That night, Aretha was busy making coffee for her husband. Things that have become his routine, after becoming his wife David. He smiles every now and then in the middle of his activities. Still vividly remembered, when he first made coffee for David, when he was still his secretary first.
However, he suddenly jumped a little, as a pair of hands hugged him freely from behind. Of course Aretha knew the owner of that burly hand.
"Why smile on your own?" asked David who had propped his chin on Aretha's shoulder.
Aretha looked a little. "It's okay, Mom," he replied.
"Lied!"
David did not believe. Where could Aretha be smiling to herself, if for no reason, she thought.
"Yes, if you don't believe it," said Aretha, unconcerned, then released David's hand from his stomach.
Aretha took the coffee to the dinner table, and put it there. David followed her from behind, and then landed her body in one of the dining chairs.
"You may be smiling for no reason. Is there something you're thinking about?" david asked, looking at the wife's face.
Aretha sat on the chair beside David. "If so, why?" the question made David even more curious, what exactly makes Aretha like that.
"What?" david asked slightly with one eye.
Aretha gave her a smile, before responding to David's question. "You used to prank me on purpose, didn't you, the first time you asked me to make coffee?" tanyanya was a little suspicious.
David slightly gasped at Aretha's question. It felt like she was laughing remembering that, but trying to be held back and still be elegant, hoping that Aretha did not suspect her.
"Where is there? It is the basis of the dose that is less fitting," he argued.
"Where may be the dose is less fitting. I give the same advice, Mom!" Aretha did not want to lose.
"Oh yeah?" david asked plain. "Maybe my tongue is troubled" he added, sipping a small sip of coffee.
"Ish, shitty!" upset Aretha.
"But like it, right?" ask David flirting.
Aretha only screeched resentfully in response. David just chuckles at seeing it.
Aretha got up from her seat, then took the empty glass from the shelf. He filled the glass with water.
David seemed to take the coffee cup back, then sip it a little for the second time. However, his activities came to a halt, when Aretha's cell phone, lying on the dining table, suddenly rang.
Aretha gasped a little, then turned to look at the dining table which was not far from the kitchen, where she was standing at that time.
Aretha immediately walked towards the dining table, intending to check her phone. However, it's a pity that David has already grabbed the phone. Aretha slightly frowned, feeling astonished.
"Can I lift?" david asked as he looked up to Aretha who was still standing next to him.
Aretha was a little confused as to what to answer. In fact, he himself did not know whose phone it was from.
"From who?" ask Aretha curiously.
David glanced at the phone screen, clearly marked the name of the contact samuel on the phone screen. David showed it to Aretha.
Aretha grunted rudely. Confused what to do. It seems like everything is going to go wrong for him. If he allowed David to pick up the call, fearing David would do something strange. However, if he does not give him permission, it is feared David will instead suspect him.
A little forced, Aretha nodded her head, in a sign of giving David permission to lift the incoming call from Samuel.
"Don't fuck around!" whinek Aretha reminded.
David did not respond. He immediately received the call.
David put the phone to his ear. Samuel's voice greeted me from across the street. David also returned his greeting, so that Samuel was silent for a while, maybe he was surprised, because the one who received the call was not Aretha, but a man.
"Can I talk to Aretha?" ask Samuel.
"What do you need? Aretha is busy!" david Strictly.
"Mm... If you may know, who am I talking to, huh?" samuel asked curiously.
"I? I am her husband" replied David.
"Ck! That's right!" Samuel did not believe David's statement. "I really have a need with Rere" he added.
"Please connect me with him, it's very important" Samuel said.
David glanced at Aretha, then thrust the phone. "He wants to talk to you" he said.
With a hint of hesitation, Aretha grabbed the phone from David's hand.
David went from that place to the study. He is seen sitting in a swivel chair, where he works, then putting handsfree on his phone and ear.
While in the dining room, Aretha seemed to start talking to Samuel.
"Re, is that man really your husband?" ask Samuel.
"Yes, Sam. I am married" replied Aretha.
"You're lying, aren't you, Re?" samuel did not believe.
"Yes, Sam. I am married to David" explains Aretha.
"You want to marry her?"
"Lho, why?" Aretha scrunched her forehead.
"Ah come on, I'm disappointed in you, Re!"
Samuel immediately hung up the phone, making Aretha a little confused.
"Sorry, Sam," said Aretha.
Of course Aretha realized the disappointment felt by Samuel. After three years the man chased after her, but not a single bit did he give her a chance. He married a man, who he did not even know for a year.
Aretha did not want to be too dizzy about it. At least, he was quite calm with Samuel who already knew his new status. He hoped Samuel would not expect him much more.
Aretha immediately sought the whereabouts of her husband. He went to David's study, after he checked into his camp, and David wasn't there.
"Mas, are you inside?" Aretha knocked quietly on the door of the room. However, there was no confirmation from David, so he decided to open it himself. And sure enough, David was there.
With swiftness, David took off the handsfree in his ear, then got up from his seat, after noticing Aretha's presence there.
"It's only fitting that you don't tell me, apparently wearing handsfree," Aretha guessed. In fact, David was deliberately not aware of, I don't know what the man meant.
"I'm sorry, honey," David replied. "You're done?" tanyanya while making a smile.
Aretha who noticed it was a little astonished.
"Why you?" aretha asked suspiciously.
"Me?" David pointed at his own face. "It's okay" he added casually, as if nothing had happened.
"Ish, suspicious!" Aretha looked to be smashing her lips.
"Suspicious what the hell, honey?" david asked, holding Aretha's shoulder. "Let's go to sleep!" invite him, then push slowly Aretha's body out of the room.
"Mas, I told Samuel that we were married" Aretha told him in the middle of her trip to their bedroom.
"I already know," inner David responded.
"Oh yeah? Good dong ...," said David pretending not to know. "So, he won't bother you anymore" he added, adding one of his hands to Aretha's shoulder.
Yes, a few minutes of David being alone in his study, apparently just to monitor Aretha from a distance, so that I could find out everything that Aretha discussed with Samuel, with nothing to pass through in the slightest. However, David did not want to show it before Aretha that he knew all that. Worried Aretha would suspect him instead.
"You happy?" aretha asked, looking to the side, looking at her husband's face.
"Of course I'm happy" answered David, then turned the knob of their room door, until it opened wide.
