Luccane

Luccane
Chapter 21: The Voice of the Bearer of Disaster

"Sooner or later, you must die at my hands, Vishabea! If I can't have Luccane then don't ever dream of continuing with him, lowly man!"

I look at the ghost of Dutch Noni, it's good that she says I'm a lowly human being!

"If you were a lowly human like me then I would be happy to take you to hell!" I shouted back to make Luccane dumbfounded.

"Why are you harassing people who obviously don't bother you, Jolanda?" asked Luccane trying to talk nicely with the ghost of the Widow who was already fiery by emotion.

The widow turned, looking at Luccane with an equally sharp highlight.

"didn't it be clear that I wanted you more than anything, Luccane? why did you choose that girl?!"

"I can't control my feelings, Widow! I beg you not to hurt Vishabea, he has absolutely nothing to do with our past" Luccane said, trying to remain calm.

The real pretty Widow's eyes looked so horrible because of the grudge that enveloped her. His eyes were as sharp as a new sword ready to hurt anyone who dealt with him.

My whole body was shaking due to the amount of negative energy emanating from Jolanda.

The young woman's ghost harbored too many grudges and various other negative feelings on the day of her death to make her die of curiosity.

That enormous negative energy made my breath feel tight, my neck felt suffocated so strongly that I had trouble catching my breath. It was this negative energy from Jolanda that made me sick for the past week.

Jolanda shook her head, smiling cunningly as she looked at me with vengeance.

"can't, Luccane! I need to make sure he dies at my hands as soon as possible!"

My body felt completely limp, like it was losing all my energy without any rest. My gaze clouded, but I could vaguely see the pale face of the Widow who looked at me with vengeance.

Even so, I don't feel daunted at all.

I love Luccane and Luccane loves me too, why should I give up on him?

"If you really want to kill me, then I want to send you to hell too, Widow!"

With slow steps, I forced myself to keep walking in front of Jolanda.

Then I loudly recited the prayers in a voice before him, making Jolanda cry hysterically.

I was also undaunted, and the louder my voice chanted His words to drive away the Widow, not caring about the cold sweat that kept pouring out of her pores.

"Wait for my vengeance, Vishabea!" screamed the widow who finally disappeared somewhere.

My breath was wheezing, my weak feet falling down just like that on the floor.

In a soft voice, I chanted the name of the Lord asking for protection from Him the creator of all life.

"Luccane, I don't think I can stay silent. It can only drive away the Widow for a while I'm sure she will come back soon and disturb me or even really make my life float," I said with an irregular breath.

Luccane grabbed my hand, pulled my body slowly and helped me up.

He looked at me with a look of regret, as if he was starting to blame himself for what was happening to me right now.

"I'm sorry, Vishabea... I love you so much that I try to force my will to stay together when obviously we are different" Luccane said in a limp voice.

Without a second thought I immediately grabbed onto Luccane's tall body, carrying him into my arms.

"Really, Luccane, I don't care! As long as I can touch you, you're still my lover."

...****************...

"Lo don't have to go to college first, about absent affairs let me just take care of it," Carly said by phone early in the morning before I even got out of my bed.

For a few minutes we talked, he insisted on not allowing me to go to college today because I was too worried about my health condition.

Even the other classmates also compactly sent me a short message containing a ban for me not to enter college first today.

"Well, what will be the task?" I'm saying I don't take it for granted.

"Oh yeah, calm down! We will all immediately info if there is a task today. Yes, I want to get ready to go to a special campus today you rest first yes, bye!"

I sighed fretfully, while Luccane who was sitting on the bench of my study desk chuckled slightly at the frenzied interaction between me and Carly.

"Everything, you were born in the same year as me, surely your life will feel better" I said as I opened a magazine about male KPop idols.

Luccane chuckled. "and if it could be like that of course I would too, but all that has become God's destiny line where we can disturb the challenge."

I smiled faintly, nodding in agreement with what Luccane had said.

It's a pity that this overly handsome and intelligent boy must lose his life before he can do great things in his life.

"You're very wise. If only that soul mate could be chosen of course I would happily choose to be your soul mate," my clumsily tried to warm the atmosphere even though my body still felt very tired and heavy because of the negative energy from Jolanda yesterday.

"Don't tease me" Luccane said quickly as he moved to the end of my bed.

"We have to start doing things to get rid of Jolanda's interference, right?" luccane added with a more serious face.

I almost forgot about the important thing because I was too happy to see Luccane's face blushing after hearing a flutter from me.

"What should we do first, Luccane?" I was worried when I imagined how terrible the figure of Jolanda was.

"It is with a heavy heart that I have to say this, you can meet and ask Meneer Kerkoof anything about Jolanda because since she became a ghost she has often been in contact with Jolanda either in what context," luccane.

"I can't go to college today. Do you know how to call Meneer Kerkoof without having to go to college?"

Luccane rubbed his pointy chin with his index finger, thinking seriously about finding the best solution for me this time.

"Ah, I know! You can call Meneer Kerkoof with one of the Dutch he really likes" Luccane said enthusiastically.

"Don't I know I don't speak Dutch?" I was cynical with a sour face.

"Then you have to go to the barn, Visha. There is a gramophone along with several collections of vinyl records containing Dutch songs owned by Papa. Just turn it on in the living room while continuing to call out his name," Luccane explained patiently.

I nodded in understanding, shuffling towards the warehouse that was once Luccane's room with an old key that I found in my closet.

Without hesitation I opened the door of the room. The sound of the door rattling was heard later, the sign of the room was almost untouched for decades.

The smell of dampness and dust greeted my sense of smell, while my sense of sight was faced with darkness.

"Where's the light switch, Luccane?" ask the owner of the room.

"The light switch is on your left, Visha."

Relying on my hand, I began fumbling through the walls of Luccane's room that felt so cold and damp that I managed to find the light switch I was looking for.

I felt astonished after clearly seeing the shape of Luccane's room. The room was very neat with minimalist decorations that impressed masculine.

On the right side of the room, I could see a medium-sized figura containing a photo of Luccane sitting on a chair in a suit neatly wrapped around his body.

Luccane looks so handsome in the photo, making me take the figura enthusiastically without caring about Luccane's ramblings who feel ashamed of the photo.

On the study table, I could see a small figura with a picture of Luccane as a child wearing a short-sleeved white shirt. Even though the two photos are black and white, I can imagine how handsome Luccane is in the photo.

"You've even been handsome since you were a child, Luccane," I praised as I gently rubbed the small, dust-covered figura thick enough.

"Where is it possible that I am beautiful" she said shyly to make me laugh.

After getting the gramophone and the required disc, I swiftly installed it according to the instructions from Luccane.

"Hopefully the old thing can still work properly" Luccane murmured after I managed to install the disc on top of the gramophone.

Not long ago, a Dutch song that I did not understand melodious singing from the gramophone. Luccane looked at me, gesturing.

I hurriedly lit a candle, placed it on the table in front of the gramophone playing Meneer Kerkoof's beloved Dutch song.

"Meneer Kerkoof, come here." I muttered with my eyes closed.

Moments later, I could smell the unfamiliar fragrance of flowers coming closer to me.

"Well, I can't believe Mevrouw Vishabea will call me even sooner than I thought."
