Victory in Life
Chapter 645

Jasper decided to order only three dishes and one soup because they were just the two of them. He also chose a common dish that was relatively cheaper.

Not because Jasper was frugal. It was just that food and drink were the only things he would not compromise on. According to him, a person does not become rich by saving but by earning. However, being wasteful is also unforgivable.

The waiter who served them was not too happy with this.

"These two large sized men wanted to eat when they came to Waterhoof City? These are all cheap dishes that don't even cost 200 Somer Dollars. It's so ticklish."

The waiter had a thick accent belonging to the citizens of Waterhoof City. Coupled with their sarcastic tone, it instantly made those listening feel uncomfortable.

"We both can't eat that much at once. Please just present what I ordered," Jasper said calmly.

"Foreigner," the waiter muttered annoyedly to themselves before they turned around and walked away.

"Jasper, that waitress has a bad attitude," Julian frowned as he spoke to Jasper.

Since becoming one of Jasper's men, Julian has often attended lavish events. He might be a bodyguard, but the servants would serve him enthusiastically. The more luxurious the place, the higher the quality of service provided. He is rarely looked down upon, unlike what is often written in novels.

So, Julian was already used to such treatment and became dissatisfied when he was suddenly faced with the attitude of the servant.

Jasper smiled as he said, "Isn't this what usually happens in this country? No need to take revenge on him. We just came to eat."

The higher Jasper's position in society, the better his emotions. He couldn't be bothered, he didn't even have time to deal with those who were all levels below him.

They may all be human, but their time is valued differently.

Jasper earned, at the very least, a million dollars a day, while these servants received salaries of less than 2,000 dollars a month. Moreover, they work in Waterhoof City. How can they be compared to each other?

However, Julian's patience gradually runs out when he realizes that no Jasper dishes are served despite those who come after they finish eating, pay their bills, and leave.

Both seem to be ignored. No one noticed them for an entire hour.

No one said anything, but Jasper knew it must have been done by the waiter who thought they were ordering too little food.

Jasper frowned.

He could ignore these people, but their attitude would destroy the reputation of the Golden Path Pedestrian, which would in turn affect his income.

"Julian," said Jasper calmly.

"Bring the owner here."

Julian, who had been unable to stand for a long time, suddenly stood up and went down the stairs.

Immediately, a commotion sounded downstairs. Later, Julian climbed the stairs with a man in his 30s. The man's arrogance and impatience were clearly visible on his face as he walked.

"Are you the owner here?" ask Jasper.

"Say." The expression on the restaurant owner's face was impatient.

"First, your attitude is very problematic. Second, we arrived first, but why has our meal not been served after more than an hour while those who came after us have finished eating and left? What's your explanation for that?" Jasper asked calmly.

"You two ordered only four dishes. What the hell, don't come to eat on the Golden Street Pedestrians if you're poor. Who are you guys pretending for? Foolish strangers, I command them not to serve you. Do you guys want to eat? Sure, you'll have to wait two hours. Come out if you're impatient!"
