Ch 7 — Ikumi
After the fight, Tohrei brought a small wolf that had previously fallen prey to the basilisk. Tohrei brought her to his residence.
Tohrei names the wolf Ikumi after learning that she is a female. Somehow the name crossed Tohrei's mind. He was grateful that the little wolf was happy to be given that name.
Tohrei only realized at that time that Ikumi was a Direwolf who was a species of monster. But what makes him confused is that he cannot understand Ikumi's words. She can only understand Ikumi's body language.
Though he has a monster language skill that allows him to convert monster language to human language.
After being explained by the system he learns that Ikumi actually does not understand the language of monsters. After all as long as he was with Ikumi the little wolf did not bark or howl at all. He only made a small sound when he was injured.
Tohrei invites Ikumi to go around his residence. If you can be honest, Tohrei actually always wanted a pet.
Tohrei also invited Ikumi to go to his garden, he went there while watering the plants.
At night, he slept in his room as usual. Ikumi slept in her room and slept in bed together. Well maybe it's natural for a pet to always want to be with his employer.
The night went by and it seemed that there was no strange dream. Tohrei opened his eyes, slowly waking up from his sleep. He felt his body heavy like something was happening to him.
‘Ukh..., my body feels heavy..., what happened?’ Tohrei looked at his body and saw something foreign.
He saw a pair of wolf ears covered in blankets. It seems like it was Ikumi's ear.
“Kukira what, it turns out Ikum—” Tohrei opened the blanket that covers him and Ikumi but how surprised he was when he saw what was behind the blanket.
‘Se..a loli?!’ A little wolf-eared girl was lying on top of her body. She fell asleep naked.
Tohrei slowly distanced himself from the little girl. ‘Calm myself! You're not a pervert! I don't want to be labeled as a child maniac!’
But the little girl's eyes slowly opened indicating that she was awake. As soon as he woke up he directed his gaze to Tohrei.
“Guuuh!” Tohrei was surprised because of the girl who suddenly woke up.
“Good morning master!” A cute voice came out from the girl's mouth cheerfully.
“Eh? Master?” Tohrei looked confused.
“Master? Who are you?” Ask Tohrei.
“This is me Ikumi! Why can Master forget?” The little girl claiming to be Ikumi puffed her cheeks.
“Ikumi? That you? Seriously?” Tohrei did not believe that the girl in front of him was Ikumi.
“Of course Master!”
‘System, make sure of this, who is the girl, I don't see Ikumi here either, is it true that the girl is Ikumi?’ Tohrei asked the system through his mind.
[It has been confirmed, the girl is Ikumi, her species has changed from direwolf to Fenrir which is a legendary monster. The reason why Ikumi turned out to be like that was because the Fenrir species could transform into a humanoid form. It was likely that he had accidentally changed his form.]
‘Special change? How could that happen?’
[In this world monster species can evolve to be higher. If you ask why Ikumi can turn species into legendary monsters like Fenrir the answer is you.]
‘What do you mean by saying that I am the cause of Ikumi's change?’
[You are an abnormally powerful entity, that's why Ikumi can evolve.]
‘Hm..., does it relate to the letter left by my mother?’
[The possibilities are great.]
“So you're right Ikumi? You really surprised me.” Tohrei sighed and got out of bed.
“Oh yes, you should wear clothes.” Tohrei took out a robe that hung on the wall of the room and gave it to Ikumi.
“Why?” Ikumi seemed confused as to why she should wear the cloth that her master had handed to her.
“You must understand the ethics of Ikumi, you are a woman you know?” Said Tohrei with his back to Ikumi, he seemed to be coming out of the room.
