Ch 58 — Kill For The First Time

After finally reaching the end of the forest, before long they immediately continued their journey while enjoying the blowing wind. They walk leisurely to enjoy it and are not in a hurry to travel.

They walked for about an hour and found something not far from their sight.

What was not far away was the clear black smoke. The black smoke was smoky from a fire that occurred in a small village they could see. The fire has hit almost the entire village.

“It looks like something happened there, come on Ikumi.” Tohrei darted quickly followed by Ikumi at almost the same speed.

“Um Master!” Ikumi nodded slowly and followed Tohrei.

They reached the small village and saw a bloody scene. The bodies of the villagers lay on the ground with marks on the bodies of the dead.

“What is this village being looted?” Tohrei looked for a moment at the bodies of those people before turning his eyes. He saw a group of bandits who were looting various things in the village. The bandits captured the women and the treasures of the village.

“Ikumi, finish off those who plundered this village!” Ikumi replied with a nod and immediately shot towards the bandits.

“” Ikumi makes the bandits bounce with her wind magic and release their loot.

The villagers were surprised by the sudden appearance of Ikumi. Meanwhile Tohrei extinguished the fire that burned the village with his skill.

“” Tohrei creates rain over the village and the water falls slowly extinguishing the blazing fire.

“Rain? How could? Shouldn't it be the weather—?!” One of the bandits looked up. He was surprised but his shock was cut, a rope tied his entire body from toe to mouth. It happened to other bandits.

It was Tohrei's act, after casting his magic, Tohrei used his creation and telekinesis skills to bind them.

After some time, they managed to capture all the bandits. Then someone approached them and asked.

“Who are you two? But putting that aside we are very grateful to have captured the bandits who tried to plunder this village.” An old man came before Tohrei.

“We're just travelers who happen to pass by. I am Tohrei and the one beside me is Ikumi. Who are you?” Tohrei introduced herself as well as Ikumi.

“A human side by side with a beastman? What a rare thing. I am the kades of this village, my name is Ezardo.”

‘Rare? What does it mean system?’ Tohrei asked the system after a long time.

[In Enervelia, humans and beastmen are not on good terms. That was because beastmen were treated like slaves and looked down upon by some humans. This caused hostility between them.]

‘As soon as it turns out, it means that when in the city later I have to disguise Ikumi so as not to invite things that are not desirable.’

“Ezardo? By the way, what do you think these bandits should do? They have killed the villagers.” Tohrei glanced at the bandits who had been captured. The bandits could only paled hoping that something bad would not happen to them again.

“How yes..., I do not know what to do on them, maybe we can ask the opinion of the villagers.” Ezardo questioned the villagers, they were as ignorant as Ezardo.

“Then I will take them first, I will think about what I will do to them. Ikumi, follow me and take them.” Tohrei walked away not far from the village.

“Good Master.” Ikumi dragged easily all the bandits who numbered in the tens by dragging a rope connected to the rope that bound the bandits.

Tohrei remembered something that made his path stop. He looked back and relayed a message to the village chief. “I almost forgot, I intend to stay in this village for some time, can you prepare a room for both of us?”

“Of course Mr. Tohrei.” The village chief replied.

After that Tohrei walked back towards the outside of the village.

“Now what will I do to you guys huh?” Tohrei began to think about what he would do to these looters.

“Instead of being killed in vain, what if I dump you with gluttony?” Tohrei smiled faintly.

“Ikumi, are you able to see me kill them? If you don't turn around then I'll do it now.” Tohrei commemorates Ikumi.

“I can Master!”

“Alright then..” Tohrei inhaled a deep breath before letting out his skill.

“” Tohrei's eyes are momentarily purplish when the skill activation begins.

Purplish black smoke shot out from Tohrei's hands and devoured the entire bandit. The bandits could only paled as they felt a bad premonition from the purplish black smoke.

As soon as the purplish-black smoke re-entered his hands, the entire bandit vanished without a trace.

After that Tohrei suddenly broke out in cold sweat and also his breathing felt heavy. “Killing people for the first time, this makes me feel guilty, even though they are also guilty.” Tohrei felt a sense of unwearing after killing the bandits, whereas earlier when he saw someone killed before his eyes he was fine.

But this feeling did not burden him, instead he felt helped because of course the heavier things would definitely happen to him.
