While gulping, Zack licked his dry lips and tried his hardest to stop his voice from shaking "Since this morning the Hansel Index has dropped by 3,000 points and the 15 billion we invest into a total of 29.6 billion"
"Only in one day do we make 14.6 billion!"
"Stock god! Mr. Laine, you really are the god of stocks!"
Zack trembled as he spoke.
At the same time, the stock traders in the room all looked at Jasper with gazes full of admiration, as an executor who was just following his orders, they know better than anyone how assertive and intellectual Jasper commands.
Many of his seemingly inexplicable orders have proven to have unparalleled foresight, as the ever-changing capital markets shift in a very short time thereafter.
It was as if Jasper could see every secret in this dangerous capital market.
Jasper, whose expression had been serious for the past few hours, finally smiled and said, "Well let's eat something, now the market is resting, drinking and whatever good food you want, no matter what you want, and if there's anything you need just tell them and they'll fulfill it!"
"Oh, and everyone gets a 100,000 bonus."
The stock traders immediately laughed out loud at the news.
Meanwhile, Jasper and the others went to eat upstairs.
Both Michael and Henry continued to stare at Jasper as they ate, for Jasper seemed as divine to them as God Himself.
"How are you so good at this?" Anna spoke honestly.
Jasper just smiled. "really? It's too early to say anything, we're just getting started."
Zachary heard it and asked, "When do you think the Hansel Index will stop going down?"
Jasper thought for a moment and tried to remember the consequences of the financial crisis in his past life.
As many as three trillion US dollars disappeared in this bubble.
That's how scary that is.
On the other hand, the Hansel Index dropped to 8,000 points.
To explain this concept with a simple example, imagine you invested 100 dollars into the stock market before the bubble, when the bubble ended, you would have less than 40 dollars.
If you happen to invest in a bankrupt company and have to exit the market, then you will be left without a single cent.
Such is the cruel reality of the financial markets.
"It's impossible to hold on to 10,000 points, I say it'll drop past 9,000 at least." Jasper gave a more conservative answer.
Zachary and Michael shared a glance and took a cold breath.
They understood what the numbers Jasper had given them meant.
Such a figure means that the Harbor City economy will lose at least five years of economic growth.
"Why is your expression that? don't we get more if it goes down?" Henry asked stupidly.
Anna glared at him and replied, "That's why I told you to read more in your spare time, of course we'll get more if it goes down further"
"But you have to remember that our family and Mr. Laine's family are both rooted in Harbor City, how can business families like ours continue to make money when the Harbor City economy is in turmoil?"
Henry was astonished and quickly replied, "You're right what are we going to do?"
Jasper was deep in thought.
He was just an observer who could only watch what happened after it happened in his past life, he only learned of the economic crisis that exploded afterwards through reports.
But to experience it firsthand now, he could sense that there was an invisible hand controlling this financial crisis.
Someone seems to have deliberately destroyed the economy of Harbor City.
"Hare Harbor can go down, the trend is like that, there's no way anyone can keep it now with how the bubble is enlarged, but that doesn't mean the Harbor City economy can be destroyed" Jasper said.
He had the intention to invest in Harbor City, because his future development would definitely bring unimaginable profits and returns, therefore how could he let someone destroy the Harbor City economy?
"The city of Harbor must not be destroyed ..."
