Chapter 31 The Sacrifice of Sayaka

"After what Ken did to you. And now you are so easily back to him?." Mayumi muttered full of disappointment in her heart.

Mayumi then leaves Sayaka and Ken to find Safety Officer, Mayumi is really not exhausted with Sayaka's attitude that is so unstable,  everything he worked for with Chiharu and the others felt completely meaningless.

With great difficulty, Mayumi finally met with the Safety Officer who turned out to be with Firman, Mayumi then surprised to see Firman holding a piece of the last warning letter from the Safety Officer.

"May I see the letter of the Word?" ask Mayumi limp.

With a sweet smile, Firman then handed the letter to Mayumi telling her that every meeting there would be a farewell.

Mayumi bowed lethargic while reading the letter, this time she was really confused what to do because the rules on this ship were very firm. Then Mayumi looked at the Safety Officer with a clear face hoping there was a policy for the Word.

"Is there no policy for the Word sir?" Mayumi said.

"I'm sorry, the CCTV footage clearly shows that the Word was assaulting and persecuting." Saying Safety Officer.

"But didn't Word get into a fight with Ken?" mayumi asked curiously.

"Everything is seen in the CCTV footage, Ken is not once seen making any meaningful retaliation, so this is the Word's fault entirely." Said the Safety Officer while leaving Mayumi and Firman.

"I'm sorry Mayu. maybe this is the end of our togetherness." Say the sad Word.

"Stupid!. You're really stupid." Pekik Mayumi while hugging the Word so tightly.

However, Mayumi had to recant the departure of the Word from the Ship, because Mayumi herself could not do anything else.

"Help me pack yuk.. tomorrow morning I'll leave this ship." Say the Word while pinching Mayumi's cheeks trying to comfort her.

"Are you really going to leave me?" Mayumi was sad.

"Of course I won't leave you.. Is this world only as big as this ship?" Said the Word while wiping Mayumi's tears.

"Promise yes, we will meet again." Mayumi.

"I won't promise that we'll see each other again, but I swear I'll be with you until the end of our lives." Word convinced Mayumi.

Mayumi after hearing the Word, making her excited and happy again as before, now she feels that the Word will not leave her even if they are not together on the ship anymore.

"Let's go, I'll help you pack." Mayumi said as she wiped her tears.

After Mayumi arrived at Firman's room, she contacted someone at the Open Deck where the Party was held to tell Chiharu and the others to come to Firman's room immediately.

Shortly after, Chiharu and Naomi arrive at Firman's room, Mayumi explains to her two friends that Firman will be sent home tomorrow for getting into a fight with Ken before,  Chiharu and Naomi were shocked to hear the news.

Mayumi also explains to the two of them that Sayaka is back to Ken after Sayaka believes Ken's charade of pretending to be suicidal.

"Well then.it may be like a misleading labyrinth." Chiharu.

"Let Dinda be the substitute now, and we'll just watch it." Mayumi then.

Fernando, who was asked by Dinda to accompany him, is now drunk and Dinda must help him to return to his room,  on that occasion Fernando who was still in a state of unconsciousness, even tried to seduce Dinda who was beside him.

But Dinda is not a cheap woman who will easily fall in love with a Man, she kindly tries to resist the seduction and temptation of Fernando who became the idol of many women on board,  even with his initiative he asked an assistant chef to find him coconut water, which he would give to Fernando to come back to his senses.

After Dinda escorts Fernando to his room, he quickly searches for Sayaka and the others around the gangway, until accidentally when Dinda passes the Crew Mess he finds Sayaka sitting alone with Ken,  of course this made him half-dead shocked, but this time he did not choose to crash them back then.

Dinda just passed by in front of them while picking up a glass of juice that happened to be in front of the table where Ken and Sayaka were alone. Ken and Sayaka were surprised to see Dinda there.

But Dinda did not say a word, she just stared at the cynics of the two of them and just passed, Sayaka who felt bad immediately stood up and tried to chase after Dinda who had passed, and who had gone by,  but Dinda who was really disappointed chose to hide from Sayaka's pursuit and let it pass.

Sayaka continues to search for Dinda's whereabouts, hoping to apologize to her and explain everything that happened, as Sayaka realizes that it was her fault to accept Ken back.

While Sayaka is still going around looking for Dinda, she accidentally meets Mayumi in the gangway, "Mayumi... do you know where Dinda is?" ask Sayaka.

But with a cynical face, Mayumi did not pay the slightest attention to Sayaka's question and just passed, Sayaka who was surprised by Mayumi's attitude then tried to hold her back, "Mayumi?" ask Sayaka wonder.

"Are you still asking what's wrong with me?" mayumi said cynically, then she threw the last warning letter Firman into Sayaka's face. "Read on!" Shouted Mayumi in a tone full of emotion.

At that moment Sayaka remembered that she had been asked by Mayumi to find a Safety Officer to defend the Word, "I'm sorry Mayumi.." Sayaka had not finished his words, "Plaque!." A loud slap from Mayumi leads to Sayaka's cheek and Mayumi passes away leaving Sayaka crying in the gangway.

Guilt enveloped Sayaka's heart, all mixed up into disrepute, he regretted to himself as well as his stupidity,  it was then that he suddenly recalled the figure of Tetsuya that appeared in his mind and heart.

"Darling..Where are you. Come and help me dear." His words in the heart.

But it was in vain, because Tetsuya would never come to his aid, now his greatest strength is his own regret, his,  Sayaka does not want to disappoint Mayumi and she will do various ways to save the Word.

"I have to meet the Safety Officer, no matter how the Word cannot be returned." Sayaka said in her heart.

Soon he set foot down the alley to look for the whereabouts of Jerome the Safety Officer, until finally Sayaka managed to find Jerome in the Crew Bar.

"Hello Mr. Jerome.. Can I bother you for a minute?" sayaka is friendly.

"Hmmm... What are Sayaka's needs?" ask Jerome curiously.

Sayaka then took out a letter that Mayumi had thrown and gave it to Jerome. "Please Mr. You should read this letter yourself." Sayaka.

Jerome then received the letter and read it carefully, "Oh....This is a Letter of Sacking, what is it?" ask Jerome curiously.

"I beg you not to fire the Word, and I will do anything for you." Sayaka said as she pleaded.

Jerome who had feelings for Sayaka for a long time, of course, considered this as a golden opportunity.

"Hahahahahahahahaha.Give me two drinks!" Jerome Shouts to the Bartender.

Jerome then brought his chair closer to Sayaka and began to embrace Sayaka's shoulder, "You must know what I want from you." Jerome's whisper in Sayaka's ear.

Sayaka can only resignedly get such abuse treatment from Jerome, for him at this time is able to give the best for Mayumi.
