Ch 40 — Ogre
Tohrei walked out of the room and went towards where the monsters were doing the construction.
Tohrei see the development looks smooth. While he was looking around, one of the monsters ran while talking to Tohrei though it was not clear. He seems to want to give up something.
“Tu...lord!” The monster called out to Tohrei in a hurry. He was a kobold who was supposed to serve as a wall guard. In addition to the monsters in charge of building and hunting, there are also those in charge of guarding. Tohrei had given the kobold its name. His name is Werfen.
“Hm? What's up?” Tohrei asked.
“There's something I want to convey.”
“Quickly say, it looks like this is a precarious state.” Tohrei could understand the situation from the look on the face of the kobold.
“I have three things I want to say.”
“Then shorten it so this goes fast.”
“The first thing I want to say is that there are some adventurers trying to get through the wall. We managed to repel them because of our quantity and strength.”
‘Adventures? Looks like they'll be back here because of the wall that stands there.’ Of course they would feel strange about the existence of the wall and immediately report to their guild. But it must have taken a long time because of the vastness of this forest. Unless they have a skill or item that can move them quickly.
“The second thing is the thing that makes me rush here my lord.”
“What is it?”
“Monster is very dangerous coming here soon. He was a very large slime. The problem is that he can devour anything and cannot be attacked. Fortunately he has a slow pace so it took a long time to get here.”
“Then I have to fight it directly? Then the last thing?”
“When we were on guard, there were three ogres asking to enter into this region. We said we'd ask for your response first. They are still waiting for approval until now.”
“Then take me there.”
“Baik” They walked to the location. The Kobold was the one who escorted Tohrei.
“Please can we pass?! We just want to pass through this region in order to be able to leave quickly! Can't that be?! Please!” A blue-haired ogre girl pleaded resignedly.
“We said wait for our master, we can not decide it without the consent of mr.” The orcs guarding the wall spoke to him.
“So they are the ogre?” Tohrei came there along with the kobold who drove him.
So until finally Tohrei met three ogres that he meant. But Tohrei did not expect that the ogre was so different from his shadow.
In his shadow the ogre was a huge monster with a sinister and horned face. But in reality the ogre he saw now was a creature that had a look very similar to humans. It was just that they had two pairs of horns on their foreheads.
Among the three ogres there was a girl who looked identical with Tohrei. Then there was the little girl who seemed to be his sister. Then there was the ogre who was older than the two of them, she seemed to be their mother.
‘They three look very pretty, well that's natural because it looks like they're mother and son. Or maybe the three of them are brothers?’ Tohrei was a bit confused when he thought about the relationship because what he thought was their mother looked very young.
“Ah mr Tohrei, so you already know? Then it will be easy, what is your decision regarding this my lord?” The Orc asked his master's decision.
“Tu..lord?” The ogre girl turned her eyes to Tohrei. He did not expect that the master of the monsters was a human and again he was as sorry for him.
“My decision? Hey before I decide this there's something I want to ask you guys.” Tohrei spoke to the three ogres.
“A..what is it?”
“What's the reason you guys want to pass this region?” Ask Tohrei.
“I..it....,” The ogre girl found it rather heavy to say it to Tohrei. It was as if he remembered a bad incident that he did not want to tell.
“This story will feel long I guess.”
“As short as possible, I know you're in a precarious state right?”
