The Story of the Little Beggar

The Story of the Little Beggar
New Adventure

A few weeks had passed since Dian became ill, and she had already improved. Returning to her previous strength, Dian felt very grateful for the support and care of Aryan, Maya, and Rizal. They return to their lives on the streets, but now they have a valuable lesson about the true meaning of friendship and empathy.

One morning, while they were looking for food in the trash can of a restaurant, they overheard a conversation nearby. They approached carefully, trying to figure out what was going on.

Two men who looked like restaurant workers were talking angrily to a young man who looked puzzled. The young man seemed to be a young beggar like them.

"What are you doing here, beggar?" said one of the men in a condescending tone.

The young man tried to explain, "I'm just trying to find food, Sir. I'm so hungry."

However, the man only laughed condescendingly. "We don't want to see someone like you here. Go there!"

Maya, who had always been resolute when she saw injustice, could not keep quiet. "There's no reason to treat someone like this! We also often look for food here."

The man looked at them cynically. "You are all the same, these beggars."

Rizal tried to keep his cool. "We're just trying to survive. We don't want any trouble."

But the man did not stop. He started pushing the young man, making him almost fall. That was enough to make Aryan feel angry.

Aryan approached with steady steps, standing between the man and the cornered young man. "Stop! We are all human. We have to support each other."

The man stared at Aryan loudly, but when he saw the courage in Aryan's eyes, he finally decided to go with his friend. They left the young man who now looked very grateful.

The young man thanked them gratefully. "Thank you, Mister, Ma'am, and Mister. You are my savior."

Maya smiled gently. "We're just doing the right thing. No one should be insulted or ignored."

After the incident, they went on searching for food and then gathered under the shadow of a tree in the city park. They were relieved to be able to help the young man, but also concerned about how disadvantaged people like them were often treated unfairly.

Rizal said with determination, "We must continue to fight for justice and empathy. We know how hard it is to live on these streets, and we must not leave anyone unaided."

Aryan added, "We all have the power to make positive change in this world, even if it is only by providing support and kindness to others."

Maya looked at the bright blue sky above them. "We will continue to be adventurous in this harsh world, but we will also continue to be role models for kindness and empathy."

They know that life on the streets will never be easy, but they also know that they have each other and the values they hold dear. In this never-ending adventure, they are ready to face every conflict, challenge, and test with unshakable courage, empathy, and determination.

Winter has arrived in the city, and the temperature is getting lower. The streets became increasingly desolate as people took refuge from the piercing cold to the bone. Aryan, Maya, Dian, and Rizal, however, continue to survive on the streets. They are battling the cold weather and deepening hunger.

One day, as they sat under a broken bridge, they saw an old man in a shabby coat who was shivering with cold. The man looked extremely weak, and his eyes emitted a sense of exhaustion and helplessness.

Maya immediately approached the man. "Sir, what can we do to help you?"

The old man looked at them with a doubtful look. "I'm just looking for a warm place to sleep and food" she said in a trembling voice.

Dian nodded and offered the thin coat they used to sleep in. "Please, Sir. Use this coat to warm yourself."

The old man accepted with gratitude. "Thank you, kids. You guys are so good."

They sit together, share the food they have, and tell stories about the journey of their lives. The old man revealed that he was a retired factory worker who lost his job after the factory where he worked closed.

"Since then, I've never managed to find another job. My life on the streets is getting harder every day" she said sadly.

Maya felt deep empathy for the old man. "We know how hard it is to live on the streets. We're just trying to survive, too."

Dian added, "We are a family, and we support each other."

The old man smiled, but there were tears in his eyes. "You are my angel of help today. I don't know how I can repay your kindness."

Rizal looked at the old man warmly. "No need to reply, sir. What matters is that we can help you."

They continued their conversation, sharing stories and laughter despite the increasingly cold weather. The old man told me about his good times with his family and how much he missed the warmth of his old home.

At that moment, Maya had an idea. "Maybe we can help you find a better shelter. There may be a temporary shelter we know."

The old man felt overwhelmed. "That would be very helpful, kids. I can barely move anymore."

They help the old man stand up and take him to a sanctuary they know. Although the place was simple and far from luxurious, it was better than sleeping on the cold streets.

Upon arriving at the shelter, the old man thanked them once more and embraced them one by one. "You are a blessing to me. May God bless you all your life."

They smile and feel warm in their hearts. Although they themselves have many difficulties, they know how important it is to provide help to others who are in greater need.

As they left the old man in the shelter, they felt relieved and satisfied. They know that their empathy and kindness can make a difference in a person's life, even amid their own limitations and difficulties.

They walked back under the cold bridge, but their hearts warmed with the feeling that they had done something good. They may be be children of beggars who hang on the streets, but they are also sincere and empathetic givers.

Winter is passing, and Aryan, Maya, Dian, and Rizal remain steadfast in the streets. They continued to search for food, shelter, and warmth in the midst of a harsh life. However, there was an uncertainty that plagued their minds.

One night, as they sat under a bridge sheltering from the heavy rain, Aryan expressed his concern. "We must have a plan for the future, brothers. Life on the streets can't be forever."

Maya agreed. "We need to find a way to build a better life. There's no way we're gonna live like this forever."

Dian added, "But how? We have no money, no job, no place to live."

Rizal tries to give spirit. "We have musical talent. Maybe we can look for opportunities to play music in public places and make money."

Aryan nodded in agreement. "We're going to try that, but we also need to have a long-term plan. We need to find a more stable job and a decent place to live."

They felt tense facing this challenge, but they also felt a determination not to give up. They were beggar children with dreams and hopes, and they knew that they had to work hard to make it happen.

The following days they spent looking for opportunities to play music in city parks and crowded sidewalks. Rizal picks up the flute, Aryan picks up the old guitar they found a few months ago, and Dian and Maya sing with their melodious voices. They try to raise as much money as possible from those who are moved by their music.

It's not always easy. Some people laugh at them or ignore them. However, there are also those who give a little money, food, or even words of encouragement. They keep trying, despite the unfriendly weather and diverse human nature.
