The Ruler of the Two Continents

The Ruler of the Two Continents
CHAPTER 84 - THE END OF PAST GRUDGES

Finally the General opened the door of the King's room, and ordered everyone to wait outside.

Inside the luxurious and slightly dim room and slightly humid air, there stood a King in royal robes, complete with a crown studded with blue sapphires on his head, he was standing in front of a large window half-covered with curtains, so that not much light entered the room.

The light from outside only illuminated part of the room and part of King Rowen's body, with his hands folded behind his back, King Rowen did not turn his head towards the General.

“ Long time did not meet Luzen.. “ his slightly raucous voice greeted the General without turning his head.

The general stepped closer to the middle of the room. Then he stared intently at King Rowen's back with his sword grip.

“ Do you see this luxurious room dim Luzen?, that's how my life is. Behind my greatness as King, I feel dim with my life, well whether it's who's wrong, but until now I still blame my father as the cause. Oya, by the way congratulations on your victory Luzen “

“ You must keep your promise! “ the heavy voice of the General makes the King bow.

“ Yes, I will keep my promise, but can we talk to General Luzen for a moment?“ the king turned his body to the General.

This time the general saw the face that once made him slump.

“ What else do you want to talk about?” ask General.

King Rowen stepped slightly towards the side, right next to him, he opened his palm and pointed it to two chairs on the side of the wall on a small table and he allowed the General to sit on one of the chairs.

“ Sit..” said the King.

The general sat carefully after the King sat down on a chair beside him that was only blocked by the table.

“ Did you ever talk to my dad about me? “ ask King Rowen.

“ Yes, I once talked about you “ replied the General frowning.

“ Then, does my father seem to hate me? “ ask King back.

“ He doesn't hate you, he's just disappointed in you “

“ Do you know Luzen, he's so flattering you more than me his son, and do you know, he never gave his affection to me until his death, does he deserve to be called a father?”

“ You're wrong!, he loves you, but you never notice it. There are many hopes and desires that he wants to get from you, but until adulthood you never give what a father wants, because of your attitude that does not care about your father's wishes, and your stubbornness makes him desperate.

Did you ever realize that your father built this empire big with his blood and sweat for your sake one day. But you always crush his expectations, you always make him disappointed with your nature!”.

“ You know what about my nature!!” King Rowen spontaneously got angry by hitting hard the handle of the chair with his fist.

King Rowen was quiet and a little calmer.

“ You are great Luzen, you have everything, you have everything I don't have, even you have my father, you have a wife and family.and you also have a bigger kingdom now, you have a bigger kingdom, who was able to defeat me “ King Rowen slightly laughed cynically.

The king put his crown on the table.

Then King Rowen got up from his seat, and knelt before the General.

“ Dig up my head Luzen, I no longer want to live, I will pay my sins to you for the death of your wife, and I will fulfill your promise in the letter. Do it.”

The general looked at him with round eyes. He held tightly to the handle of his sword which was still at the waist.

“ Yes, as per our agreement, you must die before me, Rowen Bosten “

The general began to release the sword from its sheath, a glittering sword glint reflected off half the light that entered through the window.

He still tightly grasped the handle of his sword, and swung his sword upwards.

King Rowen's eyes closed resignedly, his head slightly raised, as if giving his neck to be ready to be cut off.

“ Do it..” said the King with eyes still closed.

The general raised his sword upward, then swung it, then…..

The general came out of the King's room, with a sword in his hand, in the eye of the sword attached fresh blood that kept dripping. In front of the door Gardden and the soldier were still waiting for him.

“ Have you killed him?” gardden asked curiously by looking at his best friend's face seriously.

“ Yes, I have killed him “ replied the General in a flat voice.

“ Hey, bodyguard, you take care of your King's body “ The general turned to the bodyguard who was still there.

The bodyguard tried to see the state of his King inside, he was surprised by the head of his King who was not far from his feet standing, the body of the King was separated from his head.

The general exits the castle with his soldiers, and will continue his journey home to the fortress with the victory he won and freedom from the grudges that have been stifled in his life.

The general smiled behind his face that was filled with fatigue and also satisfaction.
