I rubbed my eyes quickly. Letting my runny snot keep in my arms. My eyes did not immediately recognize the person who greeted me just now, but my ears were capable.
"What are you doing here?"
Of all the people, I have to meet the most sensitive Fynn in the world.
"I'm not papa." I replied flatly. Damnit. It seems like my smile is back tucked deep in my heart.
Still not satisfied, he continued. "Seriously?"
I really want to say no, you idiot. However, those words seemed to be left somewhere in my heart, and I did not want to take them out. Not in a place like this.
The bell rang, and soon my smile rose again like dawn. "Ah, first, okay? As the school representative, I can't be late."
Don't know what I'm talking about, the important thing is that everything just gets sniffed out every time I finish sobbing. Fynn seemed to have memorized this habit, and waved his hand at me.
......................
We both—three together with my sister are childhood friends.
Fynn was the first friend I made as a kid. His father was an accomplice of the king who automatically made him able to surf without sin in the royal palace. I never cared about the surroundings, but not about my nose. In an instant, I knew if there was one uninvited existence roaming within the palace.
Right in front of the knight statues that were displayed on the second floor of the passageway near the treasure room, Fynn revealed the trunk of his nose. His round glasses still remained on his face the same as today.
"You... Who?"
My voice was raucous and full of trembling. A boy my age was standing in front of me. Her emerald green eyes glittered, welcoming me warmly.
"You're the king's son, huh?" He stopped to throw a glance at my hair. "Or right?"
"Nobody's son" I replied shortly. Dad once said kidnappers could have collaborated with a little boy to kidnap a king's son. "You haven't answered my question. You're who?"
He pointed to himself confusion. "Me?" His golden hair caught my attention. I just want to take it out and make it mine. "Oh, yeah. Excuse me. I don't know myself."
His head bowed to me with his right arm clenched in front of his left chest, "Include. My name is Fynn Alexander, son of Zack Alexander."
"Oh, apparently. Kirain who."
"You're not polite yourself." His eyebrows started twitching, his eyes looked annoyed. "So you're the king's son or not?"
"My name is ya—"
"Sister!"
The timing is perfect. Gabriel will explain all of my identities with his complete aristocratic features. Without hesitation, he hugged me from behind and gawked at the sight of the boy who was in front of me.
"Lho, brother Fynn?" The question made my heart almost jump. "You familiar?"
Gabriel outlined his embrace. "of course! We often play together!"
His smile had already defeated the angels. Super sweet. And of course, Fynn who saw this instantly blushed red. My eyes never misunderstood my feelings. This always happens to every boy who looks at Gabriel.
A strange feeling rained down on my chest. I try to ignore it.
"So... You're her brother?" Fynn scratched his cheek awkwardly.
"Emang why?"
"Em, it's not similar."
I can't argue. We are not similar in any way other than gender.
"I look alike! Same as brother!"
"No, you don't look alike."
"Finish!"
This useless conversation repeated several times. I'm starting to get bored.
Somehow, Gabriel finally found a solution to this insignificant problem by playing hide and seek. We also played together. The palace became a prison that felt wide and pleasant until the afternoon to pick him up to go home.

I sat on the bench closest to the window, feeling the winds wash my hair with a nauseating freshness. The summer wind is never good. The temperature they give always feels awful.
Not many children were present in the classroom even though the bell had sounded from earlier. I pulled out a book before the teacher stepped in, and a hand slapped my desk hard before I could turn my head.
"Hallo, Barbie."
Ugh. I swallowed spit.
What is my sin in inviting the arrival of the Karen group, the most sickening group in school? Plus, the arrival of the rest of the gangs really made me feel bad. I clicked my tongue.
"What do you want?"
"Ten gold and we're at peace." His hands are stretched out as if we are negotiating in the right way.
The friends behind him giggled happily. This incident has indeed caught them every day. A senseless tasting. Maybe this is what I and Gabriel meant to be simple.
"I don't bring money" I replied, looking away. Their faces were disgusting enough to make me nauseous.
"Not lie to me." His eyes lit up, already like an accomplished thug by the side of the road. "We know you brought money for the most expensive menu item in the cafeteria."
It is my right to choose the most expensive food in the cafeteria. Besides, I have allergies to cheap food, I don't know what they put in it. It is indeed the reverse of the father's principle to live frugally. But how else? I thought, my action to scratch the allergy results in the cafeteria is not a beautiful action for a mascot?
Damnit. I don't want to give you my money. Eating is a must for me. I also can't beat them in the school environment, my grades can be reduced. My grades are bad enough in my daily life.
"Please, deh." I asked as carefully as possible. "I really don't have any money. Take me off today."
Scream them harder than ever. Karen continued talking with her teeth pointed like a fox. "Then, as always, come to the girls' toilet after the lesson. You know what's gonna happen if you ignore us, right?"
"Yes, definitely, I answered. Fortunately, the teacher immediately came and they landed their asses on their respective benches.
I really want to avoid. But if I dodge, Gabriel is at stake.
Today's lesson I can't understand at all. Cold sweat has washed my hair. The history of vampires passes through my ears, only I remember if the hobby vampire attacks frightened humans.
Body shivers. I'd rather be attacked by a vampire right now, than a student desperately defended by my own father.
...----------------...
.
The break bell rang, and so did my judgment bell.
"ahaha! Look it! How disgusting!"
The smell of mops, juices, rotten food, everything mixed into one, enveloping my body with all the ugliness that exists.
The kick drifted again into my stomach, aggravating my hunger. I wanted to stick my knives at them, but I couldn't. Dad doesn't let anyone get hurt in this school, even though they're the same people who would kill me.
“Remember, do not do anything suspicious.”
If you saw this, would he suspect me?
Thinking of what I am, I seem to have gone mad.
Laughter filled the room. This room was already like a demon room punishing the wrong humans. My head's dizzy. Why would they choose this over ten gold pieces?
"Ah, her hair was disgusting this morning, shiny like a horse carriage." One of them grabbed my hair. I can't fight. Gabriel's next target if I fight back. "Let's flush with the usual cold water this time. The devil's shower begins!"
And cold water washed my whole body, tearing away all my warm feelings. I really want to kill them. Very, very, very.
"Soundless child."
Father's voice echoed in my ears, calling my name, his favorite nickname. I let them do as they please, and ended up like a rat in the bathroom. It's so disgusting that those who did it to me have to step aside.
My consciousness blurred when the stench had already plagued me. I gotta get out of the way... I have to clean all this up...
Free. Everything suddenly went dark.
