Can I Kill You?

Can I Kill You?
Part 15 - Drama Queen

Ella... Killed.

Can I cheer and have a party now? Oops. Of course not.

Blood was spattered from his forehead that was leaning right on the table. No one was more gasp than Georgia, and certainly I was, the one who was supposed to end her life.

I closed my mouth and crossed my arms. It feels like vomiting. The taste got worse because of the emptiness of my stomach, and of course, coupled with blood that stained half the dinner table.

There's no pity from me. What exactly is...happened? Yesterday, my humanity remained. Today, that feeling has instead turned into hate, a satisfaction.

I'm holding my head. I must be crazy.

The mood turned chaotic. No one is calm. Some began to scream, whispering in a loud voice, some even cried hysterically to make the queen close her eyes and cleared her throat,

"RELAX EVERYONE!"

Silent. No one dared to speak up until the Queen stepped forward toward Ella's body.

The king's bastard son, said my father. That explanation suddenly crossed my mind. Is this why the queen remains calm even though Ella has become a corpse? I didn't even see the look of surprise from his face.

Georgia is not silent. He wiped his fake tears and sobbed to hug the queen. "Mother, I know you don't like Mika, but please love her for me too..."

All whispering again. It seems that the information that the queen does not like her vampire child has just spread now. I'm not surprised, the queen's treatment of her child yesterday was quite strange.

Other than that new information, I just want to laugh. Seeing the woman who should be his fiancee sobbed, made me think, Georgia should be the queen, the drama queen to be exact. I'm sure no theater will turn down her acting.

The queen stroked and wiped Georgian tears with a handkerchief. The woman who fell in his arms was crying. Greatable. How long will he keep pretending?

My heart rate is fucked. My feelings are mixed between happiness and confusion. The scenario that occurs after the death of a vampire is not a pleasant one:

First, I was intent on killing him, but he was already killed first, which meant that my goal had already succeeded and I had no more business here.

Second, it means I can go back home... And I had to take care of a lot of paperwork for the news of her death, as well as the cancellation of my engagement. And the most annoying thing is to discuss with journalists about what topics are good to be the main title.

There are still many tasks for me even though he has not lost his life. And that doesn't make me happy at all.

The end of Georgia's cries made the queen take action. "Georgia.." whispered the queen gently. "... Where'd you get this?" The queen gently stroked Ella's already-stiff head.

Georgia who was still busy wiping her tears was shocked to hear this statement. "What does mother mean... It's obviously Mika..." His voice trembled among the sounds of contrived snot suction.

Amidst the new noise, the queen violently pulled the knife that stuck to Ella's forehead. Very inhumane, I thought. The corpse also changed its expression, becoming more and more disgusting, like a human corpse that was left for too long.

I've stepped up to find out more. Calvin held me by his hand. "Wait a minute."

"So" continued the queen. His face was already icy cold. "where did you get this?"

"A... L'm... Don't understand..." He still stuttered. If possible, this knife must have been floating along with my emotions that have soared.

Something surprising happened afterwards. Ella's body melted into something black, like a piece of human-faced trash that was not whole face. Smells such as a mixture of alcohol and iron rippled through the air. Everyone closed their noses and stepped back, except for the two of them.

Georgia's mane turned white again along with her expression. He screamed in panic while touching his own cheek, "Ti-no! Disgust! Wh-how could it?!"

I looked at the corpse with wrinkled eyes. Most likely, the corpses were the so-called vampire magic creatures. Horrifically. If that's what they're proposing as their advantage, forever I don't want to learn magic.

Calvin continued to be calm. He knew this was going to happen. I asked half a whisper in her ear, "How far do you know?"

"Can you explain what happened?" I try to calm down.

Calvin chose to take a quick glance at the queen and Georgia. "Well, maybe it's vampire transformation magic. No one has used it for a long time... Em, a little bit of a no-nonsense."

I don't want to dig any deeper. That was enough to end our conversation.

"Until when are you going to use a corpse to trick everyone?" The queen looked at the corpse with a disgusted expression.

"No! I really didn't know this!" He said it as if he meant it. I wonder where his lies are rooted.

The queen did not care, she continued her words in a stern tone, "Know what I mean, son? You've broken the rules of this kingdom with YOUR BEHAVIOR!"

The queen walked backwards, distancing herself from Georgia's embrace. "Ibunda—Queen! It's a mistake! I don't understand anything about this!"

"Even putting a sleeper drink in here, isn't that terrible, Georgy?"

The voice surprised us all, including me who was already about to shout, "Hore!" because Georgia has been checkmated. Yep. There's no way I don't know him, because I really, really hate him.

With a smile that I hated so much, he grasped another knife that would be thrown somewhere later.

...----------------...

My stomach has rang several times, and fortunately no one heard it clearly. I'm so hungry, to be honest. But this incident was too horrible to miss, so I would rather observe it even longer.

"Mika," called Georgia as she got up from her seat. "You misunderstood me, I..."

"I don't need any further explanation, Georgy. You hurt my fiancee yesterday. And now you're using someone's body to trick us into getting our relationship back together."

...A drink?

"Curious, huh?" A woman appeared suddenly behind me, making me almost squeal. "If you knew, Mika is the only vampire here who likes to wake up early. And he was furious when I woke him up."

That's pretty funny information, considering vampires shouldn't like getting up early. I'll remember any information that might be useful.

Calvin's cold gaze suddenly saw me and Kate very close. "You're following, too, Kate?" Kate smiled back plainly. "Collateral? Hm, well, looks like this is very interesting, huh? There's no harm in me coming, is there?"

Calvin growled, and Ella walked over to us. "Your face is sumringah once. You wish I was dead, huh?" said me. I could feel the lightning spark between us.

"Fucking vampire. You still alive?" reply grinned. Oh, urgent. My stomach is rumbling. I couldn't look at him for long.

"You yourself? Let's see if after this you leave or you still want to live here!"

"Of course I'll—"

My words stopped when I saw the queen return to the empty seat at the end of the giant dining table.

"Barbie, Georgia." she said afterwards. "This is an important announcement for both of you. Listen carefully, don't ask me to repeat, and don't forget one word of mine."

Sweat slid from my temple. Between hunger and thirst, I remember what Calvin said.

Announcements.
