That one phone call was enough to bring Jeremy down into a deep abyss.
He had no idea how someone who had appeared out of nowhere could tear apart the project he had gotten for himself.
Such people are either insane people who are very good at acting, or they are completely legal.
Jeremy glanced at Bentley parked behind Jasper and gulped. He felt a chill run through his body.
Can a madman drive a Bentley?
Moreover, based on what had just happened, it was clear that this man was Wendy's current boyfriend and the son of the peasant woman whom she had just laughed at!
Jeremy is very assertive when he realizes that he is in big trouble. He immediately knelt down in front of Jasper and said, "Sorry, I failed to recognize your talent. I look down on you because my own views are wrong!"
"I have a mouth too big for my own liking!"
"But the project is the lifeline of our family. None of us went through the back door, everything was done right through bidding. Please forgive me this time."
Jeremy spoke with despair, sincerity and the expression of apology on his face was not at all fake.
Jasper watched Jeremy's performance calmly and waited for him to finish before he said, "Alright. I'll investigate whether you got the project legally through bidding or not."
"If you get this project through bidding, I won't oppose you. However, if bribery is involved, not only will the person receiving the bribe face imprisonment, but you will also suffer the consequences as the person initiating the bribe."
Jeremy's expression changed when he heard what Jasper said.
"Who are you?" Jeremy asked confusedly while raising his head to look at Jasper.
"You don't have a right to know who I am yet." When Jasper finished the sentence, he ignored Jeremy and turned to walk to Sally. He asked, "Mom, are you okay?"
Sally shook her head and said, "I'm fine."
Jasper grabs Wendy's hand and drives Sally back to the car. Julian, who was behind them, stood in front of Jeremy with a cold expression on his face as he said, "Didn't you say it was an impressive achievement that you managed to get a contract in the Southface River project?"
"He's in charge of the Southface River project."
Julian did not look at Jeremy's pale face before he turned around and left.
Jeremy couldn't stand up even after Bentley left. The expression on his face pouted as he thought about how his world would collapse around him.
Immediately, two vans stopped in front of Jeremy and several men jumped out. The leader runs to Jeremy and is shocked when he sees Jeremy's predicament.
"Mr Morris, what happened to you? Where's the guy who hit you? Don't worry, I've brought all my people with me. I'll make sure justice is on your side."
Jeremy was not trying to explain anything to these thugs and could only murmur, "Damn it, it's over me. My whole family is over. What am I supposed to do?"
The man who was the leader of the thugs was puzzled, but he could slightly guess what happened from what Jeremy said.
Could Jeremy have angered the wrong person today?
This immediately caused the man to be wary. The way he looked at Jeremy immediately became less cordial as he asked in a probing tone, "Young Master Morris, should we leave now that they are also gone?"
Jeremy shuddered and seemed to regain consciousness as he glared at the man. He shouted, "What compensation? I let you eat and drink everything you want but you're asking me to pay now even if you don't do anything when I'm in trouble? Do you think my money grows on trees?"
"Buck you all free eaters! Would I be in this mess today if you didn't surround me and drag me into chaos? Fuck those! You all go!"
The expression on the man's face grew uglier as he was reviled in front of his men. He glared at Jeremy as he said, "Morris, I show respect to you by calling you Mr. Morris today. If I didn't want to do it, would you believe me if I said I'd chop you to death?"
"You have to pay for our trip here today whether you want to or not! Or else don't blame me for being disrespectful."
Jeremy looked at the man in front of him and his men who were looking at him greedily. He felt his vision go dark.
Jeremy's problem isn't important to Jasper.
However, this triggers that there is a big problem hidden in real estate agents.
Just like how the problem was found in the investment firm when he went up against the Hull family. However, the problems found in real estate agents seem to be more serious.
"Jasp, what are you thinking?" Wendy sat down on the chair after she returned home, and she saw Jasper sitting on her desk with a furious expression on her face.
He has maintained that posture for almost half an hour since they returned from the supermarket.
"I was thinking whether the real estate agent problem was a big deal or not" Jasper replied.
Wendy frowned when she heard that. You mean the case of Jeremy bribing employees and getting projects through the back door might not be an isolated case?"
"Isolated case?"
Jasper smile.

When corruption happens, it may be a collection of cases of the kind where you only need to find one case before you find the rest.
"Real estate agents may be new companies, but most middle and upper managers are moved away from the Schuler Group. This new company would be the perfect place for these experienced people to rise from adversity."
Jasper said calmly, "After all, your father has been running the Schuler Group for over ten years. There will be far fewer gaps there. But real estate agents are different. New businesses need a new set of rules. The cunning ones would easily find a loophole in their favor."
Wendy frowned as she said angrily, "My father just transferred the people he trusted to their real estate agents"
Jasper replied calmly, "Take the higher-ups like Sean Tucker, for example. He would not engage in such matters for very little profit, but what about those at the middle management level? You need to understand that middle-level management is what really forms the foundation of a company."
"If something goes wrong there, it will be much harder to deal with than if one or two higher-ups got in trouble."
"So what are you planning?" ask Wendy.
"We cannot be soft in dealing with corruption within the company. No compromise or doubt is allowed. We have to deal with problems the way they present themselves." Jasper massaging
his temple as he smiled at Wendy and said, "But tomorrow is the last day of work. Everyone will have winter break from tomorrow. Let's talk about this after New Year."
