Chapter 11 Mayu The Little Child

“Kriiiyingggggggg!!!!...............” the sound of the ship's siren rings out loud, followed by an announcement from the captain, and,  that today is a simulated drill ship sinking for all crew.

Sayaka swiftly directed the crew to head to their assembly station, while Mayumi, who was still confused by what to do, only seemed to be pacing back and forth in confusion.

Gianluca, the captain who happened to pass in front of Mayumi, reprimanded Mayumi who was confused, he asked Mayumi some questions, about Mayumi's duties during the incident on the ship, he asked Mayumi,  but Mayumi himself had difficulty explaining to the captain, because Mayumi himself was new to the ship, and this was his first drill.

The Captain only laughed at Mayumi's confused response and funny behavior, finally the Captain who was comforted, did not so scold Mayumi and called his staff to accompany the confused Mayumi.

Sayaka, who does not know where Mayumi is, becomes busy looking for Mayumi's whereabouts by searching and tracing the entire ship. Until finally when the drill is over, Sayaka finds Mayumi in the guest bathroom.

“Hey what are you doing here Mayu?“ Said Sayaka in astonishment.

“Eh... Sayaka, is the fire over?“ Mayumi asked in fear.

“Fire!  where is the fire?“ sayaka asked as he turned his head to look to the right and left.

“So I saw people wearing fire suits passing in front of me, they were running with tense faces, so I panicked and I decided to find a safe place.” Mayumi replied in a frightened tone.

Mayumi's reply made Sayaka laugh out loud, because Mayumi thought this evacuation drill was a real event.

“Why are you laughing at me... is there anything funny?“ mayumi asked with a plain face of astonishment.

“How can I not laugh, this is just a simulation... not a real event.. Then why should you hide Mayu?  and your job is as a security guard, not even to hide looking for safe.” Sayaka answered while laughing incessantly.

Sure enough, it turns out that not only Sayaka who was confused looking for Mayumi, but also the captain's staff who was assigned the captain to escort Mayumi during the simulation drill, but also the captain's staff who was assigned the captain to escort Mayumi,  because when the staff walked in front of Mayumi, to take her to the place where she was supposed to be on duty, Mayumi who was behind him disappeared suddenly.

Sayaka then recounts the incident to Naomi who happened to meet with Sayaka, and Naomipun also laughs to hear the story of Sayaka.

Now Sayaka is on his desk, one by one he sees the manifest crew on the ship, idle – prank he opened the manifest crew data owned by Ken, Ken,  and he carefully looked at Ken's face which really reminded him of Tetsuya's figure.

While Sayaka was daydreaming at Ken's photo, suddenly from behind, Mayumi patted Sayaka's shoulder, which made Sayaka surprised.

“Eh... What are you doing behind my back Mayu, did you just surprise me?“ Sayaka asked in shock and astonishment.

“I was just curious about what you were doing.. To the extent that I passed in front of you, you didn't care about me.” Mayumi replied in a spoiled tone.

“Yakah...is it really like that?“ ask Sayaka seriously.

“I'm sorry Mayu.. I was checking the manifest data of all the crew on this ship, so I concentrated too much.“ Saidaka brightly as she put her hands together in front of her chest.

“Ya... Uh, how about we go to the crew mess for lunch?  my stomach is hungry.” Take Mayumi.

“ide good... Then let's go to the crew mess.. but for a minute, I'll call Naomi and Chiharu, maybe they're not busy at this time.” Sayaka answered while reaching for the phone that was on her desk, to call Chiharu and Naomi who were working at her place – each.

Sayaka and Mayumi rush to the crew mess for lunch, in the alleyway they cross paths with Firman who is pushing the trolley towards the garbage disposal room,  this time Mayumi dared herself to say hello to Firman first.

"Hey Word, how are you today?" mayumi said kindly

“How can you know my name... have we met before?“ Ask the Word of astonishment.

“Eh... sorry, anu... i... anu.“ said Mayumi was confused.

Sayaka who saw Mayumi was confused in front of the Word, could only hold back the laughter while covering her mouth with her palm. Mayumi who was embarrassed not to play, became misbehaved and just left the Word who felt surprised by Mayu's attitude.

“Are you in love with him?“ ask Sayaka to Mayu.

“Eh…. What do you mean?“ mayumi replied timidly

“Ayolah.. do not be ashamed to admit it, from yesterday I have noticed your attitude when meeting with Firman.“ urged Sayaka

“If you really like it, I can help you kog, just relax“ Sayaka teased Mayumi.

“Really!!!“ yelled Mayumi smiling.

Sayaka smiled sweetly at Mayumi's answer, Sayaka finally realized that her best friend was in love with the Word.

Setiba at the crew mess, Sayaka and Mayumi immediately take the plate and fill it with some kind of food available there, they both take the food until their plate is full,  it's like someone who hasn't eaten for a few days.

Gandhi, who happened to be in the crew mess, saw there was an opportunity for him to be able to speak to Sayaka.

"This opportunity I won't let go, Sayaka should know

about the real Ken" he said in his heart

Gandhi approaches Sayaka, who is seen choosing her dining table.

“Sorry, introduce my name is Gandhi, I am a cabinmate of Ken. May I sit with you guys, there is an important thing I want to talk to you Sayaka.” Pinta Gandhi to Sayaka.

“Emmmm... may be, please sit with us. If you may know, what is important?” ask Sayaka curiously.

“This is related to my friend who is also a good friend of Ken, his name is Hendri, but he is on another ship.” Gandhi opened his conversation

“Meanway?  sorry I don't understand.” Sayaka answered curiously.

Chiharu who saw Gandhi already sitting together with Sayaka and Mayumi, was surprised and worried if Gandhi would say a no-no to Sayaka. Chiharu hurriedly accelerated her steps towards Sayaka's dining table.

“Hai Sayaka!.. sorry I was late, there were still many guests at my bar stand.” Chiharu said while trying to interrupt Gandhi's conversation.

“Eh Gandhi.. why are you here ?“ chiharu asked as she gestured for Gandhi to immediately go away from Sayaka.

But Gandhi ignored the gesture, choosing to turn his face away from Chiharu and seem indifferent to Chiharu's presence.
