Ch 19 — Kobolds
Tohrei inadvertently finds the chaos goblins and blessing goblins clashing with each other and the blessing goblins are in a dying state while the chaos goblins excel in numbers. So Tohrei saved them from the goblin chaos. He managed to kill all those goblin chaos.
“Si ... Who you?” One of the blessing goblins asked.
“I? I'm Tohrei.” Tohrei replied casually.
“Thank you Mr. Tohrei for saving us, I don't know what we would have been if it wasn't saved by you.”
“Just relax, oh yeah, it looks like you guys are in a critical mood, what if I heal?” Tohrei offered them healing.
“If you don't mind we will accept it.”
That way Tohrei used his healing skill to heal the wounds of the blessed goblins.
“Now I will say this, do you want to be my followers?” Tohrei asked the blessed goblins.
“By pleasure sir!” They nodded in agreement.
‘I didn't expect they would take it straight away.’ Tohrei did not expect that.
“Then go into inventory.” That was what he said after the blessed goblins agreed to become his followers.
“Inventory?—” Para blessing goblin instantly get into inventory.
“Yosh, let's continue the conquest.” Tohrei went back on a mission.
Next Tohrei found the kobold, a humanoid dog monster. Tohrei found a village with wooden walls, in the village settled kobolds. At the village gate were two kobolds each holding a spear.
Tohrei used a switch to directly appear at the gate. Instantly, the two kobolds who acted as gatekeepers immediately drew their spears towards Tohrei. A look of caution was seen in both of their eyes.
“What do you want human?! Get out of here!” One of the kobolds gave a warning.
“Go? Unfortunately I won't do that.”
“If you are still stubborn we will attack you!”
“Strike me if you guys can indeed.” Tohrei tried to lure them.
The two kobolds were annoyed and finally thrust their spears towards Tohrei. But suddenly the two kobolds' spears disappeared making them surprised and not so do the attack.
“Is this your spear?” Instantly the kobolds turned their eyes to Tohrei. The two kobolds were surprised to see both of their spears in Tohrei's hands.
“How can our spear be in your hand?!”
“Bodo time! Let's attack him with our bare hands!” The other Kobolds tried another way to attack with their bare hands.
“Come!” They shot towards Tohrei.
The two kobolds attacked using claws and fangs.
“What a wrong choice, you should choose to just give up.”
When the two kobolds tried to attack using claws, Tohrei grabbed both of their hands and crushed them slightly.
It made both of them scream in pain and try to retreat but could not. They could only kneel with their wrists still held by Tohrei.
“Alright I think the playfulness is enough.” Tohrei removed the wrists of the two kobolds and used healing to their wrists. Tohrei was confident they would not strike back after witnessing and sensing for themselves its power.
Both of them were surprised because their hands healed suddenly. “Bring me in front of your leader, I don't want to waste time and want to finish my mission soon.” The monsters he had to subdue were still so numerous that he did not want to waste any time.
The two kobolds looked at each other before they nodded as if agreeing to something.
“We will tell the king in advance for this.” One of the kobolds went into the village with the intention of telling Tohrei whereabouts and intentions here.
‘King? Is that an exaggerated designation for someone who only leads the village?’ Tohrei responded to the mention for their leader.
“Usahkan do it quickly.” Tohrei had the kobold report it quickly.
After a while, the kobold returned and said that he was allowed to enter and meet their king.
Tohrei was escorted by the two gatekeepers all the way to a tent, it was the place where their leader was. After arriving, the two guards then withdrew from there and returned to guard at the gate.
“So what brings you here humans? Not usually humans can speak our language.” The kobold leader sat on a simple throne. His face looks more like a wolf than a dog unlike any other kobold.
What he was talking about was the language of monsters that became the language for all monsters in this world. It is said that only a few non-monster creatures can speak the language of monsters.
“Shortly, be my follower.” Tohrei directly stated his intentions without further ado.
