Can I Kill You?

Can I Kill You?
Part 6 - Wedding!

I keep looking for reasons I hate vampires, relentlessly, without being asked. The summer holidays, the semi-cold temperatures of autumn, were missed without any special feelings arising in my heart. Unknowingly, the snow season just passed by.

The snow came down profusely melting my face that was already as hot as fire. In the cold of the forest and a fine pile of white, I tried to pass through the piercing air by throwing knives at each tree trunk.

"It looks like you're really talented to be a fighter, sis," said my sister, who almost resembles a tomato on the tip of her nose. "In fact, throwing ten knives at the same time isn't a problem for you."

I glanced at Gabriel and refocused on the sparkle of my blades soaring rapidly in the air. "My dream is to kill all vampires, Gabriel. Because of them we're really poor."

"But there is no solution? One of us will be married to a vampire later."

My eyes widen. That's the choice I've been waiting for. My blood is hot.

"Maybe it will happen, anyway," I said while holding a grin.

"Hmm, if that happens, I don't want to get married, brother. Especially with them. Just remembering my past is enough to make me creep."

At first glance, my mind wandered into the past. Recalling the incident that almost killed Gabriel, I immediately dismissed the thought quickly. "You have a point."

I shook my head and refocused on throwing my knife. Several times missed, and finally the thought that hit my head almost made me explode. My desire seems unstoppable.

I decided to go back to the castle. My mind calmed down a bit before one of the servants said to us, "Princess Barbie and Princess Gabriel, you two are summoned by the King. Come to his room."

I swallowed spit. It's time.

......................

"Why were we called here, Dad?"

Dad's wrinkles are increasing, his whitened mane is also no longer able to count. His jaw went up and down when his sight met my eyes. "Barbie," he called out with great pressure. "Will you grant Dad's request?"

"Whatever it is if it is beneficial to all of us." Stale. I can smell lies in my own words. Gabriel had already started clutching tightly onto her dress behind me. He seems to know what's going to happen.

"I want to..." Father stopped his words and continued after one long breath. "You're married to the prince of Ruby Kingdom."

Listening to dad's request was like swallowing sweet sugar in the form of a giant chunk. The sense of being threatened clearly overshadowed my entire bloodstream, as well as a sense of satisfaction. I finally got to meet them!

Moreover, no one does not know the name of the Ruby kingdom here. The name of the kingdom soared when I was a young man. And I know they have no sons.

Stolen child, what a coincidence. Isn't it very similar to me? The difference is, there is no concrete evidence in this family that proves that I am an illegitimate child.

If only there had been proof, I would have gone out of my own life, by any means.

"We have to obey the vampire law, Barbie. If they don't want to kidnap an ordinary child for blood to draw, then there must be one of you to sacrifice."

"So my dad finally sold me," I said cynically, pretending to be hurt. Gabriel paled. "Good."

"Sister, relax!" Gabriel's screaming, but I don't care. My view is foggy. "Dad too, didn't you promise not to have anything to do with vampires?"

"This is for the sake of human peace, children."

Of peace?

"Always so. Dad always said for peace. Then, the actions of the father who had not been paying attention to me was also peace?"

That statement just slid out of my mind without ever anchoring for long. I can't control myself.

I did not answer, nor did I look into my eyes. My blood is getting hotter.

"I agree. Who knew that rotten vampire kingdom would give me a better father?"

"Basin' stupid boy!"

Dad's face is red. His hands clenched, a sign that he was ready to hit me, or worse hit the innocent Gabriel. I decided to end this stupid charade. "alright. Whatever Dad. I'll take this wedding. But, I have a condition for this."

Father listened to my request, and he nodded indifferently. "Do what you want. After all, your request is impossible."

That was the last time I spoke to my dad. After saying goodbye and coming out of his room, we both met the mother who was ready to hug us. I knew everything and tried to apologize to me with excessive crying. I tried to calm her down, not because I felt sorry, but I felt like my tears should have spilled here.

But the funny thing is, my tears can't spill. In fact, my bloodlust is burning.

I laugh.
