong. The demon was not in the whirlwind. Levi turned around watching his surroundings with a sense of anxiety. In his panic, he recalled Lord Betelgeuse's earlier words.

… The horror is there from within.

“Sial—“

Be late. Levi did not have time to dodge as a large tail with a pointed tip came out from within the silent sand. Just like that, without cue. In one powerful convulsion, Levi bounced with his back leaving a scar.
