The Ruler of the Two Continents

The Ruler of the Two Continents
CHAPTER 3 - THE BEGINNING OF A NEW JOURNEY

In one place, far to the south, everything looks white. Thick snow covered the surrounding colorful, white.only white was also cold.

A rather strong cold wind scattered along with the snow crust. The area of the place was as if it had no edges…

Several people were seen lying on the thick snow, one by one they had come to their senses from his stupor. When everyone regained consciousness with a strange and confused feeling, they saw the surrounding scenery.

“ Are we in heaven?” ask one of them who is still sitting in the snow.

“ This snow is stupid.” one other person answered while standing up and flickering the snow stuck in his pants.

“ General...general, are you okay? ” Bugerd, one of General Luzen's men approached his General who was still holding his head and sitting in the snow.

“ Akh.ya.ya.it's okay.., where is this? ” while helped up from his seat, Bugerd shook his head.

“ I don't know General, but it looks like we've been dumped in the snow” mountains.

“ Dumped?” The general still doesn't understand

“ Are you okay Luzen?.” His best friend Gardden was there too, making sure General Luzen was okay.

“ Well, you alone?” The general turned to Gardden, who had his thumb up.

“ Hoy.see this!!” the man with the thick beard found a cloth padlock.

Fifteen of them, one by one, gathered around the cloth, and they opened it.

“ There is a letter in here.” The bearded man took out a brown paper containing handwriting. He read it straight away.

‘ To, whom we have always respected, General Luzen and his friends.

I'm Odero, confidant of His Holiness Rowen. I apologized to you guys earlier. I've been instructed by Your Majesty to poison you with deadly poison. Then I was also ordered to dispose of your bodies to the farthest reaches of the kingdom. But I still remember your services General Luzen and your soldiers since King Josean ruled, so I took a risky decision, I gave you a non-lethal poison, only to fall asleep for a few hours. Then after His Majesty examined your bodies, he thought you were dead, and told me to dispose of them immediately. I finally decided to dump you into this place as soon as possible with the caravan's horse.

Here I have also prepared some food, water, thick blankets, cloak coats and weapons. Please do not return to the kingdom of Noregon. We have lost a great general like you, and the elite forces that are with you today, no matter what the kingdom of Noregon might be.

Hopefully what I do this can make up for my mistake‘.

good luck to the General -

Odero.

They looked at each other, not believing. But all they could do right now was find a way and shelter. Finally they took all the equipment in the linen, and began a long journey down the terrible cold snow.

They walk and walk. Some of them had beards and their beards began to be white exposed to snow. They went hand in hand, with a large axe by his side and a sword on the other side, and some had long hair and were tangled with bows and arrows on their backs.

From a distance they look like a group of war troops, hunters or rather people who often experience fighting, seen from hard faces, and some scars on their faces, also a sturdy body even in cold conditions that are very scary as it is today.

Three days they went through, along a grueling heavy journey, the supplies given Odero had thinned even out. The snow is getting more violent.

Dude, one of them had fallen on the ice, so his legs hurt and he limped.

Two days later the Dude was no longer strong enough to endure the pain in his legs, he dragged him while walking, sometimes on papah by his friends alternately.

Finally they find the trees, they make a raft to pull the Dude who is already unable to walk.

The next day one of them fell into the snow, and they did not eat or drink. The man experienced cold beyond his limits (Hipothermia), finally he was also dragged using an artificial wooden raft.

Even a week passed, they found nothing in that place.only snow and snow…

Their beards turned white in the snow. The dashing swords on their waists seemed to whimper for a thicker bandage. The atmosphere was starting late in the evening, the sky was starting to dim.

“ It looks like there will be a storm, we must quickly find shelter “ one of them shouted, but his voice was in the direction of the speed of the wind that crashed.

They continued on the road aimlessly.just looking for shelter from the storm.

From a distance, someone who was at the front of his eyes, he faintly saw there was a light and smoke.

“ There..there!!!” as if finding a treasure, his eyes suddenly widened excitedly, he found a hope, the man turned to the people behind him while pointing at the direction the light came from.

They were all filled with hope, as if their fatigue was wasted in a moment. In heavy steps, they force them to run.

The clearer the light.home.yah, it's a house that seems warm. Smoke billowed from the chimney above the house..

Although still a few more kilos, they all laughed, finally finding a comfortable place to rest.

And, as it gets closer.what is this.a must of a cuisine…

One of them shed tears of gratitude, which when it fell clear the tears melted together with the ice beneath. Her thick gloves wiped her tears . The smell of such dishes they do not smell almost less than a week. They endured their hunger along with an exhausting journey.

Fifteen people gathered in front of the door of a simple house, the warmth was already felt even though the door was not yet open.

General Luzen, dressed in a black robe, covered in a thick coat of fur, hinted with his fists, in order for the others to remain in place.

The general, whose hair was exposed to the snow, knocked on the wooden door of the house. Several times the knock did not appear an answer from within.

“ Excuse me..Is there anyone?.” His heavy voice several times called out to the host, but there was still no answer.

Finally the general opened the unlocked door, because they did not want to linger outside. They enter slowly.

Their fingers were ready in the cold sword hilt. They carefully observed the surroundings of the house.

The fragrant aroma of the cuisine almost made some of them lost control, without direct command to push forward want to take food that was still smoky on the table, looks warm and delicious.

The general immediately banned them. He pulled out his sword and blocked his men from moving any further.

“ Don't!! wait for my order!”

The heavy voice of the general surprised some of the men who had stepped impatiently to enjoy the dish on the table. And they discourage the intention of taking available food.

They are still quietly observing the entire house while on a watchful position, even though the hunger is no longer able to hold.

The house felt warm, either because of the fireplace or because of the fullness of the men who entered the crowded room, filled the room, which they no longer wanted to be outside with the frightening weather.

On the right side, a large shelf housed a lot of medicines, on the smaller next shelf lined with thick books, there seemed to be also ancient books. On its walls hang an arrow, a coat of bear fur, a sword and some sort of woven bag. The simple dipan looks warm in the left-hand corner, complete with cushions that feel padded and a thick blanket that stretches. The fireplace in the House was still burning with a fairly large fire, making the warmth spread throughout the room. On the back side there is a door, which may lead to the outside of the back side. The simple house is not too big, but it feels comfortable and warm.

Kreeek…

The sound of the door opening from the back. The cold air quickly crept into the room.

All the men there spontaneously took out the sword from its sheath, and smoothed it forward. From behind there were some who were ready to aim with their arrows.
