The Story of the Little Beggar

The Story of the Little Beggar
The Test of Life

The night passed with warmth inside the old barn. They talk about their dreams and hopes, about the challenges they have to face on these streets, and about what they want for the future. Nadia listened attentively, and they felt that they had found an unusual best friend that night.

When morning came, Nadia gave them some leftovers and supplies they needed to survive on the streets. He then said goodbye and disappeared into the night, leaving them with deep gratitude.

"There may be hope for our future after all this" Maya said in a hopeful voice.

Aryan looked at them with determination. "We must go on, face every challenge with courage, and help others when we can."

Dian nodded in agreement. "Friendship and empathy are values we will always uphold."

Rizal added, "And don't forget music, music is the part of us that can bring beauty into this life."

They feel stronger as their unofficial family. Although life on the streets is an ongoing struggle, they know that they are not alone. They have each other, and they also know that sometimes, help can come from unexpected places, like Nadia. They felt that there was hope for their future, and it was a fire that would continue to burn in their hearts as they continued their journey on this harsh road.

The day changes rapidly on the streets of this city that never sleeps. Aryan, Maya, Dian, and Rizal continue their fight for survival, remaining together as an unofficial family. They have faced many conflicts and challenges, but have also found kindness and empathy in unexpected places.

One morning, as they were sitting under a broken bridge to protect themselves from the drizzling rain, they saw an old woman leaning against the wall. The woman looked weak and hungry, and they felt sorry to see her.

"We have to help him" Maya said firmly, and the other brothers agreed.

They approached the old woman and offered her the food they had. The woman smiled weakly and accepted gratefully.

"Thank you, kids. I haven't eaten well in a long time" said the woman in a trembling voice.

Aryan asked softly, "What brings you to this street, Grandma?"

The old woman breathed deeply. "My story is full of sadness, young man. My husband passed away a few years ago, and my children abandoned me. I'm alone in the street."

Dian felt compelled to hear the old woman's story. "That's very unfair, Grandma. We'll try to help you."

They took the old woman with them, giving her shelter under the bridge they lived on. They talked to the woman, listened to her story, and shared a little of the food they had.

Meanwhile, Aryan plays his flute, creating a soothing melody in the drizzling rain. The old woman listened with teary eyes, warmed by the kindness they showed her.

However, the night was getting late, and they had to sleep. They gave the old woman some food and promised to seek further help the next day.

The next morning, when they returned to where they had left the old woman, they were surprised to see that all the food they had left behind had been lost. The old woman had also left.

Maya was confused and disappointed. "What's going on? He's gone."

Aryan tried to understand this situation. "Maybe he was very hungry and felt unworthy of our help."

Dian nodded in agreement. "We have to find him and make sure he's okay."

They began to search the old woman around the city, asking the homeless and the people they met on the streets. They wanted to make sure that the old woman was safe and get the help she needed.

However, the more they searched, the harder it was to find any trace of the old woman. Some people said they saw him walking alone on the streets, but no one knew where he was going.

But their hearts are still full of worry. They felt that they had failed to help the old woman, and guilt chastised them.

That night, when they returned to where they slept under the bridge, they felt lonely and heavy-hearted. They know that life on these streets is full of surprises and challenges, and they must keep fighting to survive. But they also learn that sometimes, even though we try to help, not everyone receives help with open arms, and that's a difficult test of trust.

Days pass quickly on these harsh streets, and Aryan, Maya, and Rizal keep trying to survive. They face unexpected challenges and conflicts, but their friendship and empathy remain strong. However, like life on the streets, problems always lurk in the dark corners.

One morning, when the sun had just appeared on the horizon, Dian woke up with a high fever and a weak body. His eyes were red and his vision blurred. Maya and the panicked Aryan immediately approached her.

"Dian, what's going on?" asked Maya with a worried voice.

Dian tried to smile even though his face looked pale. "I feel very weak, brothers."

Aryan checked Dian's body temperature with the back of his hand. "High fever. We need to get medical help as soon as possible."

They take Dian to a free health center they know, hoping to get medical help. There, they meet a young doctor who is willing to help.

The doctor examined Dian closely and nodded in understanding. "He has a pretty serious infection. We should give him antibiotics and get enough rest."

Maya and Aryan are relieved to hear that Dian can get the treatment she needs. They also knew that Dian had to rest well to recuperate completely.

The doctor prescribed the medicine and showed them a proper resting place, a hiding place rarely used by the old beggars they knew.

"This place may be uncomfortable, but it will be quite safe and away from people's attention" the doctor said with care. "Make sure he's taking his medicine and getting enough rest."

They brought Dian to the hideout carefully. Dian looked increasingly weak, and his face looked pale and tired. They made her comfortable with the blanket they had and gave her the medicine the doctor had prescribed.

"Brothers, don't worry about me," Dian said weakly. "You have to find food and take care of yourself."

Maya looked at Dian with teary eyes. "You're our family, Dian. We're not leaving you alone."

Aryan added, "We will look after you and look for food for all of us. We're gonna get through this together."

Over the next few days, they took care of Dian with great care. They gave him medication on schedule, fed him food when he did not have the energy to feed himself, and talked to him to keep his spirits high.

The atmosphere in the hideout was dark and seedy, but they tried to make it as comfortable as possible. Maya and Aryan even share stories of their childhood memories, creating moments of happiness amid the hardships they face.

On a sunny afternoon, when Dian had improved a little, they heard the sound of music in the distance. Aryan picked up his flute and started playing a beautiful melody. The sound of her flute complements the calm and full atmosphere of beauty.

Dian smiled weakly listening to that music. "Thank you, brothers. Your music always makes me feel better."

Maya looked at Dian affectionately. "We'll always support each other, Dian. We're a family, and we're gonna pass all these tests together."

They know that their journey on the streets will still be full of challenges, but they also know that they have each other. In moments like these, they feel the power of their friendship and empathy, and that is the most precious thing in this harsh world.
