SCARLETT (Kiss From The Darkness)

SCARLETT (Kiss From The Darkness)
Chapter 10

Damon sipped his drink. I felt my phone vibrate in my pants pocket. I grabbed my phone and saw Roland's name plastered on my phone screen.

"Hello" I replied.

"I found another body. It looks like his attack was just a few minutes ago. But this time the victim is not dead." His tone is urgent.

"I'll be there soon" I replied.

I turned off my phone and stood up from my chair. Damon heard the voice of my conversation with Roland. He got up from his chair. I looked towards him. He nodded at me. Damon paid for our drinks and we immediately left the bar for the city center where Roland found the latest body.

I called Erick and Leda. They also went to the same place as me.

Damon's in my car. I drove my car at high speed. I'm worried about Roland. What if the next attack was directed at him? I dismissed that thought. My eyebrows are linked to the street in front of me. I almost hit a vehicle from the opposite direction, fortunately I was able to avoid it.

"Damn! You want to get me killed by a car?" Damon shouted from the passenger seat.

"You talk like a human." I glanced at him while smiling cynically. Damon rolled his eyes at my words.

I turned at the last turn towards the city center. There I saw Roland's car parked on the edge of the fountain pool in the middle of a four-way street intersection located in the city center. I parked my car right behind Roland's. I got out of the car and looked around. The place looked quiet compared to the last time I was here. Damon was standing right next to me. I saw Erick's car approaching. They both arrived on time. Erick and Leda approached us.

"During your absence, Werewolf," Damon greeted Leda with a dazzling smile.

Leda snorted and shifted her gaze elsewhere. Leda and Damon have known each other for a long time, but the two of them never get along because of different species.

Damon looked at Erick then looked at me while raising his eyebrows curiously.

"Erick, it's Damon. My friend." I saw the two of them taking turns hoping that they could work well together.

"I'm Erick" Erick said as he raised his chin towards Damon.

"Be polite to me, you snot vampire!" Sergey Damon to Erick.

"You're no match, son!" I said, "He's much older and stronger than you." I said while calming Erick down. Erick has always been that temperament.

Damon crossed his hands in front of his chest and raised his chin towards him. I ignored the two vampires. I need to find Roland. I walked over to the fountain in the middle of the city park. Erick, Damon and Leda were walking behind me. I haven't seen any sign of Roland. I looked around the park. I don't see Roland anywhere. Where's she? I sharpened my hearing. Suddenly the scream sounded so echoing in my ears. The scream came from the person I was looking for.

I immediately ran at high speed towards the direction of the screaming voice. A few seconds later I found Roland lying on the ground covered in blood on his neck. My eyes widened. My heart was about to explode seeing Roland. I knelt beside him and grabbed him onto my lap. His heart is still beating. I still feel his breath. He's alive but he fainted. Blood was still seeping from the wound on his neck. Thank goodness he's alive. I clenched. I was so scared when I saw him lying on the ground like this. I'm scared ... Why am I afraid of losing Roland? No, I can't have feelings like this! I was still holding her in my arms when Damon's voice resuscitated me.

"Scarlett!" His word.

I looked at the three of them.

"There are other victims nearby" Leda said in a low tone.

I still fell silent and held onto Roland.

"Bad things are happening" Erick added.

I don't understand what they're saying. Inside my mind right now is that I should immediately bring Roland to my house so that he can get well soon. I have to take care of Roland's wounds. I can't bear to see Roland suffer like this. It was as if my heart was pierced by a silver dagger when I saw Roland get hurt.

"Scarlett, some of the other victims are not dead yet" Erick said.

"Thank God" I said.

I looked at Erick and Leda alternately. They seem to be panicking.

"The victims seem to be transforming." Erick explained in a tense tone.

"WHAT?" I frowned in disbelief.
