“Prang!!”
The woman was immediately stunned from her sleep when she heard the sound of her door breaking like a hard object being thrown. It's still so dark. Ega turned on his bedroom lights and rushed down to ascertain what had happened. Her brown eyes glanced at the wall clock, and time showed three o'clock in the morning. His swift pace breaks the silence of the mansion he lives in alone after his divorce from Evan. Her palm deftly turned on the light switch as soon as she reached the living room, and how surprised the woman was when she found the window of her house that had been smashed to pieces. His tiptoed feet avoided the scattered shards of glass to find out what had been thrown so as to break the glass. His eyes scoured the floor until he found a small plastic bottle tied to a rock the size of a tennis ball. Both of his eyebrows furrowed as he took the bottle with his heart. Release the bond of the bottle wrapped around the stone. From the outside it was clear inside the bottle was a small piece of paper. Ega immediately opened the bottle and took out its contents, until at once his eyes widened to find a line of threat on the piece of paper.
‘STAY IKO OR I MAKE YOU SUFFER!’
The short threatening writing immediately made Ega's heart beat fast. ‘Who did this and how did he know my relationship with Iko?’ he thought while throwing a look out of his house. Silent. There was no one there, not even the front road of his house there were no vehicles passing by because it was still late. The fence of his house was locked tightly, but Ega was sure someone had thrown the stone from outside the fence. Ega immediately turned off the living room lights and rushed to his room. His voice trembled slightly from nervousness, then he immediately grabbed his smartphone to contact Iko. Not until the call was connected did Ega rush to turn it off. He did not want to tell Iko because she understood that Iko would be worried. The woman walked over to the outside of her bedroom window to confirm if someone was outside the fence. Silent, dark. There is nothing but silence.
...***...
The morning before after the incident of rock terror and threat messages were thrown into the house Ega early this morning. The woman had to clean up all the scattered pieces of glass before leaving for the office and called people to replace the broken window. Every now and then the woman bit her lips in the panic that still loomed over her regarding the terror she had just received.
“It's done, Ma'am,” said a man in his mid-fifty years who just finished the installation of a new window glass. Ega nodded in thanks and immediately gave him a service fee.
On the way to the office, the woman's mind was still centered on the threat she got.
‘Why is he asking me to stay away from Iko even threatening to make my life suffer? Who is he exactly?’
...***...
“Ga! What are you thinking?” seloroh Nindy disperse the reverie Ega who had seemed unfocused on his work.
“Eh, oh, what's Nin?”
“Ega, what’s wrong? I saw you thinking of something. Any problems?”
“Not there, Nin. I'm sorry I haven't had breakfast so I can't focus at all,” he explained as he re-signed some of the documents Nindy handed him.
“Sorry Mom someone delivered this on behalf of Bu Ega,” the employee said politely. Ega then asked him to put it on the table, then invited the employee to return to his room after Ega said thank you. With deft brown-eyed woman then took her smart phone to contact Iko.
“I told you you don't have to send me food every day, Ko.” Ega said as soon as the phone connection was connected.
“You mean?” answer the heavy voice from across.
“You didn't send anything today to me?”
“I? It's too early, I just woke up. But don't worry, I'll send you food if you want.”
Instantly Ega's heart was racing. ‘Not Iko? So who sent it and what does it contain?’ ega's mind returned unsettled because it began to associate the parcel with the terror he received early this morning.
“Ah, no need Ko. Turns out Nindy ordered it for me.” Ega was forced to lie because he did not want to make Iko ask questions. The woman immediately hung up the phone and walked slowly closer to the parcel. Inside is a medium-sized box. At first glance there is nothing suspicious of the parcel, but somehow Ega's unpleasant feelings so take out the box and open the lid. Sure enough, the woman was surprised at what was inside. His brown eyes widened slightly in fear as he found again a short message containing a threat written on a small piece of paper. The message was written with something red, either blood or what was clear was enough to disturb Ega's mentality in a short time.
“STAY AWAY FROM HIM! HE IS MINE!”
