The Past of David and Fathur (Part 1)

"Dave ...," called a young man who was strenuously running up to his friend. "See, it's good not?" fathur asked David while showing him a silver necklace with a heart pendant.

David looked at the necklace and nodded. "For whom?" ask David.

"Make Arumi. I plan to shoot him back home from school. You go home alone, yes, today?" said Fathur, inserting the necklace into a pink box.

David just nodded, he put an object that had been grasped earlier into the pocket of his school uniform.

David and Fathur, two high school teenagers who have been friends for quite a long time. There was actually another one, a teenage girl named Arumi. They were friends of them still stepping on the bench of the First High School (SMP). While with Arumi they have only been friends for the past three years, since they first entered High School.

Arumi, who is a quiet teenage girl, is often bullied by her friends and seniors at school. Because of her beauty and intelligence, there are no doubt many young men at school who tease and approach her.

The presence of two handsome and quite reluctant men at Arumi's side also made them slowly move away. At first David and Fathur only felt sorry for the teenage girl because she was often bullied by male students. However, because Arumi looks friendly to them and the girl who is smart enough to help them work on school assignments that they do not understand to be the beginning of their closeness. Too bad, when they went up to XII class, they no longer lived in the same class.

"As an expression of gratitude I am with you for always helping me and protecting me." That was Arumi's answer when asked why she was so good at helping them with their schoolwork.

In fact, speaking of academics, David also has above average intelligence. It's just that, for some reason from the beginning to know Arumi, he was very happy if he studied with the girl. In contrast to Fathur who is often difficult in some subjects.

Slowly Arumi's presence in their lives also brought many changes to David and Fathur.They were lazy to learn now they became diligent. Especially for Fathur who did experience a lot of improvement from the values of the task and its repetition, in contrast to David who was accustomed to getting a value that was always satisfactory, although rarely learned.

Arumi's fate makes the two young men's lives more colorful, so there is no reason for them not to accept friendship with a beautiful girl as good as Arumi.

That afternoon, right at the break, the three friends spent their time in the library to discuss lessons that Fathur said were quite difficult. Although David did not feel too difficult, but he still followed them to the library and pretended not to understand the material to be discussed with Arumi.

"No, I can. You guys are basically smart, just a little lazy," said Arumi who was correcting the second problem he gave to his best friend. "I'm sure I'll understand once. It's great!" Arumi held out both of her thumbs.

"Tomorrow you'll teach us in class, so we can both be as smart as you," David said.

"You're too much to negate me. If you study diligently, I'm sure you can be smarter than me" said Arumi humbled.

That was the beginning of the friendship between them. Without them realizing it the longer the friendship becomes a sense of awe. Their hearts and minds demand more than just being friends.

At first Fathur and David are often called to the teacher's room for fighting with his senior to defend Arumi. And the peak occurred that afternoon during the break.

David, who does not find Arumi in the library, searches for the girl around the school. The place they used to visit when the break time arrived. David also asked some of the other students who passed by him.

"So I saw him being invited by one of his friends, Kak Damar, son of XII IPS 1, when Arumi went to the cafeteria," said one of the female students when David asked about Arumi's whereabouts.

"I think they said something, same Arumi. You see, after his friend Kak Damar spoke whispers, Arumi just came along," continued one of his friends again.

"Do you know where they're going?" ask David again.

"Either yes. I never accidentally saw them hanging out behind our school building near the warehouse, you know," replied the student named Sinta.

Without thinking long, David immediately ran to the place meant by Sinta. And it's true. He heard someone's voice there.

The frightened Arumi could only cry, as both of her hands were already held by two of Damar's friends. Even Damar had already brought his face closer towards Arumi's face.

Damar wants to push David. However, David immediately brushed off Damar's hand.

Without waiting for another warning, Damar immediately ran over to David.

A punch landed on David's face, causing him to stagger instantly.

"Dave!" shouted Arumi.

The girl panicked when she realized the corner of David's bloody lips. He tried to run to David. However, the two burly tangabs had first restrained his body.

David rubbed the corner of his bloody lips, then the bead looked at Damar with a cynical and hateful look. He turned to look at Arumi and saw the girl's hand held by two friends Damar.

"DAVID!!!" shouted Arumi again who saw Anton— friend Damar was raising his hand to hit David's head with the stone. Arumi covered her face with both palms. Then he sobbed, his body limp sitting on the ground.

Anton's body fell on the ground, just as someone pushed and hit him in the face.

Fathur came at the right time. He then pulls David's body away from the defenseless Damar.

"Lo crazy, yeah! Could die a man's son! control your emotions, we are still in school, you can also go to prison if this is the case," said Fathur still holding David's body which revolted to hit Damar back.

"Let go of I! Let me kill a child." David is still trying to fight.

"DAVID, STOP! Conscious, Dave. You've scared Arumi." Fathur tries to resuscitate David, his hand pointing towards Arumi. It was seen that the girl was crying sitting on the ground while covering her face with her hands.

David also realized, he immediately approached his friend who was sobbing. He crouched down in front of the girl, then he let go of both Arumi's hands that covered his face.

Arumi looked up at David, then he slammed into David's arms and sobbed deeper. "I'm scared, Dave," he said.

David also tried to calm his best friend by rubbing Arumi's head.

"Better now we go to the UKS first, yuk! we used to cure your wounds, Dave," asked Fathur on the two, when he saw there was a wound on the corner of David's lips.

When they arrived in the UKS. The place was crowded with students and teachers. Even the principal. All eyes were on them. David, Arumi, and Fathur could already guess what was going on.

"This is it, sir, the culprit" Anton pointed at David. "And this child hit me, sir," he continued, pointing at Fathur.

The Headmaster and several teachers looked at David and Fathur in turn.

"You guys again," said the Headmaster exhaling heavily. " You come into the Father's room! Anton you and the others are coming to your room right now!" tell the Headmaster firmly.

After David's wound was given a little red obak, he immediately followed the principal's orders to come to his room with Fathur.

"Where's David here, huh?" mama Damar looks angry.

"I, Auntie," said David looking up at the woman whose age was estimated to be his mother's age.

"Why did you beat my son, huh? Want to be your hero at school. Because of you my son had to be treated in the hospital, it took quite a long time to recover his battered face because of you," He yelled at the woman by beating David's body with the Branded bag he was wearing. David did not rebel.

"I'm sorry, Auntie. I had a reason why I hit Damar" David said.

Arumi could only sob. No one will believe him.
