CHAPTER 35 - BATTLE OUTSIDE THE FORTRESS

The Zeron Fields living in the fort joined the General to exit the fort. Leon's army of five hundred soldiers, led by Gardden, was ready at the gate to come out with their gallant horses.

As soon as the gate was opened the second time, Drake's entire army came out quickly led by the General with a steel sword in his hand.

The general and the soldiers formed an elongated line with stretched swords, all riding fast, fiercely slashing towards the enemy like a battering wave.

Many of Zeron's men were immediately crushed by the swords, axes and spears of General Luzen's army.

The kital-war is flogging. The swords of the armies of the two camps were clashing against each other. The spear of the soldier led by General Luzen managed to dispel the front brikade of the second wave of Zeron troops.

The Zeron army quickly set up a shield blockade, the box Flangs formation. But the strength of Leon's forces managed to break through and make the blockade fall apart, as a result Drake's forces managed to enter and break the blockade Zeron.

The general who fought fiercely managed to incapacitate every three people with a single sword slash. The general tried to march forward towards Captain Robin, but the distance was too far. His gaze continued to lead to the place where the Captain was.

The general from the beginning of the exit of the fort had planned to paralyze Captain Robin, because he thought if the leader was paralyzed then the spirit of his soldiers would weaken.

The general continued to drive out the Zeron troops who came to attack him without end.

Suddenly the sabre hit the General's back, the General's armor was torn instantly, it turns out the culprit is Captain Robin, the supreme leader of the Zeron army.

It turns out that the General was being targeted was actually in front of him.

The general quickly retaliated against Captain Robin's attack, the swordfighting inevitably became fierce and tense, because they were both equally strong, equally high position in the eyes of the troops.

Unwittingly, Captain Robin kicked the General's horse, and the man fell to the ground with his black horse, but quickly got up and pulled the armor of Captain Robin, until they were both at the bottom without riding a horse.

Fierce battles and intense duels between the General and Captain Robin marked the day's battle.

Captain Robin managed to give another besetan on the General's left arm, blood melted in the General's arm, but he seemed to ignore it.

Some time they clashed on the battlefield, finally…

Two heavy slashes from the General landed on the stomach and chest of Captain Robin, the big-bodied man looked unsteady, he bowed with a sword stuck to the ground.

“ Aaarrgg! ” his voice withstood the pain, then he forced a quick step up towards Jenrdal, but with a nimble General was able to dodge the swift slash of his sword, and the General struck Captain Robin's chest with his elbow, the leader of the Zeron fell flat on his back, then the general's sword was already on the neck of the leader of his enemy.

Captain Robin smiled cynically, he was already at the tip of the horn, his body was getting weaker, lying resignedly with quite serious injuries and blood coming out endlessly, he said, and the general's sword is ready to slash his neck.

With somewhat doubtful eyes, between pity or having to do it, then the General solidified his intentions…

“ It's an honor to meet you Captain.”.

The general decapitated Captain Robin. A moment later the man knelt beside the lifeless body of the Captain, he bowed his head and held his sword on the ground.

Vaguely heard the cry ‘ Captain has died!!!’..’ Captain Robin was killed!!’…

So Zeron's army was lost control, they were running, some were retreating, some were pulling their friends' clothes to stay in the battle, some were standing still.

Then the general ordered Drake's entire army to retreat a little and gather near the fortress.

They made a shield wall. The soldiers stood in rows, they took cover using their respective shields, shoulder to shoulder holding shields from all sides, up, back, left and right.

They docked each other and the shields touched each other, finally the protection wall formed from the shield formed a sturdy sheltering formation.

The general had already signaled to the archers before, if the shield walls were to awaken, no matter what, the archers would have to fire around them.

Hundreds of Zeron's men chase Drake's men who have formed a shield wall. They intend to destroy the defensive blockade of Drake's forces, but they have not yet had time to touch their swords to Drake's shields,

Thousands of arrows flew through the air, instantly the sky felt black. The arrows rained down on Zeron's troops who were running after Drake's army's shield.

Hundreds of Zeron's troops lay down instantly, drenched in numerous arrows. Drake's shield walls were surrounded by arrows, and the corpses of Zeron's troops around him.

Nearly half of Zeron's army had fallen, from the first of the generals to the gate, to the tragedy of the new rain of arrows.

King Zeroix looked disappointed. He ordered his troops to retreat for a while. Because he had also lost his highly influential Captain.

Late in the afternoon, Zeron's army retreated and camped in a valley some distance from the fortress.
