Can I Kill You?

Can I Kill You?
Part 8 - Agreement

After learning that I was the daughter of a human noble, the man led me into a room that was covered with light, except for the small burning candles in each room. The atmosphere in the room gave me goosebumps. I tried to calm down while continuing to squeeze my dress.

The man sat on the sofa in the room crossing his legs. "Sit. I don't feel good seeing you standing alone" she said politely.

I also sit. Although the sofa looks very old, in fact this object is very comfortable I sit on. Quietly thinking how much money was spent on this sofa, it must have been enough for my life a month.

The vampire prince who seemed to be waiting for me for a conversation first finally started talking first, "By the way, I got a letter from your father earlier."

My heart beat stopped. "Letter?" I try to calm down. This is the first time I've heard my dad send a letter.

He did not answer my question and began to explain again. ”The answer is, Princess Barbie is willing to marry a vampire prince if she is allowed to kill him whenever the opportunity arises."

I almost patted my forehead. Crazy one! Why did you even say that so blatantly? He should have kept quiet so that I could carry out this wish smoothly!

Unknowingly sweat seeped from my forehead. My hands clenched hard. I can't confess here. "That-"

"Well, I don't really matter."

I was petrified immediately after the speech.

The man extended his body on the sofa. "You know for yourself, I'm so bored! I don't care if humans will kill me someday."

I didn't expect this guy to have a grudge of his own in life or anything. Importantly, now her behavior is really similar to that of a 30-something-year-old om-om whose hobby is complaining about life. And to be honest, it made me even more confused to respond to it.

"But, well," he continued, grinning and sitting upright again. "I've never had the mind that a normal human being would kill me."

My eyes lit. He underestimated me. "Wanna try it?"

......................

"Good day Miss Barbie. Let me clean the lady's room first, yeah."

There was no smile on the side of my lips. My heart is heating up with the situation that just happened. In addition, the wound on my neck made things worse.

My consciousness returned when the woman took her broom.

"What's? Why didn't you clean it up earlier?"

The waiter pouted at me. "If you knew, yes! The prince didn't tell us about the lady's arrival! That's bad, isn't it? Though this was obviously my holiday day, but instead was given a job like this!" super long complaint. I lost interest in asking further. "Ah, by the way how did the lady get here? I won't complain anymore if you tell me the story of the lady's trip to the Ruby Kingdom!"

I just smiled manyun.

......................

My feet climbed up the table in front of us as fast as the wind, followed by a long slash towards his neck that was not covered by anything. The sound of split flesh was already echoing in my ears. When I was about to grin at the success of my wounding, no blood flowed from his neck. In fact, his skin was not injured at all.

"Well, how fast are you moving," muttered Mikaela still with her sitting position. "There are rarely women as fast as you."

I dodged the retreat. This is impossible. I'm pretty sure I've cut off his neck.

The prince's eyes lit up red, making my hair stand on end. "But you're still too stupid to attack. Let me tell you what's the difference between us and your people."

He got up from his seat and hit me hard with a strong fist. I've been holding him back with my dagger, but the result is ill-fated. My body floated until it was able to push the sofa behind me. I had not had time to moan in pain, his hand had managed to strangle me right above the floor surface. I tried to get up, but it was clear what the outcome would be.

Power that makes no sense at all. Humans were not even able to blow people away with just one such blow. Unless they have something we don't. Witchcraft.

"Le..let go!"

My eyes are watering. I almost threw up.

"If there's a day where you love me, worry about me a little, '" he pressed in his next tone. "I'll kill you."

I'm not sure there's a day when I'm gonna love a vampire who almost strangled me to death. When I had the chance, I pushed his hand, and he didn't fight. Breaths grumpy. I'm appearing so embarrassing.

"Whatever," I said furiously, "I'm sure you'll die first in my hands."

He smiled with satisfaction, but I could only be silent.

...----------------...

Yeah, that's right Barbie. You must hate him to survive.

While waiting for my room to be cleaned, I stood up while wiping my little dagger. If this can't stab him, then forever I won't be able to kill him. There must be another way, and I need to find it as soon as possible.

I didn't count how long I'd been wiping my little dagger in front of the room cleaned by the maid earlier. Let him deceive me so I can stand in front of my room like a fool.

"Well, done," said the maid dressed in satisfaction. He wiped the sweat off his milk-white forehead. "Please, miss. You must be so tired."

"Thank you."

The waiter looked at my neck. I was careful he would bite me. "Oh! There's a wound on your neck! What all I apply ointment to somewhat subside—"

The memory of me being strangled to the point of almost being out of breath rotated in my mind.

"No need. Let me treat it myself."

"But, miss—"

The door I closed sounded very loud. The waiter immediately let out a heavy breath. "When I worry about it! Humans are not to be lucky!"

...----------------...

Motherfucker. I didn't expect killing vampires to get any harder.

I agree with this marriage, as long as my dear Gabriel lives a quiet life. So that the vampires don't kidnap humans once more. In order to... I can live quietly.

With my current state, it seems like I will not live quietly.

So I tried to think clearly, came back to reality and started to observe my new room and think about what I could do here.

My new room is more luxurious than my room in the human kingdom. All the ornaments are dark red, including giant curtains that decorate the mattress pink with sunlight. There is a living room with a row of sofas neatly lined up at the front. A bathroom with a big tub and branded soap was also in my room. Everything's perfect.

I immediately laid my body on the bed without changing clothes. I took off the pendant I wore around my neck. Let me tell you: this locket protects me from keroco vampires. Ordinary humans were indeed unable to reach the vampire kingdom safely due to the striking smell of human blood. Then, if I wear this necklace, there won't be any keroco vampires who can hurt me.

That's in my experience, anyway. I don't know the truth. In fact, I don't remember where I got this stuff. What was it last summer, huh? I don't know.

The pendant is shaped like a natural stone, or it may be more similar to a diamond. The blue color reminds me of Gabriel's bead which is as blue as the sky. My eyes are not that beautiful, my colors are full of ashes. This necklace should have been given to Gabriel instead of me.

Well, forget all that, Barbie, my mind is hard. As long as this pendant can be of little use, I will appreciate whoever has given it.

After a few minutes of looking at the necklace, I slept well. I forgot one thing that was so important to my life: Sleeping from broad daylight to midnight was not a good thing.
