Hendrik replied sincerely, "It is my responsibility as a parent to teach my sons what is right and wrong. Peace is important to us business people. Add friends enemy business reduced."
"It looks like you're interested in thriving in the media and entertainment industry, Mr. Laine. How about this. Since I'm doing business in the same field, can we agree on a time and talk about it in person?"
"We plan to hold a large banquet to celebrate the Capital Swallow being approved to host the Olympics. We can talk about this, Mr. Laine, and your company can host this banquet if you're interested."
Jasper thought about it, and Hendrik did not speak anymore. Instead, he waited quietly for Jasper's reply.
This may seem like silence but in fact, Jasper and Hendrik are both testing each other out. Basically, if Jasper responds, then it means he has no desire to fight the Combe family beyond the point of reconciliation.
This is the adult world. Love and hate do not exist, because everything is just a profit transaction.

This was something Jasper and Hendrik were very aware of.
A moment later, Jasper chuckled and replied, "I'd be a fool if I didn't accept your offer given your compromise, Mr. Combe. How about tomorrow?"
Hendrik smiled. "All right then, tomorrow night. I'll pick you up and Mr. Law, then. It just so happened that I attended the gala tomorrow night and most of the people present were people in the industry. We can get to know each other better."
Jasper gave a polite but noncommittal answer before hanging up.
"What does Combe want?" ask Henry.
Jasper replied weakly, "To overcome hatred, perhaps."
Jasper laughs. "She planned to make me host a celebratory party for the capital Swallow hosting the Olympics in return for releasing her son's son. It may not seem like a scam, but he wants to announce it at the gala tomorrow night at all times and places. Don't you think that's weird?"
Henry frowned. "Most people would beg to keep it a secret, so why would he want to announce it at a gala? Is he crazy?"
Anna interjected, "From what I know, the host for the celebration party is most likely already decided. After all, this was a boon to the host's fame and fortune. Everyone will fight for it no matter what. Especially when it's about something as big as Capital Swallow being approved to host the Olympics."
"The one who has been decided is likely to attend, and you will be targeted tomorrow night."
Jasper nodded at Anna's analysis. "That's what I think too."
"What the fuck?! The Combe brothers' parents are even harder to deal with than their foolish children. How could he be so vile? How insolent he is." Henry's upset.
"Quiet."
Jasper Stopped Henry.
"This is still a guess. Even if this was the truth, it was still a hidden plan. Unless, we go straight up against him and we face the fight head-on."
"Hendrik's point is that they'll split the profits, but whether we take them or not will depend on our own abilities. There's no way he can take it back even if we don't manage to get it because the Combe family has been taken out of the equation with this incident alone."
Henry's expression became furious. "Isn't this letting it go is too light? We don't even benefit from this at all!"
Jasper narrowed his eyes. "The world is not as good as we imagine. It won't be easy for him to shift the blame."
