Lord Betelgeuse’s Power

ITU ASTEROID FLAKES, despite their small size similar to adults' thumbs, when Levi was about to grasp them, an oddity occurred. It floated from the stone chest and floated on the ceiling. Levi covered his gaze as the golden rays that were emitting surged from there. It feels like a burning sensation. The asteroid fragments, which were originally small, began to grow even to the point of breaking down the roof of this room. Levi swiftly dodged from where he stood so as not to be hit by the ruins.

“Sial, the flakes alone are this big and still hold great power,” said Levi. He used his chemical abilities by forming a protector from the ground. “My protector can't last long, I have to do something.”

Without a second thought, Levi put both his hands on the ground and formed a wave. The waves from the ground tried to devour the turbulent asteroid debris, but it melted as it approached the asteroid. A moment later, waves of gilt energy gushed down everything nearby, even including Levi. The boy did not manage to hold back the energy of the Golden Asteroid and bounced back against the wall. Levi grimaced in pain and coughed.

There was blood coming out of his mouth.

“Strength once,” he said while holding the chest. “If the flakes are already this strong, how was it when it was still intact?! I won't, lose!”

Levi flicked his suit and took out all the liquid-filled bottles left in the pocket. In his heart, he was eager for the presence of Lord Betelgeuse, but the man was still fighting. The sound of collisions between the forces was still heard behind him. However, if he were to just wait for the presence of Lord Betelgeuse, things would not change. It will only end up being death. Thus, Levi threw three bottles of alchemy into the air, then turned his hands towards the objects. With one full determination, Levi exerted his final strength.

“Alchemist Combination: Volcano.”

When the alchemy ability was activated, the liquid on the bottle merged into one, forming hot incandescent lava. The lava enlarges and devours whatever is in the way. At that moment Levi was stunned, unable to move in the slightest, even when his alchemy glove was crushed into a wreckage. Both of his hands were flushed by the extremely hot temperature. Then, when the golden beam of asteroid debris was about to strike him viciously, Levi involuntarily shed tears.

It seems like this really is the end of my life ….

“Don't I promise to protect you, Levi Strauss?”

The asteroid strike bounced off. Just now, the dense darkness formed a powerful barrier saving Levi from death. Levi flinched as he saw an angel descend from the sky. Lord Betelgeuse, at that time expanding his wings and moving one hand, from there the hands of darkness sprang up against the asteroid debris. While his one hand, was lifting up the body of a woman.

Lord Betelgeuse injured his right hand and allowed the blood to fall to the ground. While casting a spell, the blood stream formed a circle with the symbol of a fifth star. Blue flames lit up at every point in the symbol along with sounds from other realms. The voice of the dead. Lord Betelgeuse cast a spell.

“Those who are serving in Hell, are now demanding revenge and full of anger.

Eternal fire that blazes, not to muffle revenge and betrayal.

I, the King of Darkness, command. Come demand reply!”

From within the void, the sounds of the shouts of the magical realm mixed together, opening a portal. Spirits sprang up as if trying to fill the place. One by one, those summoned stood neatly behind Lord Betelgeuse. Although the asteroid flakes strike with their powerful energy, they do, instead of scattering, hitting and destroying other objects. Not far behind him, Levi tried to move his limp body so as not to be affected by the irregular energy. He struggled, until finally his feet could not be compromised. As a ruin darted towards him quickly, without even moving, it suddenly broke before hitting Levi's body. He was in disbelief when he realized that two other spirits were protecting him from death. Right now, the two spirits were sitting together with their bodies bowed as if they were shields.

“T-impossible ...”

The two spirits that were helping him at this moment displayed smiles. The smile that Levi Strauss lost. Smiles of both parents. Their spirits are called from the afterlife to this place, being the best protectors for him.

“In this way, everything will be finished.” Lord Betelgeuse. He stretched one hand forward, followed by the spirits behind him. “Dark Magic: Soul Liberation.”

The energy from the spirits flowed from the hands towards the body of Lord Betelgeuse in front of him. When everything had been gathered, Lord Betelgeuse shouted out loudly and launched an enormous attack right at the core of the fragment. The rapid deadly attack hit the asteroid debris to produce a loud sound like the sound of a high-scale nuclear explosion. No one could see it.

Long silence ….

Levi opened his eyes slowly after a few minutes of silence. The spirits of his parents once again smiled before fading away. He tried to stop them, but nothing changed until the spirit disappeared from view. Levi moved very slowly, down the building that was completely reduced to ruins. Because of the great power earlier, he had not seen the figure of Lord Betelgeuse. With stamina still remaining, Levi bellowed furiously calling out the man's name.

There's no answer.

“Lord Betelgeuse, don't joke!” his screeches. “You can't just die. You promised!”

Moments after Levi groaned with a feeling of annoyance mixed with sadness, there was a familiar amused laugh from behind the smoke. The figure approached with a gentle look. “I'm fine, Levi Strauss.”

Levi fell down, trying to hold back the tears. “Sgratitude ... thank goodness.”

The man she was looking for was still with her.
