CHAPTER 38: THE FAILED MISSION

The brown-eyed woman looked at her best friend. Both of them have now been in the workspace Ega who some time ago caught the commotion that occurred outside his room. Ega seemed to lay both arms in front of his chest, waiting for a word out of the mouth of his best friend who had been silent.

After the noise they caused in front of Ega's room this morning which led to Ega's interrogation on Nindy, they both decided to have lunch outside the office area to talk about his best friend's problem. Both of them seemed to have finished their lunch, and now there were only drinks and a few small meals they ordered to accompany their long conversation. Luke gulped down the americano ice he ordered while occasionally picking up snacks presented in front of him. While Nindy who was sitting in front of him, stirring his drink with a straw. His face looked glum considering his conversation with Ega this morning.

“He's not ready to open his heart yet, Lukas. Whether until when the inner wound will heal,” murmured softly. Luke took a long breath.

He said he was happy with his situation now. He just needs time.” Both silent. Their intention to introduce Ega to someone failed already, before they even managed to bring it together. The woman sipped her drink lazily.

“Do you really think he already has someone in his heart?” asked the man while plucking back the snacks in front of him. Nindy tried to remember, as soon as the woman gasped.

“Garlic bread!” nindy's pounding of tone made Luke choke.

“What?”

“Ega, she often received food shipments some time ago. I got to accept one of them. A box of garlic bread delivered through courier services.”

“Who is the sender?”

“Entah. I don't know either. Even Ega did not give any answers even though I had urged him at that time,” he concluded. The two friends are staring at each other. A gaze that seems able to throw tanya ‘who?’
