Lake
THANN AND ADDISON only looked at the hollow expanse of the school grounds with a lethargic face. They have just been sent by Shalima for a 30 point shortfall for a fantasy hostel. It was Saturday, there were no classes. The students were busy pacing back and forth or relaxing after the talent training. Two fantasy dorm students, Sam and Ashlen, who happen to pass by greet them, but are ignored. Even Levi who passed by while talking to himself kicked Thann's leg outstretched, making the teenager almost fall down, and still ignored.
Thann cursed himself because his stupidity caught the cheesy trick of the headmaster. The colourful envelope turned normal when it was handed over to Shalima. It seems like the principal had indeed planned from the very beginning. I don't know what that means, Thann doesn't know either. Sometimes the principal is nosy and difficult to guess.
“Hey you guys, don't put on a face like that,” scolds Habibie while walking over with a smile as bright as the sun. His black dragon twitched on his shoulder as he watched Addison pull out a beautiful white lamb from the mirror.
“Fantasy hostel lost 30 points and Shalima went berserk as if we had just dropped a meteor into the school.” Addison tidied her hair with the mirror she was holding. It became a habit, in any situation, the white-haired man always paid attention to appearance. He is known for being a dandy boy throughout school, but strangely there are still many students who like him.
Thann took a long breath. “I should have guessed that the colorful envelope was the principal's trap.”
“It's okay. Relaxed. Relax, 30 points is not a big number. The sci-fi hostel had just lost 60 points because of Levi, 15 points because of me.” Habibie laughed as if it was a great achievement. If Shalima had heard them say that, Addison and Thann would have been covered in roots and buried alive. The whole school already knows how Shalima is obsessed with being the best at anything, even though he himself once made the fantasy dormitory lose its point.
“It feels like moving to a sci-fi dormitory only. If our hostel prefect were like you, my teenage years would be perfect,” complained Addison while swinging his arms to call his sheep who was playing a romp with the Habibie dragon.
“What are you doing on this stocky school page?” scream Mevel from the second floor. The boy stood on the edge of the barrier with his robe fluttering in the wind.
Habibie, Thann, and Addison set out to see the man who called them. “Not he just told us to wait here?” ask Addison while standing up.
Mevel shook her head and lifted her clover umbrella. He starts to push the divider while stretching out both hands for the balance regulator. “No! I told you to wait at Lakevender earlier.”
“You just said wait here.” Habibie was getting irritated.
“Hey, Dik, get down here. You will fall. Where is the principal now? What do we do to Lakavender?” addison.
“I never said that, you know. Kids never lie. I said on Lakevender.” Mevel smiled then jumped up while tightly holding her umbrella. “See you at Lakevender.” He did not fall, instead flying using the green umbrella away from the school yard.
“That boy sucks once!” annoyed Habibie.
“Together with the principal,” added Thann.
Thann, Addison, and Habibie finally arrive at Lakevender. The ever-changing lake was now orange, exactly the color of Mevel's robes, making them even more upset.
“Where is the principal? Don't tell me the boy pranked us,” Habibie said as he ruffled his waist on a rock by the lake. His orange mission robe fluttered in the gentle lake breeze. The sun had just risen on the horizon, making its surface sparkle beautifully in the light.
Addison took out the portable fan he borrowed from Tristian from the mission bag. In addition, he carries a mini umbrella, sunscreen, combs, perfume, beach hat, and other trifles. The equipment is like a vacation, not running a secret mission. Habibie and Thann who saw that just put on a strange face and did not comment anything.
“The freshness of this mini fan, like the wind of heaven. I should apply sunscreen too if I don't want my skin to burn.” Addison took out a white sunscreen with the brand ambassador of an angelic royal lord who bears the name of darkness. It does not fit with his title and reputation.
Thann and Habibie try to ignore Addison. The two teenagers were busy looking around the lake to find Mr. Navarre.
“You don't want to wear sunscreen, Habibie? Look at your skin, it looks brown and dull because it's not a treatment.” Addison thrust sunscreen at Habibie with a brilliant smile.
Habibie looked irritatedly at Addison. “My skin is brown not because of not care, but because it has been since birth like that. Though you're the son of the Sun God, you may be afraid of the sun. Your skin should be pale like that. Strange base!”
“There is no relationship of my personality with my father! After all, you should respect me because my father is your god. Automatically, I am also your god.”
“Because I am from Egypt means that I automatically worship the gods of Ancient Egypt. Your father's time of worship is over.”
“To here you guys, the principal is waiting!” Mevel shouted by bringing her two tiny hands close to her face.
“We can't get there, Dik,” reply Addison. “And I don't want to dirty my new uniform with this lake water,” he added in a slower voice.
Mevel just smiled and showed Thann. Habibie and Addison immediately understood what the boy meant.
Why should I? thann said inwardly as he took out his wings. A pair of wings as black as night grew on Thann's back. Thann flapped his wings once and his body shot up into the air. Habibie and Addison jumped up and held on to the angel's legs. For a while, Thann lost his balance before darting towards the lake.
Habibie and Addison landed first on the floor of the boat, followed by Thann. The boat loses balance for a while when it gets an extra load suddenly. “Where is the principal?” habibie asked as she spread out her left hand and the dragon landed on her arm.
“On the opposite side?” Mevel shows the origin.
“Around where?”
“People on the opposite side.”
“I'm not kidding!” Habibie was getting impatient.
Addison immediately blocked Habibie. He lowered the Mevel head covering and spoke softly. “We don't want to play, Dik. There is a special mission we have to complete. Later after the jam mission, I will play with you.” Although Addison was a bit strange, he had a fatherly soul and was always patient with the boy.
“On the opposite side. I'm not lying. The principal is waiting on the opposite side of the portal and I have the task of delivering you there.”
“Here no portal, Dik.” Addison kept his voice intonated.
Mevel smiled. “If you are reading the history of Maple Island, you know what I mean.” Mevel stood up and gave two Hello Kitty fans to Thann and Habibie.
“Do not picture this again,” said Thann with a lethargic face receiving a pink-colored fan. Looks like he was traumatized to see the cute cartoon cat.
“What is this for?” habibie asked with an increasingly irritated face.
“Dayung,” answer Mevel briefly. “You can simply fan it to the back of the boat as hard as possible.” After saying that, Mevel faced the front of the boat then spread out both hands. A while later, a large magic circle was imprinted on the surface of the lake. Addison, Thann, and Habibie knew it was a glowing green magic circle that the principal often used as a portal.
“Now!” mevel shouted along with the appearance of a giant hole on the surface of the lake.
Thann and Habibie swung the little fan with all their might. A fierce wind blow directly out of the fan, giving momentum to the boat to go at high speed.
“We'll plunge!” habibie shouted with her dragon that was shaking in fear.
“One more paddle, stronger!” mevel command.
Habibie and Thann swung the fan simultaneously with all their might. The violent wind instantly rolled like a tornado. The boat flew at high speed towards the hole in front of them. Mevel and Addison at the front of the boat only laughed as the boat swooped in and plunged freely to the bottom of the lake.
“We will die hitting the bottom of the lake!” habibie shouted in panic.
“That's fun! Yuhuuu ...” cried Addison.
“Why should I be stuck with these freaks!” rutuk Habibie in the midst of the roar of water and wind.
I just want to go home, Thann just complains inwardly.
