Chapter 10 The Little Family

Sayaka is now standing alone enjoying the sea breeze at the end of the bridge, she smiles to herself thinking all her life journey full of surprises just happened. Soon Mayumi, Agnes and Fahira came from behind following Sayaka.

“Hai Sayaka, we came.” Mayumi said while carrying a package containing warm tea.

“How is your orientation today.. exhausting not ?“ sayaka asked Mayumi.

“It's so nice orientation today, I met a lot of people today, and they're quite friendly to me.” Answer Mayumi.

“Originally know, from earlier I was quite troubled to keep Mayumi from the attack of the crew who want to get acquainted with him.” said Fahira joking.

The three of them melted away in a happy atmosphere, and engaged in a quite pleasant chat.

“Mayumi, later tonight there will be a small party to welcome you, come.” Invite Sayaka to Mayumi.

“Oh yes! then who held the party... did HR friends who held it?“ Ask Mayumi.

“Not, but our country friends held it.” Bright Sayaka.

“Alright, I'm definitely coming, but pick me up yes, because I haven't memorized the places on this ship.” Answer Mayumi

“Calm down, I'll definitely pick you up, I hope you will feel at home working with me.” Bright Sayaka

Time turned into night, now Mayumi was inside her room cabin, and she was preparing to leave for her welcoming party.

‘Dug.... dug.... dug!!!!…  There was a knock on the door, Mayumi immediately opened the door of her room, and Sayaka with such a beautiful appearance had been standing in front of Mayumi's room.

“Are you ready to go?“ Sayaka asked Mayumi.

“Wow!.. You look so amazing Sayaka, you are indeed really a star, I am similar to you.” Said Mayumi who seemed amazed to see Sayaka's makeup.

“What do you mean?  you are the one who looks so beautiful amazing, be careful if later many who want to get to know you. Come on we leave soon.” Said Sayaka flattered Mayumi while inviting her to hurry to the party.

Sayaka and Mayumi cross paths with a man in the gangway, Mayumi throws her sweet smile at the man, as well as the man who returns the smile thrown by Mayumi, this time Mayumi's eyes were stunned to see the man who made her heart flutter for a moment.

“Who is the man... Do you know him Sayaka?“ Mayumi asked so curiously.

Sayaka noticed for a moment that the man was trying to recognize her.

“I don't think I know him, and the first time I met him, why?“ Sayaka asked Mayumi.

“So please, suddenly my heart is pounding.” Mayumi answered while holding her chest. Sayaka also laughed out loud, seeing Mayumi's behavior that became wrong.

Sayaka and Mayumi finally arrive at the crew bar where the welcome party is held, where they have been waiting

by Mayumi's compatriots, there were a total of 12 crew members from Japan, a very small number compared to other countries.

Chiharu welcomed Mayumi warmly, and gave her a glass of welcome drink, Mayumi received the welcome drink given by Chiharu with pleasure, the atmosphere became warm and they engaged with their respective chatter.

On that occasion, Chiharu then went to Sayaka and invited her to chat in person.

“Sayaka, I want to ask you once again... Do you really feel comfortable and happy when you are close to Ken?“ Chiharu asked in a serious tone.

“Why did you suddenly ask me such a thing... is there anything that bothered your mind Chiharu?“ Ask Sayaka wonder.

“Emmm... no, I just want to ask you.” Chiharu continued her question.

“For now, that's how I feel, I feel happy and comfortable to be by his side,  as long as I feel comfortable and happy, then I will continue.” Sayaka said with a smile.

“Alright if that is what you feel, then I will support you. As long as it's good for you.” said Chiharu then hugged Sayaka suddenly.

Sayaka was surprised by Chiharu's attitude, who suddenly hugged her, of course this made a question in her heart, as if something was hidden from Chiharu to her,  but Sayaka tries to keep a positive mind to Chiharu.

Sayaka then introduces Mayumi to Chiharu, Sayaka explains to Chiharu, that Mayumi was a friend during her school days, and their relationship is very close. The atmosphere of the night was so warm and family-friendly, although they came from many different regions of Japan.

After the welcome party, Sayaka, Chiharu, Mayumi and Naomi stopped by for a moment to open the deck, they wanted to get to know each other better. Again in the gangway, Mayumi passed the man she was

meet before, and like before, Mayumi could not hide her misdeeds.

Naomi who had from earlier noticed the movements of Mayumi, who was misbehaving the man, immediately rebuked Mayumi at that moment.

“Hay Mayu, why do you seem so misbehaved.. Is there something wrong with the Word?” Reprimand Naomi while patting Mayumi on the shoulder.

“Hah!… Oh no, I just feel weird with his uniform, because it is very different from the other crew uniforms.” Mayumi answered evasively.

“Any... weird how does that mean?“ Tanya Chiharu was curious.

“Why does his work uniform only use a white shirt, while the rest of the crew uses a shirt, and why are these nights he still working?... shouldn't all have finished working at this time” Mayumi told her friends.

“Oh so you mean, so I'll explain. The word is that his profession of work is a laundry man, and the Laundry department does have working hours until night, besides that they only use white shirts as his work uniform,  because at work they are quite hot temperatures compared to others.” Naomi's light to Mayumi.

“And one more thing, Word is a good and friendly person, he is also a great guitarist.” Imbuh Naomi's.

“Why do you know him so well.. Do you have a special relationship?“ Mayumi asked suspiciously.

“Of course not!, it has been 3 years I have a ship with him, and I know him well enough, because I also use his services to wash my dirty clothes.” Naomi.

Mayumi seemed relieved to hear Naomi's explanation, even though her heart was still pounding. Sayaka who had observed the change in Mayumi's face, when Naomi explained about the Word, began to feel suspicious that Mayumi had feelings for the Word.

The four of them finally arrived at the open deck, and continued their chat with each other until it did not feel like time had changed into the early hours, they became a small family now, and now they are a family,  with Sayaka as her first sister and Mayumi as the last sister after Chiharu and Naomi.
