The Story of the Little Beggar

The Story of the Little Beggar
Mentawai Tribe Assistance

They manage to escape from the chaotic storage room, but they know that this is only the beginning of their struggle. While running through the dark alleys inside the mine, they attempted to find a safe place to hide for a while.

Melati leads the group, relying on her knowledge of the forest and her natural ingenuity. They moved quickly, passing through the winding passageways, not knowing what might be waiting ahead.

Dr. Javier, who has deep medical knowledge, examined minor injuries sustained by some members of the entourage. Although an atmosphere of panic and tension is still felt, they must remain calm and focus on their goal: saving valuable cultural artifacts stolen from the native tribe.

As they walked deeper into the mine, the atmosphere grew darker and more humid. But they know they have to move forward. This is an important mission they must complete.

"I think we should try to find a higher place again" Irfan said, trying to plan his next move. "We can get a better view of the situation here."

They agreed with the plan and continued to move towards the top, through the ever-winding passageways. The higher they rose, the clearer the voices from below, signifying that the mercenaries were still searching for them.

As they reached higher levels, they discovered a tunnel that was wider and brighter. They saw sunlight entering through the opening above, signifying that they had reached access to the outside.

But surprise awaits them. When they came out of the mine, they realized that they were on a steep, remote hill. They have to get off the hill, but a steep, rocky road can be a big challenge.

Adi, who is a reliable athlete, took the initiative. "I will go down first and find a safe path" he said.

Jasmine, who knows all too well about plants and the wild, added, "I can look for plants that can be used to make rope so that we can get down more safely."

They work closely together, trying to catch up with time while still ensuring their safety. They know that time is a key factor in their mission. After a quick preparation, they began to descend from the hill cautiously.

As they reached the bottom of the hill, they felt relieved. They had managed to escape from the mine and were now in a dense and natural forest. But they also know that they need to stay alert. The mercenaries would not stop looking for them.

They continue to move through the forest, away from the mine and try to remain undetected. The natural atmosphere around them was very different from that of a dark and humid mine. They heard the sound of birds chirping, the sound of flowing water, and the cooling breeze.

When they arrived at a small, fast-flowing river, they decided to take a short break. They take the weight off their backs and soak their feet in cool water. This was a brief moment of tranquility in their perilous journey.

Irfan tried to contact their team in Jakarta through a hidden communicator. "We have to tell them what happened in the mine" he said.

However, when Irfan tried to contact Jakarta, he got an unexpected answer. "We lost contact with the Jakarta team. There seems to be a breakdown in communication," Irfan said with a worried face.

They all felt increasingly squashed in a difficult situation. They must find a way to contact help and ensure that the stolen cultural artifacts can return to the hands of the original tribe. But with their team in Jakarta out of touch, they feel like they are stranded in the middle of a vast and mysterious forest, with dangers lurking around every corner.

The night begins to descend in the forests of Sumatra, and an adventurous group consisting of Melati, Dr. Javier, Irfan, Dian, and Adi feel increasingly pinned down in complicated situations. They must find a way to contact the aid and ensure the cultural artifacts stolen from the original tribe get back into their proper hands.

Melati nodded in agreement. "Native tribes may know how to communicate with the outside world. They can help us."

However, searching for indigenous tribes in the vast forests of Sumatra is no easy task. They decided to continue walking through the forest in hopes of finding signs of the existence of the native tribe.

As the night deepened, the atmosphere of the forest became increasingly dark and frightening. The sounds of night animals filled the air, and mysterious shadows appeared among the lush trees.

Suddenly, they heard a rumbling sound in the distance. The sound was getting closer, and they realized that it was the sound of a waterfall. They followed the voice and arrived at a large river with a majestic waterfall.

Dr. Javier checked their map. "I think we're near the border with Malaysia. It's the Batang Hari river, one of the largest rivers in Sumatra."

Melati watched around them closely. "This river can be a clue. There may be a Native tribe settlement around here."

They decided to follow the river, hoping to find traces of native tribes. They continued their journey along the river that split the forest.

A few hours later, they saw a small light in the distance. They approached the light source and found a small village located on the river bank. The village consists of traditional stilt houses built from bamboo and rumbia leaves.

A number of friendly indigenous people welcomed them. They are the Mentawai tribe, an indigenous tribe living in the forests of Sumatra. Melati and Dr. Javier tries to communicate with the sign language and limited English they have, and with the help of an improvised translator from the Mentawai tribe, they explain their situation.

The chieftain, an old man with an elaborate traditional tatoo all over his body, looked seriously listening. After a long discussion, the chieftain agreed to help them.

"I'll send a guide to take you to an area that has better communication signals" the chieftain said through an interpreter.

That same night, they were accompanied by a Mentawai tribal guide who was skilled in exploring the forest. The driver took them through a winding and bushy track, down the river and through the hills.

After a grueling journey, they finally reached an area that had better communication signals. They immediately contacted their team in Jakarta and informed them of their situation. The team will send immediate assistance.

However, in the midst of their relief, something unexpected happened. They heard the sound of footsteps approaching quickly. They turned around and saw a group of mercenaries armed with rifles coming towards them.

"We need to take cover!" irfan exclaimed, and their group ran towards the dense forest. They know that they must keep fighting to make sure the stolen cultural artifacts don't fall into the hands of the wrong people.

With the help of the Mentawai tribe and their guides, they infiltrate deeper into the forest, hiding behind trees and bushes. The mercenaries continued to search for them, but they managed to avoid the chase.

Catastrophe seems to lurk in every corner of Sumatra's forests, and this group of adventurers will face even more challenges and dangers in their efforts to protect a very valuable cultural artifact and return it to the rightful native tribe.
