Can I Kill You?

Can I Kill You?
Part 5 - Change!

After school, Fynn drove me to the school gate as promised. Thanks to that, I did not find the nose of Karen and her friends at all. I breathe a sigh of relief.

“Sister, alright?” Gabriel asked as he looked at my sports clothes. This outfit did invite a lot of questions, but Gabriel did not ask a single question. I'm a little bit grateful to him.

Being free from those friends who admired him seemed to be super heavy to Gabriel. The proof, it took him half an hour to finally join us to go home. What if they were really talking about?

“I'm fine, really.”

They both look at me unsure. However, I have no intention of answering or responding further. I let our steps be silent in awkwardness. I don't want these worries turning into bigger problems.

The clouds cover all the blue parts of the sky. In the early summer, the rain is already pouring. We all walked at a fast pace. In this country, it is not only rain that will bother you when it is cloudy. There will be something more horrible. Vampirish.

......................

Tomorrow comes ripping my bedtime. Not as usual, dad arrived for breakfast with us. This awkwardness fortunately did not interfere with my meal time. Before he found me in front of the castle gate, my name was called.

“Why, well?” my words are as flat as possible.

Father, who had never been with me for a lifetime to eat or study, suddenly came to me this quiet morning was not a pleasant omen. I wait for him to speak. In the end, however, he abandoned his intentions.

“Right learning.”

Gabriel who was next to me laughed, I hope it's just a formality.

“We're leaving, yeah!” Gabriel pampered cheerfully. I just nodded awkwardly.

For the first time, my father smiled and waved at us. The feathers of kudukku bristles. I turned around and got on the horse carriage. The sun was already soaring high, I didn't see it wrong. He was still waving at us with his lips up.

Whahuh? Whahuh?

Sweat flows. This isn't what should have happened.

What is he planning this time?

......................

Arriving at school, I parted with Gabriel as he was surrounded by mobs. Sometimes I could feel strange gazes from all of them, especially the ones that were really close to my sister. Suspicion sometimes comes to my mind without my control.

The front of the classroom was crowded with students whispering to each other. I'm trying to split in. Some of them looked at me with different eyes; pity, shock, and uneasiness. And I found out what caused it: My desk.

Dented tomatoes are scrawled on a clean wood table. COME WITH US NOW. I rubbed that a little. Sticky and foul smelling. It would be hard to remove it like this.

Karen and her gang looked at me furiously. The children's eyes seemed to be rolling me there, asking me to solve this matter right now. A lot of them know that I'm being bullied by them. But no one dared to help me. I-i know. I knew I was the king's daughter, but did they know I had no freedom of opinion in my own family?

One of them took my hand when my foot was in front of the door. “You should fight, know!” he said, half trembling. “Thus, they will know that bullying is wrong—”

“Still,” cut me as polite as possible and get out of the way immediately.

Sayup-sayup, I can catch the children talking about my name. “His behavior is just defended like that, deserved he got karma!”

I want to rip their mouths off. Now either.

......................

Our school has a special forest located behind the building. The forest is actually a haunted place, set to become a special training ground for children archery clubs and campers. And, there was one more thing that could be used in this forest to the fullest extent possible.

Basting people.

“Satisfied, you, huh?” One kick came to my face, causing me to fall. His boots are really hard. I'm not sure he used it just for walking.

Karen's got a paper I know. “I heard you reported to the teacher's room about my behavior yesterday.” He finally confessed and brought his eyes closer to my face. “Thanks to you, I got a punishment from papa!”

The other friends also kicked me in the back, making me almost spit out my breakfast. The booing came in turns, not letting my mind stay calm. Blood's heating. I'm not weak. I can fight them. I can kill them.

“Hey, this kid... already want to faint.” Sweat was flowing from his forehead. He was worried to see me who was starting to daze.

Karen grinned. “Oh, good! Why don't we just kill them?”

“Karen! You're crazy!”

“Nobody knows if we made him faint here!”

The sky is as dark as my eyes. They also ran. The school bell accompanied their steps. My throat was too sore to say the word wait. My body was numb, and now shivering from the rain that suddenly spilled from the clouds.

Damnit. Is there one day I can enjoy school?

"Agh..."

My consciousness is beginning to fade. Who cares about the dark sky now? I really want to sleep, forever.

Half-conscious, I saw the same purple color I saw yesterday. Seeing me in, covering my face from the rain.

“The poor boy,” whispered, crouching in front of me is enough to make sure my eyes that he is a boy. “why don't you fight?”

Maybe I am already in a dream world. I don't know. I wonder, is the purple color of his eyes real? Is there a color that can suck me in to look at him fixedly again?

“I don't want to hurt my sister, you know?”

“Walau your sister actually tricked you all this time?”

The rain is getting heavier. My view is getting blurry. “Don't say that. Everyone often says so, but I don't believe.”

“You don't believe. You don't want to believe.”

If I could stand up, I would have hit him by now.

“What do you want?”

“Nothing. Seeing the potential in you got me here.” he said.

He also took something out from under his cloak. A locket. It was like an ocean, full of loneliness. The color had the same way of attracting me to look at him, just like his eyes.

“I'll give you this. With this, I hope you can be yourself.”

The rain is falling more and more. My consciousness slowly vanished in the gurgling sound of the rain. He walked further and further away from me, not helping me, but also not doing harm to me. Who her?

......................

“Fynn! You have to stop Barbie! You're close to him, aren't you?!”

“Continue? From what?”

“Barbie is crazy! He wants to kill Karen!”

Fynn who was busy with his book left his reading and ran towards the classroom hallway that led to hallway 2-1. Barbie who relented, gloomy eyes and likes to smile awkwardly was no longer met today.

He has turned into a beast. Monsters.

"All of you! Why just shut up? You're involved too!"

Amidst the sound of punches and head bumps time and time again, Karen did not expect that no one would respond to her request.

Although she had already let out the tears that Barbie had expected all along.
