“Isn't this going to be very difficult for us?” bargain the man, hoping Ega changes her mind to not keep the status of the new relationship the two. The woman smiled.
“Are we not used to that? Pretending not to know each other when I was your first hairstylist. You remember, ‘kan?” said the woman.
“But now different, Ga.”
“Nothing is different, Iko. Promise to remain foreign before me when there are others.”
The man's face slightly showed regret at Ega's request, but he really could not do much.
“It's too late. Go home and rest,” ask the woman. His fingers half hesitated to justify the blue hat Iko was wearing, but the man immediately hugged her back.
“I love you,” she said while stroking Ega's soft hair.
The woman just smiled. His lips were still not used to replying to those words. The man then walked back as soon as he let go of his embrace, waving at the woman in a tan dress still standing in the corner of the courtyard. As if the whir of the wind had turned into a beautiful melody cradling the recesses of the heart, the man left with joy. The woman he had hoped to receive his love, finally opened his heart again after being locked for so long. His wait for years has been answered.
The woman walked slowly back into her home. There was still a hint of lingering doubt within him. ‘What if I fail again in the end?’ he muttered in his heart while still stepping foot into his bedroom. His brown eyes stared at the window, recalling one warm kiss given by a friend who had repeatedly expressed love for him.
“Will I be okay if I lose you someday?”

“Good morning, Mother CEO!” greet a woman as soon as entering the workspace of women who had been busy with her computer screen. The woman carried a tote bag containing a white box with a savory aroma that was so distinctive. His steps wide approached the table Ega, handed the parcel right on the table but this time he did not move.
“What's up, Nin?” Ega threw a question at the woman who was looking at him sharply, full of intimidation. Doubtfully Ega pulled the parcel, looking back at Nindy whose gaze increasingly implied many questions.
“Honestly same as me, Ga.”
“Honest? What do you mean?”
The atmosphere in the room was silent for a moment. The two women's eyes returned.
“Tell me who so often sends you these parcels?”
Instantly Ega seemed relieved to hear the question.
“Uhm, the ...,”
Not until the woman answered him, now his smartphone rings breaking the stiffness between the two. Nindy who was too curious, chose to remain seated in front of Ega without shifting a bit.
“I .., I want to take a call first, Nin. Can you come out for a minute?” pinta Ega to her best friend.this time, Nindy insisted she wanted to hear firsthand who contacted her best friend. Feeling increasingly nervous, Ega decided not to pick up the phone.
“Nin I beg, just for a moment,” pinta Ega, but Nindy actually put both hands in front of the chest.
“Halo, papa. Yes pa, I have received the package.” Ega answered the call while hinting at Nindy to move on. The woman finally left the room because the answer she wanted was not in line with expectations.
“You called me papa? Isn't that too rushed?” voice across.
“My partner was in front of me earlier, so I had to disguise a phone call from you. She started to get suspicious of me ever since you sent her parcels almost every day.”
The man chuckles.
“Ega, you know?”
“What?”
“We are like pubescent teenagers who are afraid of being caught by parents if they hide like this,” said the man, who immediately made Ega laugh. Laughter that Iko had been wanting to hear.
“I love your laugh,” concluded the man who instantly made Ega stop him.
“Thank you, Ko. Thank you for always being there for me,” said Ega seriously who was only answered with a small smile by the man.
“Sore later I will see fans in the city hall. I wish you could come if your work is done.
“I don't know. Looks like I can't because my job is too much today,” concluded Ega. The phone call sounded silent.
“Iko? You still hear me?”
“Hm,” reply male is short.
“Are you mad at me?” The woman asked the question again. The phone call was silent again. There was no reply from across, only a heavy-sounding snort of breaths hinting at disappointment.
