They sat together with the other bums, feeling a little safer there. The small flame gave off a hint of warmth and light that made them feel at ease. As the night deepened, they sat alone with the owner of the warehouse, a tired-looking middle-aged man.
"Visitors like us always have difficult stories," said the warehouse owner in a moody tone. "Street life is not an option, but it is often the only thing left."
Aryan, Maya, and Dian nodded, feeling that they had found someone they could trust. They know very well that street life is a tough test to face, especially by children like them.
The conversation continued around the small fire, with them sharing stories of their harsh lives. The owner of the warehouse tells how he lost his job and his house, and ended up stranded on the streets. Aryan tells the story of how he found the old flute in a pile of trash and how music has become the antidote to their predicament. Maya talks about their dream of having a warm and well-fed place every day. Dian added a little story about the toys she created from materials she found on the streets.
As they spoke, their faces changed. There were laughs and smiles as they shared sweet memories, but there were also tears and sad faces as they recalled difficult experiences. Their bodily movements reflected their deep feelings. Aryan blew his flute with emotion, creating a melody that touched the hearts of everyone around the campfire.
The night gets colder, but the warmth of the friendship they find in the old barn gives them the strength to keep going. They know that tomorrow is a new day with new challenges, but they also know that they are not alone. They had each other, and it was an extremely precious treasure in this harsh world.
As the night rolled on, they decided to take a short nap. They caress each other's shoulders, creating a strong bond between them. Under the star-filled sky, they brooded about an uncertain future, but they did so with strong hope and determination. Their lives are a struggle, but in that struggle they find beauty in friendship and strength in determination to survive.
The morning comes quickly, driving away the cold night that has crawled the old warehouse where Aryan, Maya, and Dian slept last night. They woke up with a cool breeze that still left dew in the leaves around them. In the midst of the hustle of homeless people preparing for a difficult day, the three beggars sat down with the owner of the barn, the old man with a long beard.
"For God's sake, you have to be careful out there" the old man said, shaking his head. "This city can be very cruel to people like us."
Aryan nodded seriously. "We know, sir. Thank you for the shelter last night."
Maya added, "We have to find food now. We haven't eaten since last night."
The old man gave them some advice about places around town where they could look for food while avoiding trouble with the bad guys. They thanked him and carefully left the old warehouse.
As they walked around looking for food, they saw a well-dressed young man who was talking to a woman in the middle of the street. The woman looked serious and hasty.
"We have to be careful with people like him" Aryan told Maya and Dian. They knew that such a well-dressed young man could be a threat.
However, as they approached the young man, they heard their conversation. The young man, named Rizal, offered help to the woman, who appeared to be facing financial problems. The woman, named Siti, was sobbing.
"Thank you, Rizal, but I don't know what to do," Siti said as she wiped the tears on her cheek.
Rizal smiled gently. "You're not alone, Siti. I'll get you some help."
Seeing that scene, Maya, Aryan, and Dian felt that there was something different about Rizal. They approached the young man and talked to him.
"I'm sorry, sir," Aryan said carefully, "we don't mean to interfere in your affairs, but we know a place where you can get help."
Rizal looked at the three beggars' children attentively. "Do you know the place?"
Maya replies, "Yes, there's a help center here nearby that might be able to help Siti. They have a program to help people who are in trouble."
Siti nodded in agreement, "I'll try anything to help my son."
They talk about the experience when they eat. "Who would have thought there were good people in this world" Dian said as he chewed on the rice.
Maya added, "We should always be careful, but not everyone is a threat."
Aryan agrees. "Friendship in a crisis like this is invaluable. We can support each other and help each other."
Their conversation makes them feel closer to each other. They feel that although they have to face difficult challenges every day, they have each other as an unofficial but very close-knit family. They learn that even though life on the streets is full of uncertainty, there is room for empathy and friendship in the midst of such a harsh life.
When they finished eating, they got up and prepared for a new day. Even though they did not know what would happen next, they knew that they had each other, and it was an extremely precious treasure in the middle of this cruel city.
Days passed quickly in the middle of their lives on the harsh streets. Aryan, Maya, and Dian keep trying to survive, looking for food and shelter in a city that never sleeps. They learn to avoid the dangers of the streets, but also try to stay open to the good of the people they may encounter along the way.
One day, while they were sitting on a crowded sidewalk, they saw an old man wearing an old suit and a hat sticking out his hands asking for help from passers-by. The old man looked weak and frail, and the busy pedestrians mostly ignored him.
Maya felt sorry to see the old man. "We have to help him" Maya tells Aryan and Dian.
Aryan agreed, but he was also on guard. They have learned not to trust strangers on these streets too easily. However, they approached the old man carefully.
"Sir, do you need help?" aryan asked softly.
The old man nodded weakly. "I'm so hungry and cold. I have no place to live."
Dian looked at the hungry expression on the old man's face and said, "We have some leftovers. Please eat with us."
The old man smiled weakly and was grateful. They sat together by the side of the road, sharing their leftovers with the old man. As they ate together, they heard the old man's story.
The man's name was Mr. Iskandar. He is a retired teacher who lost his home to a debt he could not pay. The harsh life of the streets has forced him to survive for what he is.
Aryan, Maya, and Dian feel compassion and want to help Mr. Iskandar. They know very well how difficult it is to live on the streets, especially for someone who is elderly.
"We have some friends here who might be able to help you get some shelter" Maya said.
Mr. Iskandar thanked them and thanked them. They then together seek a help center that can help Mr. Iskandar get a temporary residence. After several hours of searching, they managed to find a help center that was willing to help Mr. Iskandar.
As they left Mr. Iskandar at the aid center, Mr. Iskandar looked at Aryan, Maya, and Dian with eyes full of haru. "Thank you, kids. You are my guardian angels."
Aryan smiled and shook his head. "We're just doing the right thing, Mr. Iskandar. Hope you get a comfortable place."
They left the help center with a warm feeling in the heart. Even though they themselves live in difficult circumstances, they feel satisfied because they have been able to help someone in need. Friendship and empathy are values they have always held in the midst of this harsh life.
However, as they strolled back on the crowded sidewalk, they felt that something was amiss. There was a group of suspicious-looking young people following them from a distance. Their faces were filled with obscurity and tension. Aryan, Maya, and Dian felt that tension filled the air around them. The new challenge seems to be waiting ahead.
