REPLACEMENT MEN Season 2

REPLACEMENT MEN Season 2
HUNTING INFO

Maira stirred up the glass. Fresh guava juice does not attract any interest at all. Not a mouthful of it he drank.

Once again Maira looked at the clock that was coiling in her hand. It had been almost a quarter of an hour he had been waiting in the hospital cafeteria, but the man had not yet appeared.

[Sorry, maybe I'm a bit old. There's a meeting. It's okay to wait?] whatsapp message from Captain Rian a while ago.

Maira did deliberately contact Captain Rian via WA message. The feeling of being crushed after coming out of Janu's treatment room, made the woman feel the need to do something. He should know who Bertha is.

"Have you waited a long time?"

The baritone voice broke Maira's saturation. The woman looked to the side. A tall, well-built figure with a dimpled smile, trapped by his eyes. Immediately he stood up to welcome captain Rian.

"There's not even half an hour, sir."

Captain Rian showed a sorry face. Immediately approached Maira's desk and sat down on the chair opposite Maira's seat. They were separated by a round table.

"Ah, sorry, I was in a meeting just as you WA me."

"No, nothing, sir. I'm the one who apologized for interrupting your activities."

Their conversation came to a halt as captain Rian waved at the canteen maid. The young officer ordered a drink as his conversation partner with Maira.

"Okay, so what do you want to see me?" ask Captain Rian. Seen once he tried to get familiar, remove the bulkhead, with informal sentences.

"I'm sorry before. I'm asking this in the context of our relationship as friends." Suddenly Maira also chose to use informal sentences. "About my husband, do you know what the actual chronology was when he was discovered?"

Captain Rian raised his eyebrows. "What made you suddenly ask that?"

The veiled woman with her eyes was stunned. Clear lightning reappeared in his net. Bitten by the lower lip with a feeling of sadness.

"Is something wrong?" captain Rian asked, sliding his hand on the table. The cafeteria waiter has arrived, serving his order cofee latte. For a moment they did not speak until the waiter moved.

"My husband was talking about Bertha" Maira said later. His voice sounded vibrating.

"Bertha?"

Maira nodded. Then told about what Janu said and how the man's rather rude attitude towards him.

"He's never been like that before." As much as Maira's energy held back her sobs. "And Bertha ..., who is she? Why does it seem like my husband is close to her?"

Captain Rian sighed. The man took a sip of his coffee latte slowly.

"I honestly don't know either. All I know is that Serka Janu was found by a missionary. Some time ago the missionary was also interviewed on TV with the unit commander. You know, who is he?"

"Pastor Father Andreas" answered Maira. "We had a chance to talk to him. But baby, I forgot to ask for his number and address."

Maira leaned back. While his gaze was fixed on his drinking glass. Fingertips tap the edge of the table.

"Captain Rian, can you help me?" Suddenly Maira straightened up the body. His face looked straight at Captain Rian.

For a moment the man was shocked. Then he brought back his drink. "What can I help you with?"

"Master Andreas, can you find any information about the pastor's residence. I want to see him again."

Captain Rian frowned. For a moment he thought. "Mm, all right, I'll try."

Smiles spread on Maira's sad face. His eyes held hope. A small nod was given to Captain Rian. "Thank you in advance. I will always remember your help."

Captain Rian gulped. His face stiffened a little. Then back scooped coffee latte in front of him.

***

Two days after meeting Maira and captain Rian, the man sent a WhatsApp message.

[Will you go to the hospital?]

[I have information about Pastor Andreas.]

Maira immediately replied to the message. [OKAY. I'll be in the hospital by noon.]

[Prepare, maybe later we will go to the pastor's house.]

At eleven o'clock in the afternoon, Maira said goodbye and left Hanin to his mother. ASI for Hanin today is more than enough stored in the refrigerator. Maira won't worry about leaving the baby for long.

"I really wanted to see Bertha. He helped me. He's my black angel. I can survive like this because of Bertha."

For the umpteenth time Maira ripped her heart. Bitten by her lower lip and as hard as she can she is tear resistant.

"Mas, your name is Janu, not Batu. You're a soldier who a few months ago was assigned to Papua and went missing there. Me, Maira, your wife." Maira explained. I don't know how many times he repeated that information to Janu.

"As for Bertha, I don't know who she is. All I know is that you are my husband, the father of our children, Oza and Hanin."

Janu covered his face. "No!" he shakes his head. "I don't understand what you mean!" Janu's voice shook. "Bertha, I just want Bertha!"

Maira gripped the edge of Janu's bed. A speck of tears fell on his cheek. "Mas, I won't take a step back to get you back to us!" his hiss with a trembling voice.

Someone opened the door. Captain Rian looks in while carrying a fruit parcel. His smile expands.

"Good day!" sapana. He got closer to Janu's bed and put a fruit parcel on the nightstand.

Maira stand. "Good day, sir," he replied, nodding.

Captain Rian turned to Janu. His outstretched hand, momentarily hanging in the air. Janu did not immediately welcome, only staring at captain Rian with a blank look.

"Good day, Mr. Janu," said. Captain Rian with a smile.

Janu hesitated to welcome the hand. "I'm Batu" he sighed softly.

Captain Rian turned to Maira. His eyes were round, revealing shock.

Nodding Maira's helpless head into an answer. Captain Rian then became aware of the state of Janu. Although he actually knew that Janu had amnesia, seeing firsthand the man's attitude in front of his wife made captain Rian surprised as well.

The two of them were not long in Janu's room. With a facial expression, Captain Rian took Maira out. Then after saying goodbye to Janu, who was still expressionless, they left the room.

"How, Sir?" maira asked as soon as she got outside the room.

"I've got the address. If you want we can go there right now. I'm free."

"If it's Bertha, is there any info?"

Captain Rian shook his head. "We can ask the priest directly."

"Then, we'll get there!" Maira clearly looked impatient.

Then the two of them rushed to the parking lot. Moments later they drove away from the hospital, heading south.

Not until one hour they arrived at a clean and beautiful village. Several times captain Rian went down and asked for an address. Eventually, they arrived at a large house. The house was located next to a small church with an evergreen tree in front of it.

Captain Rian and Maira get out of the car. An elderly woman in a kebaya dress appeared to approach them. His partially grayed hair, neatly darkened at the back.

"Sorry, father, mother, who are you going to find, nggih?" ask her politely, while lowering her back.

"Good day, mom. I'm sorry, is this really the house of pastor Andreas?"

The woman is disturbing. "Yes, sir."

"Alhamdulillah"the Maira Lirih.

"Can we meet him, ma'am?" pinta captain Rian is polite.

"Of course, sir."

The woman then stepped into the house, having previously allowed captains Rian and Maira to follow her.

Maira pounding her chest. There is a worry of struggling with curiosity. In effect, Maira's steps became a little unsteady until captain Rian felt the need to hold it for a moment. Then the man supported Maira's move.

God, what will I hear? Am I strong?
